    i lived in taylor tower first two years, and although it is one of the older dorms, i preferred it much to the newer dorms on north campus that are just two people in a small suite(when i visited my friends dorms in the new ones). Taylor tower and other older dorms have a bathroom in the room rather than a communal bathroom which is nice. also the rooms in taylor have two separate rooms (one for beds, one for desks/common area) rather than one room. and my rooms in taylor had A/C. The 4 person suite you showed in the video is definitely the best option. but if you are going with a 2 person dorm, i prefer the older ones to the newer ones.

    I’m kind of biased actually haha. Even though I attend a regional campus of Ohio State, I still love North Campus. It is very practical and accessible which is why I love it so much.
    I think a cool video for you to film would be one explaining all or most of the colleges within Ohio State like Moritz or CFAES. I think it’d be a cool informational video for incoming or prospective students.
    Love the video and congrats on 1,000 subs.

    I lived in the Stadium my freshman year. I lived in unit A and was the floor rep. I had one roommate in a four person room. We had our own dining area and a music room that had a pool table and other things to do and small snacks, etc. We also had a place to do laundry. What we didn't have were windows. Only two or three rooms in the entire dorm had windows. I loved it. I believe the Stadium scholarship students are in Mack Hall now... I worked in the old Student Union before it was redone, at Woody's place, which was an on campus bar. TFS. How firm thy friendship, Ohio...💖💖💖

    Recommend Canfield/Mack as a first-year. Sure the no AC is absolutely brutal in the first part of the year, the community is insane. I knew almost everyone on all four floors of Mack and Canfield because the no AC forces you to meet people in the common spaces. It is by far the best dorm for freshmen! Just make sure to bring a ton of fans!

      Hi! I'm a current first-year Honors student living in Taylor. Lincoln is on west campus and has a unique dorm set up due to the shape of the building itself. I believe every floor has a common room and there's either 2 or 4 people to a room. The major drawback is the distance from main campus. It's not too bad of a walk, but the Towers (Morrill and Lincoln) are generally considered to be one of the worse dorms you can get. There is a/c though. Bradley falls under Miles' category 2, they're pretty typical dorms. No a/c though, which frustrates my friends living there. South campus is very scenic and Bradley is incredibly close to the Oval and to Mirror Lake eatery, which has fantastic milkshakes and chicken tenders. Taylor is on North and has a/c. The location is great, it's close to Scott dining hall, close to the academic buildings, and has a/c. It's also very close to High Street, a Starbucks, and a Target. The downside is that there's no common room on every floor, but there is one on the ground floor. If I'm ranking the three Honors Halls from best to worst, I'd say Taylor, Bradley, then Lincoln. You can look for the floor plans for every room type on the OSU housing website, see the types of rooms each building has, and also take a virtual tour of the room. Good luck with the rest of your senior year and welcome to Ohio State!

    How bad is “hot” over there because I’m going from Los Angeles and I’m used to it being 80-90 degrees all year round? And where do Junior and seniors usually live (north, south, etc)??

    • @MilesWare
      @MilesWare  4 года назад +6

      I'd say it usually 80-90 during August and maybe the first week of September but after that it declines. Juniors and Seniors typically live off campus or on north campus for the most part.

    • @MilesWare

      A fellow Mack hall resident I see, don’t worry too much about it there are some worse dorms. As for the bathrooms, believe it or not they were very nice my freshman year bc they were newly renovated. At least on my floor. Imagine having a personal bathroom like at home with a shower, sink, and toilet but it’s out in the hall. That’s Mack Hall so it’s better than most dorms when it comes to bathrooms haha

    • @MilesWare

      North and South are both great locations for freshmen. I personally prefer South though because I feel it has a stronger freshmen community. Some dorms I think are great for freshmen would be Smith Steeb (south), Park Stradley (south), Scott House (north), and Taylor Tower(north). Also, no need to be nervous lol, you'll be fine because housing is pretty nice all around for the most part here.

    • @MilesWare

      Depends on what you want, if you care a lot about location: lincoln is west, Bradley is south, and Taylor is north. Lincoln is a very social dorm but is kinda out of the way. Bradley and Taylor have good locations and have a good social dynamic as well.
