Belated happy birthday, Dave. That's a hell of a good Universal Monsters (and Hammer) viewing list. Glad you and Jessi enjoyed it.

The Invisible Man Returns is great, and its early Vincent Price. The original Invisble Man is one of my favorite movies of all time.
Hopefully i can go on a trip to Barnes and Noble, its about an hour away from where I live, but i need that Fear and Loathing 4K for sure.

Yes, loving The Invisible Man and other early horror films on the Universal Monsters channel these days. Hope you enjoy the Barnes and Noble Criterion sale.

They screened Tremors in 35mm at Exhumed Films 24 hr horrorthon this past October. Since I previously only really seen it on cable before, I was shocked at all the swearing, lol. Also, the dad from Family Ties is Michael Gross and that little girl on the pogo stick is the same girl from Jurassic Park

Wow, cool that there was a screening of Tremors in 35mm. First time watch for me and I loved it. Michael Gross was really good in the film. Are any of the sequels good? Didn't look like it but might watch.

@@CinemaDaveMedia at least Tremors 2, but anything after that may test your capacity for Jamie Kennedy or Jon Heder. The 4th installment is an 1880s prequel! And they all feature Steven Keaton, so there's that

Happy birthday! I have to thank you for recommending In A Lonely Place. I saw it this weekend and loved it! I'll definitely be adding it to my criterion collection soon. Thanks as always for the videos. Keep up the good work.
So far I have picked up Rushmore and Take Out.

That was a fun one and glad to see Jessie picking out the best supermarket trolley - I do the same thing, lol.
If you’re going to add Tremors to your collection, make sure to pick up the Arrow 4K. It really is a fantastic master which showed off the location beautifully. There’s also some really nice extras. Tremors 2 is also a great release on Arrow in 4K, not quite as good as the first one but still a great addition.
Sorry I couldn’t make it to the live stream, hope you had a good one. (I’ll watch the upload later this week). Best wishes to you both.

Happy birthday Dave! Loving these vlogs, love the "slice of life" format you've given them. Working my way through the Tales of the Four Seasons box set as well, I've watched the Winter and Spring films so far and they're both amazing. The Summer film is on my list for sometime this week or next, would love your thoughts on those when you get around to them!

Thanks very much and appreciate the feedback and kind words. Good to know you are enjoying the Tales of the Four Seasons set which was at the top of my list to pickup. Will definitely share more thoughts on the set after I watch.

I love how you refer to Hammer Horror films as “cosy horror” 😂 Oddly enough, that is such an accurate description for them!

@@CinemaDaveMedia Funny you should mention the sound of the footsteps because that’s one of the first thing I noticed when I started watching Hammer horror films. The clicking of the men’s footsteps.

Happy Birthday. I didn't realize that the sale started before the first, so today I went to the local B&N that has a bit more movies and got all 4Ks: Don't Look Now, Walkabout, Le Cercle Rouge, The Trial and the Hong Kong double feature of Heroic Trio and Executioners.

    • @CinemaDaveMedia

Thanks very much. Wow, you picked up so many great films. I love the Barnes and Noble sales because there is more time to add a few more films to my collection.

@@CinemaDaveMedia Absolutely. Not every one, but the huge majority of my Criterion collection have come from the 50% off sales. I saw Peeping Tom on BD there too and was very tempted, but I'd kind of prefer to spend the extra money and get the 4K. I will probably make at least one more order either online or at another B&N I meet a friend at.

The Barnes and Noble near me doesn’t carry movies and CDs anymore. However they told me that I could still order the criterion collection movies at their store at the 50% off price and they will ship the movies to my home free of charge because I was a Barnes and Noble rewards member. I was going to do that but then I was told that I had to pay $40 to upgrade my membership to Premium member since I had a free membership

Hello. Apologies for not answering sooner - just reviewing unanswered comments today. My closest Barnes and Noble which is in a mall has less and less physical media these days which is sad. I sometimes ask if they have Criterion films and they will pull a box from the back room for me to look through. I do more online ordering now.
