Long time watcher and lurker, but it's time to comment since it's always nice to see Gus, glad he's doing well. The plant community is so fast paced, we see new plants every day and don't know what survives and what doesn't with a lot of plant RUclipsrs so I appreciate seeing a familiar plant that is several years old. Keep up the great work, always loving your videos.
I'm not sick of seeing your gloriosums, I still want one! Also I now have two blue oily bois and they are the LITERAL BEST! My Gus is a solid green spider plant that I've had for 11 YEARS and I've moved across the US with her
Hi Kaylee That blue colour fern is also known as " Neon fern " or " Peocock fern " I have a stock of them its not that much hard to maintain it grows under 80% shade. Thx
I bought the oil slick fern for my collection when it was first shown on this channel. It grows slowly for me but it's pretty harder. The metallic blue color becomes more pronounces as it gets bigger and older. A beautiful plant doesn't need to be rare to be appreciated. Whenever my husband enters the sunroom, I ask him which is his favorite and he always points at the prayer plant which I've had in my collection for many years. I'll never let it go.
Always great to see Gus & good old Ph. micans lurking in the background! Classic Maranta is one of my faves, I treat mine so bad, yet she's growing like there's no tomorrow. Have to cut & propagate her when the days get a little bit longer because she's gone way too wild.
Hi Kaylee!! Thank you so much for all your videos! Your content has brought me so much joy! I love who you are! It’s so much fun listening to your unfiltered opinions. I’ve learned so much about plants from you! I just recently got into keeping house plants in December. White fusion calathea was my first house plant I was able to keep alive!!! It has been such a confidence booster. It warms my heart every time you pull Gus out for the camera. Thank you so much for being you!
I've had my blue oil fern for 2 years and it's more green than blue. I've experimented with light levels, heat, humidity, feed, soil/moss but it makes very little difference. Maybe not all blue oils are made the same, it still has hints of blue in the right angle and when wet. It's still a very beautiful plant! Other than the colour it has not been a fussy plant, lots of leaf growth.
The plant that always impresses me is Cebu Blue. It is so easy to propagate. Its silvery bluish leaves really pops, even more than its newer cousin Baltic Blue. It can hang and trail down its metallic foiliage or climb to grow fenestrating leaves.
I recognize that my Gloriosom is still immature, but boy would I love for it to grow up like yours. Your Gloriosum is gorgeous. Don’t let anybody say otherwise.
I NEVER get tired of seeing a Gloriosum. They even showed up here in Sweden at a few local shops. I've been looking for regular green form for ages, and they're like literally so damn cheap. I've had the dark form for almost a year now, which I bought from PlantThatPlant at a garden show. BEST.PLANT.EVER! have literally chopped him into 5 separate plants and he just won't quit, I'm running out of space! Keep showing us dem round pretty Bois!
I also have a red maranta that has come back from the brink of death many, many times. Makes me laugh, because he’s currently at four leaves after a beautiful summer. He’s a Gus (Gus 2?) for sure.
Much luv to Gus what a special wee guy 💚🤗🌱 Another smashing video Kaylee, that blue oily boii has been top of my wish list since you hauled him..can't wait to get my hands on one, sadly so many for sale aren't the actual blue oil fern but a imposter 😡 So buyer beware and go to reputable sellers, like our lovely queen Kaylee. Have a wonderful February ppl 🌱💚
Blue oil fern, has been listed endangered on IUCN. Very beautiful, best to avoid purchasing in my opinion, unless it comes from duplicated indoor specimens😱. Thanks for sharing miss Ellen!
I have a blue oil, and I was told to keep it out of any sun to get more blue, and mine is just straight green. I'm going to try getting it more natural light and see if that gives me any more blues. They really are great plants. Mine is easy to grow. Growing mine in a plastic meah basket in moss.
I totally get your love for marantas - they are so cool, who wouldn´t like them? :-) It´s funny that my Lemon Lime is chilled, steady grower, has never any issues, and simply loves life, but the Red one is simply mad - it grows like crazy for months, then seems suicidal for a few weeks, than grows madly again...and like that we have 3 & 4th generation growing that is less mad, but still definitely not as chilled as the always cool Lemon Lime beside it 😀
Lmao I almost squealed when I saw Gus. Dang, he's looking fine :D totally love the aglaonema as well and can't wait for you to finish your trial phase with your plant feed cause honestly, your plants size up so nicely, I am utterly jealous. Looking forward to the next video, Kaylee, keep up the great work :)
Gus looks great! The blue oil fern is so lovely but difficult to find. I always love seeing a gorgeous gloriosum, since I don't really have space to grow a big crawler! Of course, all of these plants are lovely.
Since I get notified when you upload new videos. In a semi conscious state of waking up I read the title as "Am I depressed? Definitely!" and I said same Kaylee, same. And fell back asleep
That microsorum thailandicum is AMAZING! Also, I’ll never get tired of gloriosum! I like the round form the most, I think but I don’t remember what the dark form looks like. I really want one of the mysterious dark boys too! C’mon spring! Lol
You're probably right. Years ago alot of plants were imported from Thailand with wrong names. Back in the 70's the green form is named and pictured as 'Manila' in the Aglaonema Growers Notebook and sp. marantifolium in the book Tropica.
The Huntington has the blue oil fern for sale as part of their 2022 ISI catalogue (viewable online). The listing has info on the care. They're exploring growing it as a succulent.
Love my blue oil fern! Thanks for introducing me to this plant. Yours is looking very nice! Did you ever solve the issue with that importer that sent you a plant and you never rec'd and they would not refund your money? Sorry if you already discussed this and I missed it. The last I remember you were going to expose the importer if they did not resolve. I believe the importer had sent you a second plant and that one was lost also? I had a bad experience importing plants from Giromagi Nursery in Italy. They sell mostly succulents and cactus - I know, you are not really into these plants. One of my imports was lost and another import was found to have pests and was refused entry into the USA. Giromagi refused to refund me saying that importers need to learn how to import and Giromagi had no responsibility for the plants. Finally did get refunded thru claims on credit card/PayPal. I love their plant selection and great quality, but I can no longer order from them as now they will only accept bank transfer for payments, and they are saying up front that they will not be responsible for plants if they are refused entry into USA due to pest.
I love the blue oil fern. However the one I bought only came with three leaves and lost two. It did not make it. It was a very expensive lesson. I have not tried to get another. I think I would have had a better chance if I had purchased in the states instead of from Thailand. It took so long to get through customs.
I love maranta's and Gus is a fine example of one. I also love your blue oil fern. I've been on a hunt for one since you showed your's, I could only find one seller on Etsy here in the US and it looked green not blue. I think it's going to be a long hunt. Thank you for the video.
That pink diamond is apparently hard to find. I keep seeing like weird varigated versions. And I don't love them. I like the solid fade to mint. I'm not a big pink person either, but the way that grows is really neat! Hopefully I can find one!
Great video, nice to see you’re still passionate about the “oldies”. My blue oil fern is great. Deliveries plenty of growth, good blue colour. Accidentally snapped a leaf off the other day when I was admiring it hahahaha oops! Must remember they’re not the most flexible….
Have you considered progagting the microsorum through spores? It's not quite that difficult, but it does take a while, however you usually get a ridiculous amount of plants from it in the end.
Micans behind Kaylee be like "Am I a joke to you?" (Any time Kaylee talks about houseplants she loves, that impress her, that you should buy and never mentioning that gorgeous Micans behind her. )
I just stumbled upon them at the local grocery store for 8.99 in a hanging 6” pot…but these babies are going to grow vertically ASAP! The bigger and older they grow, the closer to the look of Melanochrysum they develop.
I don't know if you know this - maybe you expect it - but it is true: I LOVE your intro. It just became comforting for me to always hear this melody when you say your words. Lovely greetings from Berlin, Germany 🙂
SUCH fabulous plants, happy to see them again!! I LOVE the gloriosum, show that any time. We mostly only have the common least impressive form here in Australia, the white vein ones are still hard to get and have a bit of a price attached - I finally have managed to get one, so am delighted to see how he might tun out! I also have a red vein maranta I have named Mini Gus after yours 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Happy to see original Gus doing well lol!! :)
Who TF is bored of blue oily boi? Not me! And glad to see the OG's Gus and Gloriosum, sometimes a plant just hooks us and it's for life regardless of how rare or common, fashionable or 'passe' it is on the whim du jour trend-o-meter.
I have a massive queen anthurium, growing so long and strong, but my gloriosum tho? Yellowing, bleached out, losing leaves, and grows a leaf every 5 months. 😂 I cannot get it right. Which I’ve found certain people go through the same. I do think in general people find them easy. Basically I agree with Kaylees opinion about what I’ve just said. But I definitely don’t find them easy. 😂 also mine was sold as dark form and there’s nothing dark about it. About to chop it up and put it in a much lower light source and see if that works.
I found a beautiful plant that leaves are very dark purple or look black in most light. Flowers are red, sold to me as one sort of orchid. It is not an orchid, but trying to figure out what it is. Gorgeous though.
What is with these What's App stuff and Telegram app stuff. She's always transparent about who she is in her videos. If your a scammer quit bothering people. We are not stupid. We don't need to be bothered.

Re: the gloriosum - I don't care what's "in." I like what I like. Gloriosum is stunning. I started my plant journey being influenced to buy a lot of plants that I didn't like, and they totally suffered in my care, almost all have died. I have 1 of those coin-shaped leaf friendship plants? that grows tons of offshoots sitting under a shelf that gets watered once or twice a year and it just keeps hanging on - poor thing!! It should have died years ago.

Long live gus!
Agreed! Gus ❤️
Gloriosum is gorgeous. I think we are at our happiest when we can still fall in love with and appreciate what we have instead of only loving novelty.
Well said.
I'm not sick of seeing your gloriosums, I still want one! Also I now have two blue oily bois and they are the LITERAL BEST! My Gus is a solid green spider plant that I've had for 11 YEARS and I've moved across the US with her
I can so relate to ‘it’s not a stash… it’s a problem’ I think I have about 20 gloriosum and their x’s and still counting 😂 they are the best.
Oh my gosh I am in love with that blue fern! How stunning! Ive never seen that before!! Thankyou for sharing💙
I love my blue oil fern so much! Super easy plant for me and mine is about as blue as yours :D It's just something else!
Hello, where did you buy it?
I want one so badly. Everyone is out and imports are beyond expensive. Can't wait till I can find one here in the states. It's so so lovely.💙🪴
What are you keeping yours in substrate-wise? I was able to find one, but it shipped in what looked like baked chocolate cake.
What humidity levels do you grow it in and type of soil? X
Hi Kaylee

Gus looks amazing! Funnily enough, I just watched his repot half an hour ago - so good to know how it came out 😎
I hadn't seen a video of yours in a while, but loved seeing Gus come back for the camera 🥰
I love Aglaonema, I wish we had some of the colors I've seen online available in the USA.
I know RIGHT!! they're sooo beautiful!! I hope they come to the US soon!!
i want a whipple way but i will wait until its tissue cultured and 20 at home depot
Microsorum thailandicum is amazing...i love its shimmering bluish color
I finally got this fern. Her description of the leaves is very accurate. I'm loving this plant.
That blue oil fern is still goals 🙌 😍
Always great to see Gus & good old Ph. micans lurking in the background! Classic Maranta is one of my faves, I treat mine so bad, yet she's growing like there's no tomorrow. Have to cut & propagate her when the days get a little bit longer because she's gone way too wild.
She should record a short/reel with these plants to the audio "cuz after all this time... I'm still into you..." wouldnt that be so cool
Hi Kaylee!! Thank you so much for all your videos! Your content has brought me so much joy! I love who you are! It’s so much fun listening to your unfiltered opinions. I’ve learned so much about plants from you!

Me too epi pinnatum cebu blue is from cebu, philippines many rare plants there too👏
Love the update on Gus
Gus’s hairstyle is me on a Monday morning 😂
I recognize that my Gloriosom is still immature, but boy would I love for it to grow up like yours. Your Gloriosum is gorgeous. Don’t let anybody say otherwise.

Always wanna see gloriousm on camera. It’s gorgeous!! That whiter vein ones are not common in Oz. We have the muted veins.
I really love the blue plant; it’s stunning! Thanks for sharing.
I love the Gloriosum! Even after 3 years of seeing it ❤
That mystery dark boi is gorgeous!
16:40 The Blue Oil fern look so extraterrestrial! Gosh! I need to have that as well!
Girl, have to say you're eyes are popping in this video. Love the eye make-up. Looks gorgeous
So many beautiful plants! Many thanks for sharing and for this video! 👌🪴🥰
The plants I've had awhile that are easy and fast and showstopping are philodendron Majesty and Jose Buono and syngonium Thai Pink Splash.
Blue oil fern, has been listed endangered on IUCN. Very beautiful, best to avoid purchasing in my opinion, unless it comes from duplicated indoor specimens😱.
Thanks for sharing miss Ellen!
What a Lovely lot of beauties! 😍🤩😍💖💖. Gus is one happy boy! I never tire of seeing my of them 💓💓💓💓💓🥰
Really enjoying your vids lately! Love all the plants
I have a blue oil, and I was told to keep it out of any sun to get more blue, and mine is just straight green. I'm going to try getting it more natural light and see if that gives me any more blues. They really are great plants. Mine is easy to grow. Growing mine in a plastic meah basket in moss.
Someone asked me once if I could only have 1 plant but could fill my house with it what would it be. Gloriosum!💯🥰
I totally get your love for marantas - they are so cool, who wouldn´t like them? :-) It´s funny that my Lemon Lime is chilled, steady grower, has never any issues, and simply loves life, but the Red one is simply mad - it grows like crazy for months, then seems suicidal for a few weeks, than grows madly again...and like that we have 3 & 4th generation growing that is less mad, but still definitely not as chilled as the always cool Lemon Lime beside it 😀
Me. I don't particularly like them.
Lmao I almost squealed when I saw Gus. Mysterious Dark Boi should be a official botanical name
What plant do you have
Anthurium sp. Mysterious Dark Boi😎
Since I get notified when you upload new videos. In a semi conscious state of waking up I read the title as "Am I depressed? Definitely!" and I said same Kaylee, same. And fell back asleep
That Blue Oil Fern is really nice.
And Gus is looking quite handsome!
I love that Homalomena Pink Diamond!! 😭
I have one Microsorum Thailandicum or blue oil fern. Yes, it amazes me all the time.
Love gloriosum! So easy and tolerant of neglect. I would buy all of them if they were in a garden center
That microsorum thailandicum is AMAZING! Also, I’ll never get tired of gloriosum! I like the round form the most, I think but I don’t remember what the dark form looks like. I really want one of the mysterious dark boys too! C’mon spring! Lol
Pink diamond is stunning!
I love my maranta. I have the lemon lime, the red, the green and the variegated. Looking forward to finding the black band and silver one
Here in Florida Manila Pride is the non variegated form and Bangkok Dream is the variegated form.
Definitely, your place is making up an id. That aglaonema is tagged as Ag. 'Manila's Pride'. It's from the Philippines 💚
You're probably right. Years ago alot of plants were imported from Thailand with wrong names. Back in the 70's the green form is named and pictured as 'Manila' in the Aglaonema Growers Notebook and sp. marantifolium in the book Tropica.

I love the Glories, have numerous other philodendren and I kill them every time. I give up. I can't grow any heart shaped anthurium or Philo.
I love you Kaylee, that is all. Continue on with the amazing videos ❤
Bloody hell, I just drool everytime I see that Whipple Way, lol..really into blue oily boi too 💙

I think I would have had a better chance if I had purchased in the states instead of from Thailand. It took so long to get through customs.
Im so happy you showed that blue fern again! I fell in love last time u showed it and forgot to add it to my wishlist! Not forgetting this time💯💙💙💙😘
I love maranta's and Gus is a fine example of one. I also love your blue oil fern. I've been on a hunt for one since you showed your's, I could only find one seller on Etsy here in the US and it looked green not blue. I think it's going to be a long hunt. Thank you for the video.

The thalandicum was so pretty thanks for the share.
la maranta leuconora, GUS ? est la plus belle, la meilleure 😊 Un grand MERCI pour vos vidéos ! Et 🍀 pour vous !
Gus is looking AMAZING!
I do still love gloriosum...I always will sooo beautiful
I have a blue oil fern and it hasn’t grown at all, so maybe I’ll try pon!
Great video, nice to see you’re still passionate about the “oldies”.
My blue oil fern is great. Deliveries plenty of growth, good blue colour. Accidentally snapped a leaf off the other day when I was admiring it hahahaha oops! Must remember they’re not the most flexible….
PLEASE PLEASE get the homalomena in your shop, I need it in my life 😍

Wow I love that fern it is gorgeous I would love to get my hands on one of those wow
I really want this aglaonema please start to sell them cause omg my God they're amazing

I just stumbled upon them at the local grocery store for 8.99 in a hanging 6” pot…but these babies are going to grow vertically ASAP! The bigger and older they grow, the closer to the look of Melanochrysum they develop.
I was looking at that too! Fricken huge!! 😮
I don't know if you know this - maybe you expect it - but it is true:
I LOVE your intro. It just became comforting for me
to always hear this melody when you say your words.
Lovely greetings from Berlin, Germany 🙂
Gus!! He is stunning💕
In the US they’ve started selling gloriosums in hardware stores
Ma'am .... Your eye makeup... 😍😍😍😍😍
Gloriosum is gorgeous👍👍
I have a massive queen anthurium, growing so long and strong, but my gloriosum tho? Yellowing, bleached out, losing leaves, and grows a leaf every 5 months. 😂 I cannot get it right. Which I’ve found certain people go through the same. I do think in general people find them easy. Basically I agree with Kaylees opinion about what I’ve just said. But I definitely don’t find them easy. 😂 also mine was sold as dark form and there’s nothing dark about it. About to chop it up and put it in a much lower light source and see if that works.
been wanting the blue oil fern for years but it is so hard to find it where i live.
Love these plants!
I really like that philo dendron SP tropical!!! It's darling. I never see that here, where do I get it? I'm in California.
I have Microsorum thailandicum and it is so slow growing guy... 😣
But I love it so much.
My one is easy to grow but it is not as blue as yours.. they are stunning though
Coolplants! BTW.saw your comment on Twitter.Congratulations!!
I was finally able to pick up a blue oil fern, but am having difficulty finding ideal growing conditions. What substrate are you keeping yours in?
Hoya sulawesiana but blue. There are many of these where I'm at (SEA), but none as blue as yours. M. thailandicum (and its counter part, M. siamensis) are lithophytic, and would therefore likely love pon. I kept them in conditions in varying light/humidity/media/moisture, all going above 30C, but they never get as blue. I'm suspecting consistent lighting and temperature.
Everytime I tell one of my plants how beautiful it is and that I love it.... it dies
Gus inspired me to get my own red maranta ❤
You are doing a real 👍 good job
All time favourite Gloriossum......
Lovely....lovely!!
Hey Kaylee, the suspected "red beauty" could it be anthurium chamberlainii?
They’re still insanely expensive on Etsy USA and no one has them locally. I love it but won’t pay $200+ for it. (Manila Pride)
My Microsorum Thailadicum is still not blue. I’m so sad now seeing yours
It's aglaonema Siam Jade what we called here in indonesia
