Really like how its coming along. A big undertaking for sure but its such an awesome truck. Aftermarket fuel tank and sender unit seems to be the best way for sure. I don't know how far you've come, as I just found your videos. I would take that gas tank to a radiator shop and have it cleaned, that's what I did with the tank from my 50 3800 long bed.
I'm working on a '55 GMC truck right now. I just bought a gas tank cleaner kit from Eastwood off Amazon. I haven't used it yet but just thought I'd share.
I'm gonna have to check it out! They're so tough to fine replacement tanks for the panel so I'm trying to save this one, it's been fixed twice before but I think I can save her!
