In reality Furnace seems to be weaker than Mecha since Furnace is more centered in speed and its lack of y'know stamina and being a kinda rushed creation making it's composition probably less prepared for taking damage Mecha is more of a robot built for combat, speeding and engineering due to its capability to use Robotniks machinery
@@iancortescontreras6084 Furnace is a glasscannon upgrade for metal sonic. He could probably pierce through Mecha's armor with his claws, and even melt Mecha, but he doesn't win on ENDURANCE standards. Furnace (during prey) himself was outrun by sonic, because if he kept trying to chase down sonic normally, he'd end up overheating and either damaging himself or turning off. (Starved knows about this, and worked a plan around, where he catches sonic with furnace offguard, later.) It depends on how Mecha and Furnace will fight each other. If Mecha is too aggressive, he can lose. If Furnace does not use his abilities correctly, and overheats, he can lose.
@@speed0291 Well you gotta remember, even after getting his shins kicked in by Sonic he had the durability and endurance to to also fight Knuckles and completely wreck an EggMobile
@@sussybaka3648 Furnace was stated in the original creppypasta to match Sonic in all aspects and even surpass him in some. Sonic defeats Mecha.. so Furnace in theory should defeat Mecha. I genuinely think Furnace's only problem against Mecha would be him overheating.

1 know everyone says that Mecha Sonic would win so to make things fair and much more interesting. Let's say that while Mecha Sonic has the Chaos Emeralds, Starved has the all of the time stones and Furnace Sonic has all of the Sol Emeralds (because fire). And let's say, like how Mecha Sonic can become Super Mecha Sonic, Furnace Sonic is able to become Burning Furnace Sonic. This paired with the fact that Starved can potentially negate any damage done to Burning Furnace Sonic as well as counter any time related abilities from the Chaos Emeralds, who would win in a fight and/or race?

To me Furnace is an inferior model to every Metal Sonic Model right after Sonic Boom cause you gotta remember Furnace was made right before the events of Sonic boom and the only reason he got the W vs Sonic was cause he got him with a surprise attack while Starved distracted Sonic, not to mention Furnace is the only of the Metal Sonic series prone to overheating and shutting down as seen in the chase with Sonic.
That part where he fell behind wasn't him overheating, that was a trick to make Sonic think he had malfunctioned, Furnace would have been aware of the danger of overheating if he actually chased Sonic (though he would've been able to match Sonic's speed), so Furnace made sure that he would have a safe chance to catch Sonic, by catching him off guard.
