Tigahboy is legendary. When I started in this hobby (18 years ago or so) my reef tank had about 80 to 90% of corals that came from him. He lived about 8 minutes away from him and we would have coral meets really late at night. Tigahboy is an awesome guy. Very friendly and all around a very knowledgeable reefer. Awesome to see his work here.
I really love your guys's videos and because of you I actually started my own mixed reef tank about 8 months ago and it's doing so amazing because of you guys.
Thank you so much for all this info. Most of it I already know but there was also a ton of new info on stuff I was looking to find. I found it in this video. Cheers!
Well, I mean, 30 gallon tanks and above are fine for beginners. I can’t have a 40 gallon tank because I don’t have the space for one. Though, I got myself a 33 gallon tank for my very first saltwater tank.
FOWLR just stands for "fish only with live rock." If you introduce corals, then you have to take lighting and water parameters into account (like calcium and alkalinity). It's best to go into it with a plan on which you'll be setting up as your choices for equipment will likely be different between the two tank types and the fish you keep will also likely differ.

So cool. It was great of him to let me use his tanks. They are stunning!
Great video as always. Be nice to see a video of the different kinds of fish that can go together in each of these
I sure do appreciate you thank you for helping get my first reef tank going

Can you add macro algaes to a mixed reef or soft/lps

Can you have a Fowler tank or a tank that also has some various corals and macroalgae or is that just something you can’t do
