100% agree on the clip on’s Colin. I’m 54 and recently parted with a Royal Enfield continental in favour of a SV with high bars. As much as I love the look, riding position is king at a certain age. Keep up the good work.
G'day! Is there any chance you could share some details of the brackets you made to hold the SV650 S instrument cluster onto the red SV (with the ABM top yoke) at 6 minutes 48 seconds into the video?
Now, I don't know if this will work, but it's worth a try. It was quite a rudimentary bracket that bolted to the underside of the ABM yoke. photos.google.com/search/_tra_/photo/AF1QipPPnxwKSSbo57RcNaVi6qc5UgeSIho_5ESlpil5 photos.google.com/search/_tra_/photo/AF1QipM9-57DSUCl4CWDbehuNQak0hqAEByDBeIjEQTZ photos.google.com/search/_tra_/photo/AF1QipPkoD34-bhr_P1TT9vZlowafZQTKRTTYRjTL3El
Hi there. Much help with diagram. But i have one problem. i have a sv650 99 naked, after i changed the speedometer the bike wont start. Can you give some tips where to find the problem?
If it started before the clock change, then I would say to check your wiring. If everything else works ok, I would 1st look at the fuses to make sure one hasn't blown, then check to see if you have spark
I don't know why everyone goes for the resistor solution. You can buy an LED flasher unit. Get the right one for the bike and it is a plug and play solution. I replaced my indicator bulbs with LEDs and it hyperflashed. Replaced the flasher unit and all sorted without 4 resistors stuck in the wiring.
Each to their own. If we all did the same thing, life would be boring. I've used the flasher units before, but not the resistors , so thought I'd give it a try - the same with the speedometer, this is how we learn
I NEED HELP ! First i had connected both [+]wires (red and black) at the key of my moto so when i turn it on it should move the needle up and down and at the same time the light turnes on, but the settings on the speedo's menu resets every time i turn off the key... 2 days ago I changed it, the red wire is always attached to the battery [+]pole and only the the black wire is on the key so the speedo is always powered on and displaying all gears, speed and gas level but with no backround light (the backround light is the black wire which is powered only if the key is on) Everything was running perfectly but the other day the battery was dead meaning that the speedo shouldn't be always attached on the [+] pole but if it is not always attached the speedo menu settings resets! Did i do something wrong ?? Please I need your help [my English is not perfect, if you don't understand anything let me know]
I can't say I am a fan of the new dash, but I would love having a fuel meter.... I don't think the gen 2 has the option either. You are getting closer to finished, if that is a thing.
It's been a pain in the butt to be honest & have to admit, I'm not much of a fan either. I'll see how it goes as I've got ideas about putting an oil pressure & water temp gauge up there too
Put the same gauge on my 1972 CB500. What a pain in the ass that was. Waiting on a package of waterproof T tap connectors to finish up the wiring. Nice job figuring out the wiring. Not alot of CLEAR info on it out there.
I was given a project SV650 and it came with this same speedo not hooked up, thank you for your video it really helped!!

Здравствуйте. Скажите пожалуйста! Он показывает температуру двигателя?

Thanks for that. No, it's a case of suck it & see I think.
Ooo in bed.. n this popped up .! .😜
I don't know why you put music to this..... all it did is make it harder to hear you.
I did mess up on the editing, didn't realise until it was online & couldn't be bothered to re edit it to be honest
