What the SAN said is very correct, dont African govts have strategic think tanks and foresight?, the catalyst for the migrant crisis is the instability in Libya, you won't see any migrants going through Morocco or Algeria or Egypt

Please spread the message: All Nigerians stay at home! Don't be gold diggers. The grass is not greener on the other side of the fence.
    Please stay at home!

Stay at home and rot in silence abi?
Tell me, If the condition is fair in this country do you think anyone will be so eager to leave the country?
Do you even understand what femi falana is trying to point out?
That the government don't even care about the rights and privileges of citizens in the country how much more those in critical circumstance outside its border.

Nigeria is the biggest oil producer in Africa . But you are actually enslaving yourselves, wake up and develop your own country, the grass is not greener on the other side , you are an embarrassment as you get cheated by human smugglers and Libyans and people all over the world.
You must change your mentality and learn to do things for yourselves.

It was a dumb decision on the part of SA or Nigeria for that matter but is he sure voting yes or no with some stock of a pen in some far flung stage would have made a difference on the ground in Libya and SA was siding with the poor Libyans who were killed by their government hence voting for that no fly zone

I do not understand Gimba's call for 'compensation'. Compensation for what exactly? The money these migrants paid to human traffickers or what? I don't get it. Of course, I also do not get why people will sell their land, or sell and close their shops to pay human traffickers to go and scrub floors in Oyinbo land. The 5000 Euros that are reportedly being paid to traffickers for each migrant is more than enough to start/build a respectable small business almost anywhere in Nigeria.

Every Illegal migrant caught by the authorities of a country are sent back to their home country not kept as slaves in that country. that in itself is a crime and violation of human right. and victims of such act by law are compensated.

So why is Gimba seemingly calling for 'compensation' from the NIGERIAN government?! I have absolutely NO qualms with going after anything that resembles a working government in Libya, but if Gimba is calling for 'compensation' from the NIGERIAN government that's simply irrational.

I advice you watch again for clarification on that point.

    • @therealist2866

Leslie D. And I advise you do likewise - because between 4.37 and 4.59 of the clip, Gimba clearly appears to suggest that the Nigerian government set up a committee and thereafter pay compensation to returnees. That makes no sense.

We have lots human beings like this in every part of Nigeria but the failed state can not allow them to contribute meaningfully. What we see are the likes of Abasanjo, Rochas, Orjiuzo Kalu, Buhari, Atiku, T.A. Orji, Erufai etc. that are not supposed to come close to the Government in an organized settings. Big shame to Nigeria.

Now that they betrayed Gaddafi and Lybia now South Africa and Nigeria and other states are talking of one Africa trade and have missed the opportunity when Gaddafi offered gold backed currency
Now it's all the mess we are in of xenophobic attacks which the very two are facing forgetting the west is gonna come after them too
As they are the largest economies in Africa

Its a tall expectation from the Fulani government of Nigeria which is busy with Ethnic cleansing and Islamic Jihad to mind issues of Justice when it is an egregious violator.

Quite acceptable is the fact that Nigeria has not made a declaration of acceptance of the jurisdiction of African Union court on human rights. If that is so, what is going to be the possibility of getting compensation from SA Govt over the killings and destruction of property of Nigerians in SA? In which court are the victims going to seek compensation? The govt in one way or the other is responsible for our plight.

    • @thabisomaila8095

Which rubbish is this? Which Nigerian was killed by south African? And Nigerians don't own properties in SA, they rent them, so those so called burned properties which is just bullshit, they will be south African properties. Y'all need to just stay in your country
