I am a new subscriber and am really enjoying your videos. I am 64 years old and live in North Dakota. However, I was born and raised in Newport Beach and remember camping in Dana Point on the beach as a kid. Spent so many days at the Wedge and all around the NB pier. I love birdwatching, sailing videos and gardening and learning about my environment. A bit spooky how RUclips can show me such relevant vids, but I am grateful. Thanks for sharing!

I’m with you regarding the Mylar balloons. I grab so many out of the Santa Monica Bay. I appreciate you educating the viewers about these troublesome pieces of litter

Thank you. They are the trashiest of trash. Good for practicing Man Overboard drills..

Always surprised by how many things I find at Minneys that I didn't even know I needed!

So True! That winch handle is incredible, and I didn’t know I needed it. The heavy duty-ness of it better trims the sails

No permit needed to anchor at Lido.

For what it's worth, I have 50' of chain on my 26' sailboat.

Thank you, Benjamjn. You’re input is worth it's weight in gold. Thank you. I ended up going back and got 60ft of 5/16 HT chain. I've anchored a few times on it now on overnights to Catalina and very happy with it.

Its a pleasant enough video. Putting that beautiful gaff schooner as the thumbnail and then burying a 1 second clip of it is click baiting. Especially considering the majority of the video is of you as an in frame commentator. Your local knowledge and informative coverage of environmental issues would surely get you an audience without resorting to deceptive thumbnails.
