For all of whom are up in arms about me referring to this as aquatic.. fruits high in water content are typically referred to as ‘aquatic’. I’m not understanding why everyone is so mad about her opinion. My thing is we paid lots of money for this fragrance so really we shouldn’t have to wait for a while to let it sit to wear and give an impression. It shouldn’t have been sold before it sat. The way ppl are acting is as if we have to wait a long while before wearing and we shouldn’t have to do that. Also it’s her nose lol. If she smells an aquatic smell how can yall argue her down and tell her she doesn’t? Fragrance is subjective. Everyone says Ambrosia lasts really long on their skin but it doesn’t on mine. But it lasts long on my clothes. We are all composed of different dna. It’s just a review. Relax 😎

Immediate sub from me! It’s odd that some are pressed about your first impression considering you were incredibly clear about where your thoughts were coming from. And you also did not say anything close to negative/mean-spirited/rude/etc… Negative feedback over someone sharing their own experience ultimately prevents creators from actually sharing their real thoughts/feelings (which they would also get backlash for 🤦🏻♀️). And if anything, this made me interested in potentially purchasing this! I love AI’s content but originally wasn’t sure if this would be for me. But your review peaked my interest of this fragrance! Folks need to calm down. You didn't say anything disparaging about the fragrance. You were very diplomatic and fair. I received mine yesterday and completely understand what you were trying to say. I am not the biggest fan of pear in my fragrances so this one was very interesting to me. Can't say it was a LOVE AT FIRST SNIF mostly b/c of the opening. The opening was more fresh/bright than I had imagined it would be (for a fall fragrance) but it's also super sweet at the same time. I don't know if I would have used the word aquatic but more so JUICY. I smell a bit of a super juicy apple jolly rancher at first then about 20 mins later that subsides & the cozy rum, whipped cream & caramel comes out. Its not beast mode but it LASTS. I put this on at 9pm last night and still smelled it on my arm this am. I think in a few weeks it will get deeper and richer. I think it was produced faster than Ambrosia Imperial and needs to macerate more to really appreciate the blend. I mean this joker wasn't even supposed to ship out for another week and we already got our fragrances.

I appreciate your honesty, and it's completely valid to feel that way. Many fragrance reviewers buy fragrances as soon as they are released and immediately review them, which is acceptable. There is no requirement to wait for months to determine if you will like a fragrance. Personally, if I spend a considerable amount of money on a fragrance, I wouldn't wait for months to wear it. Considering the price, one should be able to enjoy it right away.

I think this review is a very honest one as well as love the fact that you gave praise on the fast shipping, box & bottle design and initial scent that you gathered from it. Idk too much about the fragrance community but I do know everybody is entitled to their own opinions as well as what smells unique or different to them. If the fragrance has to sit to fully take effect then that’s fine and if people get excited to spray before letting it sit, that’s fine too. You didn’t once say that it was something you would never wear which is a good thing in itself as well

This video was highly anticipated after your short and looks like one of the first reviews. I also appreciate your honesty. You were descriptive and didn’t use any negative language. I blind bought the fragrance and waiting for it in the mail. AI is the first person I’ve blind bought for in a longgg time so I think ppl are holding on to every word. Fragrance grows on us overtime , I’m so so excited to see more layering combos on how you would interpret your preferred scent profile. ❤️

I just got mine and couldn’t wait to get my nose on it. Pear is one of my favorite notes so I couldn’t WAIT. I personally didn’t get aquatic, but it wasn’t as deep of a pear as I was anticipating. More a fresh pear than a baked one where the fruit has that stewed, candied quality. I 100% did get Ambrosia Imperiale in the base, which for some reason comes off to me as more musky than gourmand - I feel like that’s what does keep it in perfume territory rather than smelling straight up like food. I’ve grown to love Ambrosia Imperiale and have gotten compliments every time I’ve worn it, so I can’t say I don’t like Amorous Intense but I was definitely expecting more of the caramel and fall fruits to come through than I got on initial spray and to stay longer than they did for me. Instead the pear and applesauce was there briefly and then seemed to go straight into the Ambrosia base.
I’m going to revisit mine later as well, but I’ll probably layer with LaBelle where I get that spiced deep pear vibe much stronger since that’s the note I was really hoping to have at the forefront.
Yes exactly ! When I said aquatic I merely meant fresh and watery, juicy. Some people think I meant salty and oceanic and I did not. Glad to hear you also had a similar experience with it ! It’ll be fire with La belle !
I layered it with La Belle yesterday and it was incredible! I’m still working with it.
@@HoneyBee-dv2we I will say that for Ambrosia Impériale I literally had people turning in their tracks to ask what I was wearing when I layered that. I'm sure Amorous Intense will be the same. It's not what I expected from the notes, but it's a beautiful scent that I'm definitely going to be working with

Baby I just layered ambrosia and amorous intense and it gave me life 😩🤞🏾but definitely tropical vibes all the way. I get zero gourmand vibes from amorous intense. Just sweet green hard candy. I was definitely looking forward to a richer, caramel, fluffy baked pear for fall. Especially with those cinnamon notes. I get no cinnamon. It is what it is. I enjoy it and I’ll be keeping it but I’ll probably wear it in the summertime 💕
The two together is definitely 😮💨 but yes! This one is giving me warm weather vibes for sure 💚

I received my bottle yesterday and I have the same reaction. I didn’t buy ambrosia imperial but I thought this was more my vibe and the discount code definitely helped in my decision. I do like it but I was expecting a more fall scent. I do like it so I’m not disappointed and I’ll let it sit like you suggested and see if that coffee and rum amp up a bit!!

I’m not going to lie to y’all, I received my bottle and I don’t like it 😢 but ambrosia wasn’t a LOVE for me…so I shouldn’t be surprised. The jolly rancher/apple thing is nauseating to me. It’s the mix of fruits with that strong musk that just don’t do it for me. I’m glad everyone is enjoying theirs tho!

This was a beautiful and very descriptive review. I absolutely understand what you meant when you said aquatic in the terms of watery. You spoke very eloquently and clearly. I think it’s absurd to tell someone that they need to let a $300 bottle of perfume sit before they can discuss what they “interpret” a scent to be and what they gather from the fragrance overall. If that is the case we would be waiting months for YT videos to roll out on this one- no? SB some of these comments are ignorant and belittling- let’s not do that.

I blind bought it and it was not what I expected! The initial spray is very pungent!! Im decluttering it!
@@alwaysevolve4923 it's not what I expected either, but I can see the potential. I'm going to let it sit for a little while & come back to it. It's overall a "nice" scent, but it's not the rich, creamy scent I envisioned. As it stands, it feels more like a Spring, than Fall scent, maybe it will deepen once it's had time to macerate? But, at this price point, it should be fully "developed" on arrival. I'm keeping my bottle though... and I look forward to her next project. It's a "like" for me right now, I'm hoping it becomes a love.

Beautiful initial wear test review. I've worn mine for 2 days and have similar thoughts! I prefer it to Ambrosia Imperiale but I liken that to enjoying pear/apple more than Banana as a note in general. I did add cafe oud last night and it gave it more body, too! Thumbnail fire!

Okay my perfume came! I love it! It is sexy! I get what Boho was expressing. It does make your mouth water. It is intoxicating. I don't have a huge collection..around 35..but can tell you, this is unique. On me, it dries down super sweet! However, most fruity or gourmand scent smell extra sweet on my skin.The fact I know it is going to get better makes me more excited!!
I got mine on the 21st also, LIC to Brooklyn. I looooveeee mine from first spritz with a green apple opening. I usually have to let most fragrances sit including Burberry Godess and Valentino Pink PP, however, this one came out the gate as a heavy hitter. I agree that if you are thinking about this one, get it now especially with the discount, you won't regret it, in my opinion.

Yes I let all my fragrances sit after the first initial spray. I have some fragrances that have set a year or longer. The only reason that is because I have tons of fragrances. And then to no matter how many you have you will have favorites and sometimes forget about others. Great review luv!

Hey girl hey....great video. I wish I had seen this b4 purchasing. I had fomo on this because I missed out on the Ambrosia Imperial. It restocked literally the next day after I purchased this one. Mine arrived today and I was so excited. I opened the box, the packaging is beautiful and the bottle is top tier. Honestly, the scent made me nauseous,
I hate to say. Mine is super strong. Sadly, I cannot return it because I opened it and tried it so they will not take it back. I was blindbuying based on notes, thinking it would be a yummy gourmand. If I was able to return this one, I would have purchased Ambrosia Imperial. But I'm stuck with it. Do you think if I let it sit a while, it will change hopefully? I'm so disappointed 😞

I kinda wish I ordered this one instead of ambrosia imperiale. To me ambrosia imperale was very polarizing. Definitely an evening or “going out” scent but I feel is too much for an every day, in the office type of wear. I’m holding onto it and hoping eventually I’ll reach for it more. Currently going to use it more as a fall/winter scent.
Really wish the fragrances came in different sizes also but agreed, the bottle is beautiful

Mines came yesterday afternoon. I decided to let it sit first before spraying it because sometimes fragrances don’t sit well on my skin when it’s brand new. Sometimes when I buy fragrances I don’t get what everyone else get when I spray a new perfume on the market that was just released to the extent I possibly end up with the first batch produced. It has caused me to send a perfume back to only end up rebuying it a year later lol. I just sprayed my Ambrosia Imperiale for that reason. I had it sitting for a few months before spraying it just the other day. 😂😂😂 I’m happy I waited. It seems like a all year around scent that I like.
I let mine sit also. Sprayed it out, let it sit, sprayed it again. Did this over the course of two days. At some point, we should be able to share our thoughts on a fragrance we just spent money on without having to wait for it to macerate and that’s what I did today 🥰
I agree. Also, I was struggling with putting dents in some of my other fragrances. I needed to wear up some of my other fragrances too before I start the shelf life clock on a new bottle. I might have to stop buying fragrances for a while because I’m not a influencer and my collection is getting really out of hand especially if I’m dropping almost 300 for multiple different bottles. I was layering at one point but you know how some fragrances are just better enjoyed as is. AI got the last of my coin because I’m over here doing the most. I have one bottle of perfume on the way and about 10 that’s unopened and like 11 I’m trying to use up mind you they are all heavy hitters. Then theres the body sprays thats opened and unopened Im trying to get through. I have to discipline myself from your recommendations because girl my collections is getting ridiculous. If you end up dropping a perfume I’m gonna be happy and crying because I’m gonna have to go buy that because I have to support. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂I cant even sell any of my unopened perfumes because I actually like them. I just haven’t gotten around to using them yet but I already sampled them which led to me buying them.

Hi. We received our fragrances around the same time. To me, it smells like a spicy beautiful pear. Funny, I also thought of pairing it with Ambrosia Imperiale then on a separate note try to pair it with Parfums de Marly's Safanade (once I purchase it). Man, first impressions it smells like flankers. Nothing wrong with that but say that next time. So we know what to think. The drydown has a similar base to the first one. Base Notes similar, so now this makes sense.
Watermelon is juicy and fresh and still very much considered aquatic in fragrances. Pear is definitely juicy and fresh so it’s not a far fetched description.

@@Ai_TheGreatno shade girl but I can’t help that I smell something watery and aquatic in this scent. Applesauce and pear pulp are def very watery notes to me. I still really love the fragrance and this is just how I perceive it
I appreciate your honesty and know it wasn’t your intent but this review is definitely going to scare some people off. There’s a part of me that’s screaming “hush girl, she’s black” lol
My bottle is being delivered today and i’ll form my own opinion. I hope the fragrance gets better for you over time.
At the end of the day I spoke highly of the fragrance. I cannot control how anybody else perceives my review 😂😂😂😂😂 all the people complaining clearly skipping the parts of me saying I can’t wait to see how it ages, I can smell the gourmand notes, etc. I can only speak on what I smell and my experience so whoever is upset is just going to have to take it up with God 😂

@@BohoGuru I received mine and I definitely agree with some of what you said in the video. I think it needs to sit a little. I also hate a lot of fragrances after first sprays(everything Kayali & Initio) and end up absolutely loving them so you can’t trust my first impressions lol

Well I had mines for months now and still DON’T LIKE IT!!!! Every time I have sprayed it my husband ALWAYS say something smell like CHEMICALS (gas) 😢 and I have lots of Niche as well as designer fragrances and known at work for smelling BOMB ! However every time I’ve worn this fragrance my co worker ask what is that??? 😅😅😅. I only worn it (3) times maybe. I just boxed it up in put it away! What a WASTE of money.

Why not review something she paid money for because it doesn’t align with others thoughts or opinions ? Most ppl review things when they drop early and then come back and give updated thoughts . The average consumer uses things as they buy them . I being one of them . Especially if you’re excited to try . Everyone smells things how they smell them and they run their channels how they run them . She still encouraged others to try it for themselves . One persons review isnt an end all be all .

Fragrances can smell different on everyone. She wasn't being negative towards the fragrance, she's just telling her experience with it. Plus, she did say that this fragrance also needs to sit and age a bit since it's pretty new and has probably not reach it's full strength. I appreciate her honesty.
