- Trash picking today was short but still ok for a bit of scrap e-waste.
Hard rubbish pickers are multiplying it seems, more & more every week but still enough junk out there for everyone to get a taste.
Keep scrapping & Have fun!

Perfectly good frypan, resell for $5.00. Cord value 10c. I hate cord cutters.
EwasteBen: ah bloody chord cutters.
Also EwasteBen: *proceeds to clip ever chord he can get his grubby paws on! 😂😂
Bobby Benfield, it is spelled “CORD”

That last pile, was a pile that kept giving and giving!!!!
You got 2 PC'S today and you seemed just as happy as if you had 8!!! Good job Mate!!!
Cheers!!!!
And Have a GREAT Day!!!!
can you do a video on processing all your wheelie bins of cable and processing all the stuff you find from scrapping it would be a really cool video to do
he's already done it look back at his videos
@@alexanderplatz3568 I know I want him to do another one
I'm working on a new series, "Scrap Sessions from Street Scrap"
It'll be random scrapping of the things I got including cleaning up wire and looking at thing to sell or keep.
@@eWasteBen ok sounds great I can't wait to see those videos.
I despise when people cut cords off stuff that most likely works (iron at 1 38)
Love the sounds of all the birds.
Greetings 🇺🇸Ben. U found some amazing treasures. I luv ur channel. PLEASE PLEASE don't stop making videos. B safe, healthy &blessed
Treasures indeed!
I wish my area in the USA did street rubbish like you have there.
You would never find that kind of stuff in the garbage in the USA...we recycle.
Jennifer Garfield I found a pc two weeks ago when I was on a gold/silver buy. I get scrap all the time, but I have to hunt for it.
And no the USA does not recycle...we are one of the worse in the world for 1st world country’s.
@@jennifergarfield2723 that is extremely not true
Those are evictions
Glad to see you at least grab the new cassette. I am a Music Collector and everytime I see you look over the cassettes, and cds my heart breaks a little. Not to many area here in the US that has clean up days. But when there is one. scrapers come from miles to hit it up.
what about the beds in the first stop that you made, weren't they recyclable? It looks like an episode of hourders. And cutting cords is really disturbing, Because it could work.
It might but you get far to much stuff if you try to collect it all , I can often furnish an entire four bedroom house in a good month, with good quality antiques ,not ikea crap, lol
Great video Ben, thanks
Your lucky if you make $10 for it all you can make more selling the stuff if it works
Yaaaaa. Love your videos. A fan from Montana
picked up two stools looked exactly the same a few months back sold em for 60 $ didn't even have them up for sale more then a week.
Very good.
That is a lot smarter. I would have grabbed all 3 and advertised them.
Great video.
sweet catches 👍👍👍😀👍👍👍
it is amazing that you have so much to pick thru...here in my town, there is nothing much at all....you do a great job of teaching us what to look for and then how to take apart....thanks Ben....when is your next vacay? also where to this time?
Wish we still had bulk waste - the thrill of discovery!!
16c for mains cords. 4c for curly cords... for the copper in them. That's all you get in Australia. At 22:58 Puradown Matilda Ultra down sleeping bag, approx. $350. Why did you throw that back Benny, could have been good to sell. At 24:50 multi-type battery charger, probably around $40!!
Love watching thrifting in action! Can’t wait for Melbourne to open up again. Looking for furniture myself to revamp 😊 stay safe buddy
How does this work? Why people leave their unused stuff outside? Im from Europe.
Your pile of cords on this street scrap was tremendous, good for the cash flow. Thanks Ben
Sorry about the typo errors but I'm using voice typing because of my disability
Nice collection of ewaste Ben.
Hello you are throwing something good while we in Morocco can not buy
Awsome video bro keep scrapping
It's all $$$$$$$$$$ don't just cut the cable
Haces muy mal en cortar el cable a los aparatos ya que hay personas que les hacen falta y tú a cortarse lo les jodes hay k pensar que hay mucha gente k no tiene casi de nada asin que tú mismo
Great video Ben that's a lot vintage PC stuff I'll keep it too keep up the good work Dude God Bless you and Family 🤠👍👍.
Nice to see the mahout doing it!!!
cord cutter....olo
28:24 "Thank you. Oh, don't know why I'm saying thank you" Literally pissed myself! Lolx10.
Circuit boards on the printers. Steel in the irons. More good scrap left than scrapped!
Too much left over plastic with those printers
OMFG!! that Elna sewing machine they sell for $400 upwards I'm glad you picked it up
it would be cool if you did a challenge or something regarding the amount of irons you find
i find myself counting them as you cut the cords
Might be something to have a bit of fun with over a few weeks.
My town used to do this but they stopped due to people making huge messes. If everyone was like you it would be better.
Unfortunately my local e waste dumps been closed due to the doors being broke which sucks cuz I get some nice stuff from there but seeing you get some good finds makes me feel a bit better
So many shoes right in the beginning! Wish I could have taken them all! 0:01
you must have a lot of feet
Please let us know how you went with the Omega watch that you found the other day.
If it was me there I would take everything that looked good and not cut the cords and I would of took all the cds dvds and tapes
Yay a pc!
"Continue to throw the pc across the van"
He never fixes, always tears down for the boards which he sells for about $10.
What an iodate who cuts the cords off everything that most probably still works.
wait come newcastle it worst what about new teen moving out home got no money buy stuff go look on street start out find no cable on anything what be $0.01 cent a cable. got super lucky find any item up here with cable most that pee me off logitech speakers system as can't buy control box arrrr me.
...he cares just about the fucking scrap metal :/
You never see stuff piled up like that in america. Here its a big mess.good haul dude
Always a pleasure to kick back and watch you get out there and do your bit for the environment and also some quick cash.
I have been thoroughly enjoying pulling trash apart in my shed and making some extra cash up here in The Illawarra (Wollongong).
Since watching you for the past couple of years I have learnt a lot and I believe by all the comments made by others all over the world you have help many people out with teaching as you go.
All the best and keep scrapping. I might put a video on one day with me just scrapping out some stuff.
Ps. How is the garage going and will you do another scrap Marathon with your garage?
Cheers
Woo hoo my favourite video love it
why you dont take the antennas for brass??
He don't know, inside electronics, always have gold . . .
No sense in leaving a little taste for others when you cut the cords off of everything? Most of those irons and radios, etc. probably still worked. That stuff sells on FB Marketplace, etc. Just saying???
What are you using the cable for?
I'm lucky to find cords and he passes on 2 fans with tons of copper in the motor.
You can't understand this idiot's logic.
It is poor in spirit.
I found the mice funny you got a whole infestation of mice🐭
Does that coffee stay there or dis you super glue it! Lol keep up the great videos. My kids mimic you" it's a p.c.!"
I think it is because they dont2have pot holes. I was always wondering how he could trust to put anything there and not have it spill everywhere
I've lost a couple at sharp corners, my next van will have cup holders :)
very first place you stopped, you left a orange/yellow utility power cord
9:41 there is usually a lead acid battery in the kid scooters
Reverend TFG yeah it is easy for us to be an armchair commander
Wish we had hard rubbish like over there some great stuff on the streets
He's only showing the good stuff. Most of it is sheer garbage. I do a little scrapping in Sydney across most parts and it is real junk. Just real rubbish.
amazing for such a short vid! 😊 hope you get down it fast and make profit!
enjoy your takeout!
@@LegenWaitforitDary-di9ik sim e verdade
Greetings from Belvidere, Illinois.
No More PCs being scrapped here! People donate them typically. Good to see you out there. Do a live stream for us!
What does he do with all those cords?
you cut the cords off of everything? those appliances could still work & be worth more....
This idiot is a scrapper, not a saver!
omg he make me mad , cut cut his miss a lot things
Nice job
Why do you never take the extension cords?
You have a good dumpster diving video
I sell DVD players for 5 a piece when they work your wasting stuff
Hi Ben like your vids ,you get a lot of ewaste and other good stuff ,Shame I don't live in Australia 🇦🇺 mate ,am in sunny old England lol,I scrap myself an I never see people putting out so much as you find everyday ,I get a lot of washing machines An microwaves an compressors lol
Great video as always 👍🐓🐓🐓🐓
Our Indian sardarji carrying wardrobe, ,,,,😍
You consistantly cut a 25c cord off $25-$100 items--you're killing me.
Vaccum has a good cooper eletric motor ...
Probably copper plated aluminum wire in the vacuum motor.
For those that don’t live in Melbourne. The reason that the scrappers roll out in force in these areas is that there are only a small handful of local council areas that have a “hard waste collection” the rest of Melbourne have adopted the “booked pickup” model. Councils save a fortune by only paying waste collection companies to collect booked pick ups vs picking up an entire suburb worth of trash, Not everyone will book 1pickup a year, but if the whole street did it then others just join in.
I live north east of Melb, my council saves on average $320,000 to $370,000 per year booked pick up vs free for all.
Also given the fact that most households would put out more than the allowed amount (2 cubic meters) and putting things out like paper, books, and cardboard that should be recycled through the normal bin system. A perfect example can be seen @04:10
Just remember that local government is NOT about serving the community, it is ALL about money.
...in case anyone cares 😎😎
Thanks for sharing your experience with us Ben
👍no front seat finds but plenty cords👍
I must say. I have learnt alot about so much from you. enjoy watching you scrap around the street and scrapping out things. TY for sharing your videos with us so we all can learn. : )
U know there is copper in the boxs that the cord is attached that plugs into the wall and some brass
Why did you cut the stereos
Making sure nobody can use anything by cutting cords off of everything. that's pretty damn sad to do that
No odys likely coming, before the trash man & besides if someone wants it ,they can patch on a spare cord in two seconds
ben that pc have good parts? motherboard? processor? graphics?
I haven't looked yet but yeah, I think it's a good one.
Do you scrap ac units in Melbourne
How do you find out when the hard rubbish days are on?
on facebook page: melbourne hard rubbish
Is this a special rubbish day? Or is it like this every week. I noticed there did not seem to be any food waste or perishables. In the States we periodically have "big dump" day. That's what this looks like.
Someone says that inside the vacuum cleaners there is a lot of copper
Copper in the motor, but does take a while to get out. Better to fix the more expensive vacuum cleaners and sell them.
Am I the only one who shakes their head each time Ben leaves keyboards on the ground, cuts the phone cords instead taking the connector bit with the gold pins, and does not check the printers for the printer cartridges.
It's because the things you mention there don't have much value, the gold pins on phones are worthless, costs more to recover than gold.
eWaste Ben you have mentioned before you don’t like messing with harsh chemicals, I have found that if you mix vinegar and hydrogen peroxide (peracetic acid) it will take care of the pins. It works even better if you use a crockpot on high heat. I could do a video on it if you would like. It also works on gold fingers and the like.
Why you have not any box for cables?
greetings from Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬 ... I want to grin to America and live how many necessary things I throw at such a stay for the rest of my life ..
This is Australia , not America.
Are you sure that the chains you left were not gold plated? Not solid gold, but still worth the money.
I think taking the rubber tub around to put all the stuff in could be quite efficient
I really enjoy watching your videos and look forward to many more... Great Work.
Its so sadly😢every people must be rich in world.everywhere everyone
He's only showing the good stuff, most of it is junk, garbage.
Hi Ben... I'm just interested what was that pc that you take? I mean the first one... It looks like a gaming pc with a good graphics card... You say 2 slot cards, but actualy it was only one big VideoCard.. I thing that is a nice configuration.. Check it before you scrap it out.. Sorry for my bad English... Im vrom faaar faaar away... Bulgaria. :)
why you only get electrical wire
From someone who is not from Australia,,, how does that work?
Do you just put your trash out on the pavement for random scrappers to have a look and on monday morning a garbagetruck comes and take the rest away?
Pra qer vc corta os cabo da coisa serve pra outra pessoa usar
Hey mate hope all is well any chance u could do a video on how to tell the difference between low grade medium grade and high grade boards and the same with cables thank you
I am curious how much that was worth vs time spent vs fuel spent
Any day scrapping is a good day isn't it Ben
Gosto muito dos seus vídeos
If I were in that country, I would be rich in a year.
Somebody's using my line... have fun. I say that instead of have a nice day because what if somebody doesn't want to have a nice one.
P.S. wave hi to Olivia Newton John if you see her, she lives near Melbourne
She's English and not Australian and doesn't live anywhere near Melbourne.
I've been scrapping since 1985, lmao when I go out basically anything that's got even 25% steel on it goes into the trailer, seems as though u do have a great amount to go through,u said once every six months it's like this for you?
i always wondered why everything at the junk yard is missing the cords. What do you use them for?
we sell them. $2.20 kg
I’m surprised that you don’t tie downs Rollie bin for all the wire and small bits you pick up. Might make the muck out a bit easier
No it takes up vaulable space
WNY Trash Trucks it would be the exact opposite. Strap down a bin against the passenger seat and all the wire, modems, cd roms, mice, and other small bits would go in easy enough leaving room for PCs, motors, chairs, or whatever else is larger.
Not a big bin, a trash/recycle one in the 60-90 gallon (250L-350L) size.
@@ursamines7643 you do know those are huge right and he has had a bin in there the one time you can barley even reach into use it.
Yes I know how big they are. Hell even a standard kitchen trash bin would be useful for all the cords he gets.
Where is this place sir
