[For Storytellers] This is a breakdown I like to do of films and stories in order to better understand the storytelling process/structure for self-education purposes. I invite readers/viewers to comments with such breakdown on other story videos/films so that we can all become better storytellers: Moral Lesson: When you help others, others will help you. Also, changing our perspective changes our actions. Ideal World: If everyone helps each other, there will be more joy in the world Premise/Logline: A dog on a boat protecting its owner's property (worms) against a heron undergoes a change of heart upon realizing that the heron is a mother to hungry children Motifs: Setting is evening (almost dark), thus the lamp in the boat. In this setting, catching fish is unlikely. Dog owner has had no luck catching anything in the film. The dog sees the heron and her babies and thus has a shift in perspective (unlike the dog owner). Hero Desire: To protect his owner's property Hero Need: Needs to have a shift in perspective to realize that his actions are not necessarily good Challenge/Conflicts: It is difficult to fish this late in the evening and a heron is stealing the worms, creating a situation in which the dog is forced to bark, the sound of which only makes catching fish even more unlikely Plan/Battle: Dog barks to scare off the heron, and fights for the worm silently when his barking has been prohibited Self-realization: Dog sees hungry heron children Change of heart: Dog offers worms to the heron it once fought passionately New Equilibrium: There is more joy in the world (heron mother is happy to see her children fed; children are happy to be fed; and the dog receives love from his owner when the heron returns the favor by bringing him fish)

So very touching and first inducing tears, which is at gradually replaced by grateful smile and a loving light radiating from our hearts. Thank you for this film, I hope you have more of them. They help to build up our Spirituality again, and reminding us to love life and every creature on and in it. Appreciate every blade of grass or a tiny wildflower pushing its way through the crack by a wall, showing that seeds can take root in all kinds of places. Let us each plant seeds of love and visualize a great big wave of this love, plus wisdom, kindness and peace flowing over our entire world. Add a little water and may our gardens thrive with wonderful "flowers"!

Good film, but bad credit ending. to keep, memmorie of the last shot of the film, remove the final drawing, at the end credits list, just keep the doggy, icon, as the very last thing after the scroll down credits. this way, we will remember the 3D animated image, and not the 2D sketch. the 3D image is better to be remembered. the rest of the credit list is fine. just the last bottom sketch. its too much because its alot of distraction.
