I think allot of people in here come with a predetermined judgement of what Rubix should say and have more of a political/gatekeeping purpose instead of taking the time to understand what he actually means. His perspective and pointers are not an attack on other views guys. Lets clarify his explanation together. 1. For him musicality is about seeing a ‘picture’ to the music. What he means by picture is a scenario. So he asks himself what story is this music telling me. Is it sad, angry or happy? If this song was played in a movie (moving picture) what would the scene be about. So he is not saying that he is making shapes to the music but that he is finding story context through his imagination inspired by the music. 2. He values the controlling of the body over skillless dissecting of the music. Basically hes saying just doing beatkills without having a physical skill through which the music is expressed attached to it makes no sense to him. So he adviced to get more ability instead of just doing anything to the ‘beatkills’ 3. When he said the he needs to know how to move first as supposed to the bounce, it is him referring to his perspective of musicality which is creating narrative and stories with the music. I believe these words are not aimed toward the idea of ‘Not having to use foundation’ but is him saying if i bounce before i actually feel the context of the music i go on auto pilot and am not really telling the musics story. We can ofcourse all have our opinions and our perspectives on what we value within the dance and culture. Let’s not let that cloud our eyes and ears to what others are saying tho because allot of people are twisting his words.❤ hope this helps other viewers 🙌🏽
bounce is feeling and bounce is already inside u dont need to practice bounce its a feeling u just do, but when you move you practice what u move like , bounce is a feeling of a rhythm and movement is technique so he is right
No, he is wrong and so are you. If you only care about animation dance then sure, but if you care about being a better Hip Hop dancer then the Bounce, Rock, and Groove are the foundations, and that's something you must practice to get better at. I've seen your videos and that's why your animation dance is decent but your Hip Hop is wack.
"I don't need to know how to bounce first, I need to know how to move first". This just proves that he doesn't respect the Hip Hop foundations and it shows in his dance. All he cares about is killing the beat, doing tricks, and dancing with "pictures". There's more to musicality than dissecting a beat. The rhythm comes first, something which he hardly utilises, and you could get better at that with the Bounce, Rock and Groove.
@@Kaito2.2 Until 2015?? lol Who won Fusion Concept 2022? And they went to the finals with Tighteyex back in 2019 (Tighteyex won luckily). Still in 2024 theyre dancing great. Put respect on Les Twins.

Les Twins call themselves Hip Hop Dancers, and I believe they have had a huge contribution to the Hip Hop Dance Community. THEY ARE THE VERY REASON I STARTED TO DANCE LIKE MANY OTHERS. So I will never disrespect them. Now let’s look at Summer Dance Forever, I’m asking you: How far did they go against L‘eto and Paradox? That took place in 2016. I said they were the best until 2015, after that many people started winning against them because people started to get stronger and stronger every year. And me saying that is not disrespectful, it’s a fact. If we are simply talking Hip Hop Battles, dancers who beat them fair and square include: -Paradox -L‘eto -Alex the Cage -Majid And the List goes on.
