Great ❗I like Khiz's red hat . He may also like to start wearing a bow tie 🎀, would make him look really COOL , like an old school gentleman . 😍. Well as far as airport security is concerned , these days , every airport has their own do's and don'ts . In the old days , every time the Capt. made a smooth landing , esp. after flying through a turbulent sector , there would be spontaneous clapping and cheering by the passengers . This video happily reminded me of that great tradition .❤.

That is pretty cool. Just checked Google Flights and direct Avianca flight to Quito is 6 hours and 20 minutes. Overall direct flights are $60 more expensive than indirect flights

Same thing happened to me at EZE. Bought water after security and got that bottle taken away at the gate before boarding Delta flight to Atlanta.

Yea, that was a first for us. Glad we didn’t purchase a lot of drinks

This just popped up on my feed. Interesting I had wondered about Avianca basic ted eyes. But taking your water and liquids otger places ive never heard of that. Even your toiletries under 100 ml?

Good question. In Bogota, they checked for any food or drink and removed it from the carryon or personal items. And this happened at the bridge once they have checked your boarding passes. The lady looked and our kids and had mercy on us but we saw them removing all snacks and drinks. They were not worried about toiletries

I'm tempted to try Frontier to Costa Rica or Guatemala. Panama sounds interesting

When I have flown from Latin America security always take all liquids coming to USA

We just got back from Dubai and during a “technical stop” in Athens, we went through full security check, and all liquids thrown out too.

Question, how often does this happen where you dont pay for seats but sit together? I have from IAH-SAL-GUA
Second question is the a personal item bag that your wife is carrying? It looks huge

We have flown on 8 individual flights with Avianca and mostly we are together or near each other. And the personal item I was carrying is under the limit for Avianca, you can check it here www.avianca.com/en/information-and-help/baggage/

Hi, what were the bags and backpacks you and your fam used? Avianca gives a bit more space than other airlines, so i'd like to check out what you used! Thanks

Sorry for a delayed response. We only traveled using personal items which was under 14” x 18” x 10”. Our bags included a Bellroy backpack (Bellroy Transit Workpack (a.co/d/jaHnc8L), Ciao luggage (search Ciao 15" Luggage Hardside Under Seat Bag Black on Walmart). We were warned by the crew that anything with wheels may not be allowed as personal item so we carried it instead of rolling it in when we boarded. Other backpacks included Ciao 15" Luggage Hardside Under Seat Bag Black)
For full requirements, you can check out www.avianca.com/en/information-and-help/baggage/
      Hope to is helps

how strict are they on the size of personal item for those who book XS fare?

    • @KhizEesa
      @KhizEesa  Год назад

Excellent question. At check in (JFK) the Avianca staff was very helpful and wanted us to close our roller even though it fits under the seat but the extended handled made it seem bigger. Through out all the flights, no one made us check the size but that initial warning helped. All in all, we would recommend staying within the measurements of the bag to avoid any issues

@KhizEesa so with any size backback i assume less scrutiny
