That country is not to be reduced to Edith Piaf (who was an immense singer, no doubt), as there are sooooo many great ones : L'Impératrice, Phoenix, Alain Souchon, Sébastien Tellier, Clara Luciani, Manu (from the band Dolly), Ibrahim Maalouf, Christophe Chassol, Malik Djoudi... and so many more.

C'est une des raisons qui font que leurs chansons sont rarement reprises, car difficiles à aborder.
