    It would be great if you could show how to install there camera with the cable going through the wall... How large hole does it need, is the pigtail behind the camera long enough?

    • @ReolinkCameras
      @ReolinkCameras  Год назад

      It is a little hard to say how large the hole, but the camera cable length is 70cm, you could try it.

      @@ReolinkCameras Deal reolink WTF are you thinking ?????????
      There is no instructions on what to do with the wiring which has a thick dongle attached to it. Are we to drill a 2nd hole in the wall for that ? why does it noe snake through the hole in the mounting plate ? but alas it cannot as the hole in the plastic hanging bar is way too small to route it through there - Your videos just show the cable hanging as if there is some magical fairy dust to connect it to....

    Would like some clarity here. I want to buy a Poe Dual camera flood light. It is not clear if this is a stand alone device, do i need extra cables etc. I am so sick of buying something that doesnt work without "extras'. How can something be extra if its essential for it to work at all? Please answer concisely. If i buy a Poe Dual camera with Floodlight. what do i need "'""extra""" to mke it work as intended???

      Hi, thanks for reaching out.
      Reolink Floodlight PoE/WiFi, Reolink Duo 2 PoE/WiFi, and Reolink Duo Floodlight PoE/WiFi are all standalone devices.
      Reolink Duo Floodlight PoE/WiFi is a floodlight camera that combines the dual-lens camera and the floodlight together. You don't need to install them separately.
      Reolink Duo 2 PoE/WiFi is a dual-lens camera built with spotlights (not floodlights).
      Reolink Floodlight PoE/WiFi is a motion-activated floodlight that can work independently or with several Reolink cameras including the Duo 2 PoE/WiFi and the Duo Floodlight PoE/WiFi. You can set up the linkage between this floodlight and a camera via the Reolink app/client/NVR. No extra cable is needed for the linkage. When the linked camera detects motion, the floodlight will be triggered. Please note that this floodlight contains a built-in siren that will not be triggered when it's working independently.

    Hello about how long would my RLC 810a camera last if it’s exposed to rain a lot. I mounted it in a place that’s not covered by anything but I’m hesitant on moving it because I’m scared it’ll get damaged due to the rain. Should I move it to a place where it won’t get wet or can I leave it where it’s at?

      Operating temperature: -10°C~+55°C (14°F~131°F)
      Operating humidity: 10% ~ 90%
      Waterproof: IP66
      If the camera is within this condition and makes sure the network port and the reset hole are well protected, then the camera will be ok.

    Are you updating the nvr to work with this camera? It is a great camera, but I cannot make it to work with the RLN8 -410.

    • @ReolinkCameras
      @ReolinkCameras  2 года назад

      Hi Daniel,
      Sorry to tell you that the latest version RLN8 -410 can not work with the Duo 2 POE.
      The Duo 2 POE is a very new machine, and the hardware is also very fresh, which needs the latest NVR to be compatible.
      So upgrading the firmware cannot let the RLN8 -410 support this new camera.

      @@ReolinkCameras does the duo 2 poe camera now work with the RLN8-410 NVR now? Asking again since my bundle suggestion today has two Duo 2 poe cameras and that NVR. Surely the bundle isn’t including an NVR that is incompatible.

      @ReolinkCameras  Год назад

      @@acVeezy Hi Adam, the NVR with the new hardware version N7MB01, N5MB01, or N6MB01 is compatible with the Duo 2 PoE. NVRs with the hardware version H3MB18, N3MB01, or N2MB02 support max. 6MP live view. And other old versions of the RLN8-410 NVR are not compatible.

    • @ReolinkCameras
      @ReolinkCameras  Год назад +1

      Hi, do you mean if you don't have a PoE switch, can it be directly connected to the router?
      You can directly connect the camera to the router with an Ethernet cable to get network connection. But you will need to power it with the DC power adapter.

      So to be able to connect directly to your internet box, you’ll need to buy a POE switch !
      Reolink could have think to the people like us that don’t want any Wifi, but still want to connect directly the camera to the internet box, without buying any poe switch, providing a simple dc cable !
