Lyrics: Mylly
Aamukasteen alle tulla minäkin voin
Harvoin nähtykään, kuka kulkee kavioin
Kerran istuva on aitaan nojaten
Siinä vaiti seuraa myllymatkaan kadoten
Eikä etene päivän ruska ruumenista
Seisovat kärryt käyntiajan aikana, ja
Niitä minä yksin pelkään myllylle viedä
Sillä yksi on kadonnut ja toinen on tiellä
Halkovat hallassa kulkua veräjälle vastaani:
Ne päivällä painuivat
Haihtuvat hyhmässä jälkeni kärryjeni kannoille:
Ne päivällä painuivat
Riippuu aidan riuku pientareella
Kunnes maatuu tahtoon kaskimaan
Liikkuu hiipuvainen kuin sateella
Hiipii, kaihtaa jokaista askeltaan
Luona myllyn
Halkovat hallassa kulkua veräjälle vastaani:
Ne päivällä painuivat
Haihtuvat hyhmässä jälkeni kärryjeni kannoille:
Ne päivällä painuivat
Riippuu aidan riuku pientareella
Kunnes maatuu tahtoon kaskimaan
Liikkuu hiipuvainen kuin sateella
Hiipii, kaihtaa jokaista askeltaan
Riippuu aidan riuku pientareella
Kunnes maatuu tahtoon kaskimaan
Liikkuu hiipuvainen kuin sateella
Hiipii, kaihtaa jokaista askeltaan
Luona myllyn

Sorry guys, Finnish linguist here. You're wrong in your language theories. Finnish always has the emphasis on the first syllable of the word. KII-tos, MYlly, SAUna, VIIna, TERva, HAUta and so on. And the mylly is not pronounced "my-lie", the y sound present there is not found in the english language. If you remember the Finnish lesson you had before coming to Tuska, it's the same y sound as in the word "hyvä/hyvää".
BUT you're right in your story theory! If you look at the description of the music video they explain that there's an old Finnish folk tale about a man who takes the grain from his farm to the local mill to be made into flour, and the devil tempts him along his way.
Well, I´m a mexican guy who whatch a video on english about a Finnish folk metal band, I love korpiklaani, of course I can´t undestand nothing in their music but I love it!
Sorry if I wrote something bad but, english is my "second" language
Essi mä sua👍❤️
I gotta say, I agree with you about the drummer. He constantly looks like he's having the time of his life, and that's how it should be.
They released a video of just the drummer for the entire song it’s awesome
Becouse Mylly is place where yuo make flour from grain, that's why it is on the drums
I always feel like I'm under some sort of a spell after listening to Korpiklaani
Thanks for the video Pedro and Antonio. Was"nt expecting the New Dark tranquility album to be so good that you described it but it was a lot better. My favourite album right now. 😎
Same with me.
there was flour in the video because they were playing in the mill. Mylly = Mill
Я, как русский, очень ценю Kirpiklaani, уж слишком сильно близка русской душе их музыка!!!
Y is like the u in the French word "tu". Mylly = Mill.
Yeah. Somebody smart might have guessed that you get flour out of barley in a MILL :)
@@Bhaalspawn84 flour
is it or they just keep getting better by the day...its like a good wine the older the better
or scotch lets not be picky
i defo pronounced mylly mas que fazer sou tuga puro e bruto lol
Gotta say, I'm not a big fan of Korpiklaani, anymore. Grew out of it. This song doesn't change that. But their other new song, called "Leväluhta", is kinda neat.
React majestica ghost of marley
naa Finnish doesnt have any "speedbumps" :D, thats Swedish, in Finnish the focus is at the beginning of the word and it goes downhill from there like word "mylly" the focus is on on first letters "MYlly"
Please react to rasied fist!

"It's kind of a democracy."
Subtle low blow to your son for not having voting rights! Stop the count! By that I mean, keep on counting. Whatever suits more.
Exactly! 😁
Finnish people here. Lol
I am from Vasa Finland but i only understand a little bit Finnish. I speak Swedish. Finnish is a quite hard language.
Last time I was in "Vasa" I visited K-Rauta. Imagine my surprise when they finally found someone who could... or maybe more like; would speak in Finnish - the dude was black and spoke with more dialect than I did. Perfect Finnish!
But yeah it is a hard language for many reasons, it goes the other way too. Finnish is so different from English for example, it would take years of proper training/studying to get rid of the accent.
Not trying to be a dick, but you won't get by with just Swedish in Finland either... maybe if you stick to the west coast.
Funny, because you have a Finnish speaking majority there, but of course, most of them speak fluent Swedish anyways, so you can manage speaking Swedish only. In fact, in Vaasa only 25 percent speak Swedish as their mother tongue. On the other hand, the towns next to Vaasa are heavily Swedish speaking.
@@erkkinho I can speak a little bit. I can manage it but not hard things.
@@jimmyforsell6721 Metal is pretty hard, though. Haha. Sorry, a lousy joke.
Why do u speak portuguese? Great vídeo!
Because I am
Finnish is very monotone and each letter in a word is _always_ pronounced the same way. The only exception to that is when a word has "ng" in it, it's pronounced the same way as in English, such as in the word "king". When there are two of the same letter after each other, you pronounce them both, making it twice as long as if there was just one letter.
Finnish may be super difficult in terms of grammar, but pronunciation is super simple. What I said in the comment above is literally all you need to know about pronouncing Finnish. Learn how to pronounce a word -> those letters are pronounced exactly the same way in all the other words.
Pretty similar to Serbian or other South Slavic languages. 30 letters and every letter is always pronounced the same way, every time. Probably the most straightforward concept in terms of pronunciation. When I was reading lyrics to this song, I figured they are pronouncing them the same way I would.
Hey guys .first
Hey guys, second.
I don't like this video I've got celiac disease. He took grain to the mill.
The pronunciation is mylly. Like a Ü sound that you don't have in English which makes it difficult to explain it in text. Just put it in Google Translate and see for yourself. Your son nailed the pronunciation of "kiitos" more than you did with "mylly". Rubbing it in for your pseudo-democracy!
