Yeah I have been hearing the ai is the same. And I even heard some say the dupe glitch is still there.. hope that isn’t true but I also heard the grass weight has been changed so the high-end stuff weighs a lot. Can’t wait to find out for myself.

Huh actually, I believe there's an option "to toggle off" the helmet or mask. Basically, you keep the defensive stats of your helmet or mask, but you can see your character's face all the time.
It's lookin' like magic has been balanced, Soul Ray was not doing chunks of damage to the Dirty Colossus. In the original game magic was obscenely powerful, in the trailer it looks quite redefined.
Except that now, the magic is balanced. Look the small damage that Soul Ray did to Dirty Colossus here, while I just got kilometers away from him spamming soul ray and killing him in one minute hahahaha

They never missed a shot either and their weapon damage is quite high, HP is only low because of Soul Form so maybe that's what gives it the feeling he is a currently a lower Soul Level. The damage was quite low against the boss regardless, even in the primal game you only needed the minimum requirement for Soul Ray to be broken.
After I played the Shadow of the Colossus Remake I already had full trust in any upcoming title of Bluepoint. This clip here indicates the same amount of detail and work went into creating this remake. Awesome! Rapidly becoming one of my favorite developers

For anyone who have noticed the enemy falling by himself in the hole ; I think it has been said that they wanted to keep the most famous glitches and errors from the original game. Plus they wouldn't have let that pass unintentionnaly in an advertising video.

I know you won't see my suggestion about this but I'm gonna give it a shot. at 10:30 dirty colossus sets on fire right after the hit. if you can make it like, fire spreads slowly and in real-time, it would be perfect. amazing job.
Stone doesn't need raytracing, they'd need to do it on the water which would probably explode all our ps5. Though, raytracing on my armor would be really cool too.

That flame lurker fight looks epic. Bluepoint are masters of their craft. Shadows of Collossus was amazing and this looks like it'll follow that awesomeness.

@@splinter360 It's a remake, but it's by Bluepoint, and their whole thing is making extremely faithful remakes. They're the ones who made the PS4 SoTC remake, if you remember that one, which even preserved the original slightly wonky controls if you wanted them, as well as Agro ignoring you sometimes. Besides, having watched the video, the gameplay looks nearly 1-1. They even left the AI untouched. It's literally just a massive graphical remake, so I don't see what you're complaining about.
Does bluepoint hate modeling projectiles or something? You can barely make out the range on animations like the Mindflayer's blast attack. It's really hard to take this talk of not changing the core gameplay when you're clearly showing things that will affect players differently compared to the original game.
I'm so glad I'll be able to replay this gem of a game. I remember seeing trailers for the original and thinking, "whoa, the atmosphere, music, and combat is so different, I hope I can get a copy." When I went to my local best buy, they just ended up just giving me the physical deluxe edition at the time because it wasn't selling well, which included the slip case, art book, and original soundtrack. After finishing the game, I couldn't stop listening to the music. You can just tell so much passion was being put in this project from the creator, Hidetaka Miyazaki, the composer, Shunsuke Kida, and the rest of the team. As crazy as their development history was, with multiple instances of cancellation looming over their heads and lying about how difficult the game was going to be, and dealing with time constraints, I'm super glad this game was able to come out the way it did.
I mean it’s really a graphically enhanced remake and a bunch of games that aren’t exclusive to Ps5 because they are also playable on PS4 but the future looks bright

@@kingdomkey2262 it had it's moments, that's for sure, especially when multiple of those Giant Ticks with all the Depraved Ones, or the 3 Giant Depraved Ones and all the other flying insects. Having around 6-8 of these enemies so close by in this areas causes the game to stutter a bit sometimes, especially with added effects like fire or certain spells/miracles.
I can't wait to spend 5 hours in the character creator getting it just right then wear a helmet the entire game...

I love how the Lock-On Reticle is the same as Bloodborne, For me that's the gold standard reticle for Souls games. Even Dark Souls 3 and Sekiro uses.

So glad they are using the original code for the combat. That was the only thing stopping me from pre ordering as I figured the combat wasnt going to feel like a true souls game so this is great news.

For anyone who have noticed the enemy falling by himself in the hole ; I think it has been said that they wanted to keep the most famous glitches and errors from the original game. Plus they wouldn't have let that pass unintentionnaly in an advertising video.

@plaZeHD I mean... Apply Occam's Razor here for a moment. What's more likely? That a notoriously buggy game has rough AI or they intentionally designed enemies to fall into a pit to sell the "lore".

I know you won't see my suggestion about this but I'm gonna give it a shot. at 10:30 dirty colossus sets on fire right after the hit. if you can make it like, fire spreads slowly and in real-time, it would be perfect. amazing job.

@@chocolatesoymilk1072 no. At the beginning of the game, a single hit can get your health bar 1/3 down. Bosses? 1/3 to 1/2 of your health bar down in a single hit.
That flame lurker fight looks epic. Bluepoint are masters of their craft. Shadows of Collossus was amazing and this looks like it'll follow that awesomeness.

I've played every other Souls-borne game except for the OG, Demon's Souls. Can't wait to try it out.
It's pretty awesome. I feel like the levels are more challenging than the Bosses but the game is amazing overall still.
This is a remake. Not a remaster. So your not really playing the OG.
If you really want to see the original, you can play it with an emulator. It's called RPCS3. Demon's Souls has worked great on it for a long time.

@@splinter360 It's a remake, but it's by Bluepoint, and their whole thing is making extremely faithful remakes. They're the ones who made the PS4 SoTC remake, if you remember that one, which even preserved the original slightly wonky controls if you wanted them, as well as Agro ignoring you sometimes.
Besides, having watched the video, the gameplay looks nearly 1-1. They even left the AI untouched. It's literally just a massive graphical remake, so I don't see what you're complaining about.

Does bluepoint hate modeling projectiles or something? You can barely make out the range on animations like the Mindflayer's blast attack. It's really hard to take this talk of not changing the core gameplay when you're clearly showing things that will affect players differently compared to the original game.

I'm so glad I'll be able to replay this gem of a game. I remember seeing trailers for the original and thinking, "whoa, the atmosphere, music, and combat is so different, I hope I can get a copy." When I went to my local best buy, they just ended up just giving me the physical deluxe edition at the time because it wasn't selling well, which included the slip case, art book, and original soundtrack. After finishing the game, I couldn't stop listening to the music. You can just tell so much passion was being put in this project from the creator, Hidetaka Miyazaki, the composer, Shunsuke Kida, and the rest of the team. As crazy as their development history was, with multiple instances of cancellation looming over their heads and lying about how difficult the game was going to be, and dealing with time constraints, I'm super glad this game was able to come out the way it did.

@@SkyrimGuy5000 2021 lineup is insane. GT7, Ratchet and Clank, Horizon 2, GOW Ragnarok, FF16. Even if one of those gets delayed, it's still the best year 1 of a PlayStation console.

@@kingdomkey2262 it had it's moments, that's for sure, especially when multiple of those Giant Ticks with all the Depraved Ones, or the 3 Giant Depraved Ones and all the other flying insects. Having around 6-8 of these enemies so close by in this areas causes the game to stutter a bit sometimes, especially with added effects like fire or certain spells/miracles.
Why nobody is talking about incredible sound design in the game 😱😱😱
