Great tip on the welding sometimes the grinder heat up the metal to so I do that in stages to .cracking job

Younger days I had a standard fiesta 1.4 same shape as xr2 it had a twin choke webber 0f xr2 it was as quick as 1.6 1,4 xr2 nearly

Hobnob built for dunking, Colin you will get slated for what your doing as alot will have an opion without no idea of fabrication, I use to do this in the 80s, you crack on m8, fiestaTT is coming on a treat 👍

Coming along now, it will need an BIVA though, the TT is monocoque so by removing the roof etc you’ve altered it so now comes under ‘radical altered vehicle’ which requires BIVA

Cut the chassis or monocoque and it has to have an Iva and renaming as you can’t use other names as they are under copyright

The proportions don't look wrong at all, it will make people scratch there head but they won't know why, unless the engine is running. Also if you cut and shorten or alter the chassis / floor plan you will have problems with registering it with DVLA, ( trust me some thing I well and truly understand) modification that deviates from the manufacturer specification of the Audi TT chassis / floor plan will mean you wont be able to use the original Audi Vin / registration number or registration documents, it will be subject to a full registration application and will end up on a Q plate. The way your working and planning on the vehicle its just a Audi TT re-bodied, it will almost defiantly require IVA test (VOSA) as a modified re-bodied vehicle. The only thing I see wrong at this point is where you shorten the rear end of the TT, that can be interpreted as a chassis / floor plan change . love the work your going. Good look at Cadwell if I managed to get there I'll tap your shoulder.
Already raced at Cadwell as it was on the weekend I think you’re a week behind buddy understand everything you said and we understand all this when the vehicle is ready then vosa will tell us exactly what we need to do . Thanks for watching

Hi guys i like wot u doing just a quick question i want to do the same with a old cortina and a sierra is ther things that i sud considee
Consider how much time and effort and patience you need to put into this and you need to really know what you’re doing with fabrication I would never plan on doing this as a DIY job as it needs to be built back to a safe spec . So if you don’t know anything about fabrication Make sure you get one on side with you
