Great review, stating the bad and the good. Most reviews today are people swooning and never saying anything negative for fear of backlash or being cut-off by sponsors or suppliers. Thank you.
Bought one of these a year ago in 9.3x62. Came from the factory with a damaged bore. The rifling cutting tool went out of control and cut gouges the full length of all four grooves. There’s no way this barrel would have sealed the gases behind the bullet. Sent it back for warranty work to replace the barrel. It’s been a year and I still don’t have the rifle back. Someone at the repair shop said that this damage is well within factory specs. So much for Anschutz making accurate barrels. If I ever get it back it will be the last Anschutz I ever buy.
Many thanks , I’ve used those Norma tipstrike nosler bullet in my encore in 22-250 a bag off the bonnet of the truck I had a three shot group of 1/2 inch center too center 55 grn , I use the cases for reloading afterwards 40 quid for 20 not cheap but quality cases and ammo

temperature accuracy is extraordinary
How come that you can see the lines from the target paper in the bullet holes?? Just done with a marker pen???
I have his much older brother the 1422 in .22 with double trigger.
I was told later on it was a rare find.
Just got lucky i guess 😂
Superb, must be fantastic.
Anschutz builds excellent very traditional rifles. Why the sharpie bullet holes on your target?
Is that a two-position safety?
that accurcy is pretty bad for a 3k dollar gun though
its probably not the gun
