I was at this show, sitting pretty much directly to the left of the person filming this. They must have been pretty damn sneaky because they made it clear about 8 million times to everyone going in that if they saw you filming/taking pictures, you would be kicked out immediately and the footage would be confiscated. In any case, I'm super thrilled that this was recorded because now I can relive that night over and over again. Thanks!

Tool fans have waited many years for a dvd release, often teased but never pleased. This video does more than fix. Respect to the person that took the effort to record this and upload for true fans' pleasure.
For real! I've had this video in my favorites for over a decade, and love coming back to listen to it, as it truly is the best quality video/audio of a live performance for sure.
I love how they added more instrumentals as their tours kept going to keep it fresh without a new album. Fucking love these guys and seeing them live is even better!
They seem to me like the only band that let the listener have their own unique experience of the music. How the hell do you even start to do something like that? Their songs are insane stories that take you on one hell of a journey, from chaos to calmness, fantasy to reality. I've never heard any other music that does what they do to me, just incredible.
I'm a big Pink Floyd fan and I think they did that as well and I'm pretty sure that Tool was majorly influenced by Pink Floyd as when I put Pink Floyd into my Pandora or other music finding software that gives you similar artists, I always get TOOL and I love them too!!! :) Watching the concerts and hearing their music, I see where they get the influence...just sayin'

Thanks to this video I was able to relive it. I love tool, I love Adam, Maynard, Danny and Justin and I love how important putting on a good show is to them. This is a fan filming with a shitty camera and it's better than any TV proshot I've seen of any band ever. Long live Tool even if it's not Maynard's priority anymore.

Insane man. I’ve been obsessed with this jam ever since this Uncasville set. I’d been listening to it for years. Then I saw Tool on the fear inoculum tour. It blew me away when they played this. I can’t believe they had this melody from so many years ago.
I suppose it's against Tool's ethics or something, but i would've loved to see a full pro-shot DVD concert back in their prime. There is one from Reading 93' i believe, but that's just Sober alone. A full show with all their best songs, maybe a pro-shot of Roskilde 2001. To me that concert had Maynard's best vocal performance for that period, and it featured good stuff from the newly released Lateralus.

This has to be one of the best audience recorded bootlegs I've have ever heard, it's a video version on the order of one of the famous Mike Millard recordings.

Love this thanks for posting. It is natural that Maynard's wonderful voice hasn't held up, nothing we can do about that. Weird saw Soundgarden last year and CHris Cornellsounds remarkably good.

When they played this in San Diego. How they played it differently from the album made me feel so peaceful and inspiring. I was sober as a bird and remains one of my favorite moments ever going to a concert to see my favorite band.

You sound kind of angry dude, it was an opinion. Listen to what you like. Eddie, for example, is directly under the spotlight, and Pearl Jam is dope. Either way though like I said it was my opinion, so relax hommie. As long as you enjoy the music that you listen to then that's all that matters.

There was one change back in 1995. Their original bassist Paul left the band and they added Justin. Paul had already written the basslines for a many of the songs on Aenima (Stinkfist, Eulogy, H. Pushit, Aenema) before he left and Justin finished writing the basslines for the rest of the songs.

I saw them when I was 15(12 years ago) and I can honestly say it was the best concert experience ever! They are such a fantastic band.
That tends to happen when you make sounds with your own body and not mechanical instruments. You gotta admire him for what he's achieved.
