How many facilities do you think are worth it?
I already have 3 and I was wondering if building another one (instead of building a bridge for example) won't actually lose me more resources on the long run

Don't build too many facilities, a maximum of 3 facilities only. Use the rest of the energy to build bridges so you don't run out of time.
