The moment you died at 1:20:29 ... the only thing i can think of, because it looked like you managed to drop down in time, is that somebody else got picked up and slammed into you and you couldn't hear a bang or anything because of desync. Maybe that was it. Other than that, can't think of anything. Especially since the "random" deaths got fixed.
Another addition: How about the DOM 3 being the Probe but you only collect data if dropped down. That could be like the probe. And then you can still drop down right after, but you also have the upload going at the same time so you can still drop down quickly, but not collect new data right after. Another idea would be to make the DOMs rockets on top usable. Like a system where you can aim the platform towards the tornado and fire them into it to collect data. Balancing could be that instead of like a probe, with the rockets you don't get as much data over time, but a small burst of data as it gets caught by the tornado / updraft. Wouldn't be able to get as much data per "shot" compared to a probe, but still be able to use while dropped down. With the limitation of only having the 2 rockets that are visible on the vehicles model atm. So 2 bursts of data relatively instant, then you're out of rockets.
This game is definitely not anywhere near optimized if you need a recommended RTX 4000 series card to run it smoothly with those old PS3 graphics 😂. Don't say it's because it's a simulation because I know weaker graphics cards that can run Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 much better and have to process much more data than this mess. You do realize that you can make more sales on this game if you had it optimized before release.
The funny thing is that it's not a weather simulation that's running on our pc's. They are pre-simulated scenarios so really it's just a physics sim of which there isn't even much in the game. A few trees and vehicles that get picked up by a single tornado. No idea why it's so unoptimised
