Thank you for all this information. Thinking of applying for the fall intake, would really appreciate a video about the how to pass the interview.

You have to remember going rural means less students, more money and time. Seoul is very easy to get to even from "remote" places. Plus Seoul is a trap. You'll get comfortable and not go anyway met too many people getting caught in that trap.

Yeah but other vidoes on this channel have shown that in rural areas you might be assigned to more than one school

yes usually two schools, sometimes three. Yet still have less students and work load. More compensation. More relaxed work and living.

Thnak you for this video it was so helpful! I'm planning on applying for the fall intake and since I have less than a year of teaching experience I have a feeling I will be placed in a rural province so I'm wondering how realistic is it to go into seoul on the weekends when you are living more rural? Did you go to seoul often when you were living in your first town?

Yes, luckily Gyeonggi-do surrounds the outside of Seoul so I was nearer than some other provinces. I went to Seoul every weekend as it was only a 2 hour journey and I could stay with friends. However, if you get placed in the south, it might not be an “every weekend” type of visit. But plenty of people make trips to Seoul all the time. Best of luck with your application :)

Where can I find these group chats? I’m not familiar with the name that you mentioned and it sounds like such a huge help for me 😅
Also a video about interview tips would be SUPER helpful 😊

Hi! I am currently in a Hagwon in Cheongju and was wanting to apply for the June intake. Any advice for someone already in Korea to apply for Seoul? I have not applied through Epik so I was wanting to try it. Thank You!

The EPIK website contains the rather vague
    "Be mentally and physically healthy"
What does this mean from a practical standpoint? Do you need to prepare a lot of medical documents? Is it something that gets a lot of questions in the interview phase? What would be a dealbreaker in regards to mental or physical health?
    Thanks a bunch

@@seoul_mates Hi thanks for replying. I watched the video but I still have some questions. I have heard that if you have any kind of ongoing mental health issue your application will not be considered even if you are stable. Is this true? Do you have the right not to disclose that information? I imagine the topic would come up sooner or later especially if you are taking medication for the condition.
