BNM should explain co-payment features for medical insurance policies, says Dzulkefly

Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) should clarify the implementation of co-payment requirements for medical and health insurance and takaful (MHIT) products to reassure consumers, says Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad.
He told the Dewan Rakyat on Wednesday (July 17).

Here it's coming, co-pays, the scourge of private healthcare insurance... The feature is an escape clause for insurance company to not pay our medical bills even when we are insured

Why insurance companies and private hospitals not transparent on the price/rate. If you pay cash 40 to 50% less. But using your medical card, the price go high like rocket. Informed PIAM few years ago. Nothing works in malaysia. If the medical card is reasonable governtment hospital can cut down their expenditure.

Setuju.. lepastu, kite yang pengguna pulak yang kena bayar lebih . Sebab pihak insurans kata, kenaikkan kadar caj hospital.. padahal, hospital yang caj mahal bila claimed dengan insurans.. cash murah je..

Cash kena bayar rm140
Bila tengok bil GL medical card, rm240.... Rm100 beza😅
