The ephemeral aspect of the rangoli-it may last only one day, or it may be replaced each day, or be done during a holiday season-which makes it all the more valued for the work involved, its as a symbol of respect for an occasion, and as a reminder of the fleeting nature of time as time is fleeting and we should use it wisely. Rangoli patterns are also believed to bring good luck to the home.
with everything that's been happening lately I've felt so overwhelmed- got this as a random recommendated video and have just sat here for 15 minutes with no other thoughts than following you make this piece of art, just mesmerising work. Thank you so much for sharing it!
@@hundragant Very true... Call it my laziness, but the first thought before making rangolis is that it is perishable. The colors will go into the bin and the effort will last for hardly a week. Have to muster a lot of courage to make a rangoli, it's not even sustainable.
@@riachaddha2691 I just figure that the items they use are very cheap and easy to come by. So it's very simple for them to toss it aside. I doubt it has an impact on the world as it's just colored sand ^^
@@hundragant Well, I hope they are all using natural colours instead of chemical ones, but you never know. That's what sustainability is, going with your passion without harming anybody or anything. I am not denying that rangolis are extremely gorgeous and culturally significant but everyone must be considerate!
@@rooneyjagobooI saw someone answer this question before, and they said part of the art form is its impermanence so they don't seal it or anything. and that they do reuse the sand when possible.
This is absolutely stunning! Do you plan your designs ahead of time, or do you make it up as you go along? Either was you have a brilliant sense of color and composition. Thank you for sharing your talent through RUclips. God bless 💜

Those colors are so bright, vibrant, and saturated!
When you clean up, do you toss it all away or do you try to save what you can?
I don't really think saving is possible tbh. They would want to use fresh colors for next time too
@@riachaddha2691 I agree. Saving it seems improbable. Maybe it's just wishful thinking lol

Beautiful... Enough said
The rangoli looks really beautiful. And using common objects found at home makes the process even more amazing. 🙂
Étonnant!
Cute
I am curious
How do you clean this (up). A hand vacuum?
Do you ever re-use the sand?
Is it sand or something else?
Rangoli is made using materials like rice powder, brick powder, chalk powder, flower petals and coloured sand.
@@lafilmscene2456so anyway to make it permanent , ie seal it ?
Thanks if you have any ideas
