  • Crisis of Conscience (2002): All Israelis are obliged to complete military service, but growing numbers of the soldiers are refusing to guard the Israeli settlements in the Gaza strip and West Bank.
    Subscribe to Journeyman here: ruclips.net/user/subscription_c...
    Despite their illegal status under international law, Israel has allocated $500 million to protecting settlements. "It is corrupting us, making the extreme and fundamentalist sides of our society stronger," alleges elite paratrooper Yaniv Ipzcovitz. Like 475 others, he is refusing to serve in the occupied territories. Almost as many soldiers guard the Israeli Marganit settlement in the Gaza strip as there are inhabitants. Off duty, many of these soldiers believe they should not be there at all. An intriguing look at the growing moderate movement in Israel.

      @@pantomime3896 Jews and Samaritans are the indigenous people of the land of Judea and Samaria/Israel.
      A Jew "occupying" Judea and Samaria is like a Sioux "occupying" Dakota or Mni Sota.
      It's called diaspora for a reason.
      If you dig in the land you find Jewish artifacts/history - not Arab and certainly not "Palestinian".
      Colonizers don't dig up the history of their own people in the land they're colonizing - that's not how it works.
      That's why it's called Jewish-Roman wars - not Palestinian-Roman wars.
      The Arch of Titus in Rome (which you can still visit today) depicts Jewish captives/slaves and booty such as the Menorah from the Jewish Temple.
      On the shields/standards of the Romans is written in Latin: "Legis Judaeorum" (the law of the Jews - the Torah), "Candelabrorem Judaeorum" (the Menorah of the Jews) and "Sacra Judaeorum" (the Holy of the Jews).
      en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewish%E2%80%93Roman_wars
      en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arch_of_Titus
      The coins the Romans minted also show a Jewish prisoner and have the inscription "Judaea Capta", not "Palaestina Capta". Jewish slaves (not Palestinian) built the Colosseum in Rome.
      en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judaea_Capta_coinage
      Not a word about the "Palestinians" - Romans under emperor Hadrian renamed the land of Israel and Judea Province to (Syria-) Palaestina as a punishment for the Jews after the Jewish-Roman wars.
      You can't change history or falsify it. No matter how hard you try with your historic revisionism.
      Tens of thousands of "Palestinians" came to the land from all over the Ottoman Empire when Zionists resettled their ancient homeland, for economic reasons, looking for jobs - people like Bosnian, Circassian, Armenian, Greek, Turk, Kurd, Iraqis, Lebanese, Syrians, Jordanians, Egyptians, Saudis, Yemenis, Algerians, Moroccan, Indians, Afghans and many more.
      Who are the Palestinians by a Hamas leader
      ruclips.net/video/lq3Vd50SZNM/видео.html
      “There is no such country as Palestine. ‘Palestine’ is a term the Zionists invented.”
      - Awni Abd al-Hadi, Secretary of the Arab Higher Committee to the British Peel Commission, 1937
      "The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a
      Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle
      against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality
      today there is no difference between Jordanians,
      Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and
      tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of
      a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand
      that we posit the existence of a distinct 'Palestinian
      people' to oppose Zionism."
      "For tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state
      with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa.
      While as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa,
      Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem. However, the moment we
      reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait even
      a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan."
      -PLO executive committee member Zahir Muhsein, in a 1977
      interview with the Dutch newspaper Trouw.
      Here are some of the most common family names among the "Palestinians":
      Some common Palestinian names:
      Masri = from Egypt-Hamas member of Parliament, Mushir al-Masri (the word "masri" means "the egyptian" in arabic).
      Khamis= Bahrain. "Salem Hanna Khamis"
      Al-Faruqi= Mosul, Iraq
      Al-Araj = Morocco, a member of the Saadi Dynasty "Hussein al-Araj"
      Al Lubnani = the Lebanese
      Al-Mughrabi = the Moroccan (Maghreb" - meaning "West" in Arabic, and usually referring to North Africa or specifically to Morocco)
      Al-Djazair = the Algerian
      Al-Yamani = the Yemeni "Issam Al Yamani"
      Aal-Afghani = the Afghan
      Al-Hindi = the Indian "Amin al-Hindi"
      Iraqi = from Iraq.
      Halabi = from Aleppo, Syria
      El Baghdadi = from Baghdad Iraq.
      Tarabulsi= Tarabulus-Tripoli, Lebanon.
      Hourani = Houran Syria.
      Al-Husayni = Saudi Arabia.
      Saudi = Saudi Arabia.
      Metzarwah= Egypt.
      Barda---wil = "Salah Bardawil" HAMAS legislator in Gaza; Egypt, Bardawil Lake area.
      Nashashibi = Syria.
      Bushnak = Bosnia
      Zoabi= from Iraq: "Haneen Zoabi".
      Turki = Turkey "Daud Turki"
      Al-Kurd = Kurdistan.
      Haddadins = YEMEN descended from Ghassanid Christian Arabs.
      Arab Abu-Kishk = Egypt.(Bedouins)
      Arab al shakirat = Egypt (Bedouins)
      Arab al zabidat = Egypt (Bedouins)
      Arab al aramsha = Egypt (Bedouins)
      Abu Sitta = In Arabic' Abu means father and sitta means six. Translated it actually means father of six. (The Abu Sitta family primarily received this name because around the year 1700, a well known knight of the large Al-Tarabeen tribe always had six slaves (i.e. fedawyah, bodyguards), 3 on each side, with him. They were with him wherever he went, day or night. Hence the name "ABU SITTA." = Egypt (Bedouins) "Salman Abu Sitta ".)
      Even Yasser Arafat, the most famous "Palestinian" and leader of the P.L.O terrorist organization, was not native to Judea. He called himself a "Palestinian refugee" but spoke Arabic with an Egyptian accent. He was born in 1929 Cairo, Egypt. He served in the Egyptian army, studied in the University of Cairo, and lived in Cairo until 1956! His full name was Mohammed Abdel Rahman Abdel Raouf Arafat al-Qudwa al-Husseini.
      "Al-Qudwa" tribe origin?

    Truly admire the moral stance those soldiers were taking despite the potential negative consequences to them and their loved ones. Their belief in their convictions overrides personal gain and for that they are to be admired. It's a shame the moderate voices from that council were not listened to because we are now in 2023 and things still getting worse! What they said was commonsense but unfortunately the extremists with their hateful agenda wanting to completely erase Palestinians seem to be winning the day......for now. It's sad to see they forgot what it's like to be oppressed after what happened to Jewish people at the hands of Hitjer and in many other places before that.
    The young soldier who said settlers would cause issues within Israel may yet be proved right.

      MusicAusUS - "Israel receives a trillion dollars in aid from the U.S.?!"😅😅 Do you even know how much a trillion dollars is?! Israel receives $3.5 billion a year from the U.S., which is a far cry from a trillion dollars. Moreover, there are strings attached to the money that Israel receives from the U.S. That is, the U.S. gets most of its money back from Israel, since Israel is required to use the financial aid that it receives from the U.S. to purchase American made weapons, and that in itself helps keep many Americans employed in the defense industry. Additionally, Israel makes many improvements to the American made weapons that it purchases, and they share those improvements with the U.S. military, and that ultimately saves the U.S. government billions of dollars in research and development. Finally, Israel serves as the 'canary in the coal mine' for American made weapons. That is, Israel tests American made weapons in actual combat scenarios long before American military personnel ever use those same weapons in an actual combat scenario, and the information that Israel passes on to the Pentagon about the performance of those weapons ineluctably saves the lives of many American military personnel.

    Some religious Jews, confused by Zionist propaganda quote Biblical verses that state that G-d gave the children of Israel the Holy Land. They overlook, unfortunately, those verses which say that He took it away due to our sins. They further ignore those prophecies which explicitly describe the last exile's conclusion as a Divine, not a human process.
    **It is worth clarifying terms here. Most of the Jews of today claim to be descendants of Prophet Jacob (also known in the Qur'aan as Isra'il)" and hence consider themselves to be the Children of Israel. However, most of the Jews who came to Palestine prior to 1948, since 1948, and until now are of European Ashkenazi origin and have no blood-line going back to Palestine. They are actually descendants of a Turkic people who converted en masse to Judaism in the 10th century. As a result, most of the world's Jews today cannot ethnically be related to Moses, David, Solomon, etc. (That distinction would go to the people who have been living in the land continuously since those times: the Palestinians in particular and the Syro-Lebanese in general which include the Muslims, Christians, and yes the Arab Jews too.)

      New DNA testing ( Which is refuted but with no evidence) shows without a doubt that most of the Ashkenazi Jewish population come from Italy around 2000/1800 years ago. With the fall of the empire, many Romans changed their religion to Jewish and due to its collapse, mass movement around Europe. Then following expulsions from England, Spain etc, many moved to what is now Eastern Europe ( Poland, Ukraine etc). So as has often been shown, there is no connection to the actual land of Isreal except in their heads and re-written history

      The Khazar theory has been debunked multiple times by dozens of Genetic studies and also by linguists, archaeologist and historians and is invoked mostly by Anti-Semites who want to delegigitimize the Jews ties to the land.
      All three main Jewish diaspora groups are genetically close to each other (closer than to their host countries populations) and have common roots from the Levante.
      It's called diaspora for a reason. They're all Jews and indigenous to the land of Israel.
      If anyone came as imperial colonialists it was the Arabs with the Islamic conquest.
      Syrian-Lebanese are indigenous to Lebanon and Syria... Jews are from Judea/Israel. That's basic history.

    July 24/23 The Portuguese parliament has overwhelmingly voted in favor of a resolution recognizing Nakba Day or “Day of Catastrophe,” when Israel was created at the expense of the forced expulsion of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from their homeland.
    The parliament also praised the Palestinian struggle to obtain the right to self-determination.
    At the same time, the Portuguese resolution condemned the Israeli regime’s expansionist and annexation policies, emphasizing that the practices are in blatant violation of international laws.
    It also called on the Portuguese government to take a clear position in defending the right of the Palestinian people as guaranteed by international conventions.
    The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomed the decision of the Portuguese parliament.
    It described it as a true expression of the southern European country’s solidarity with the plight of Palestinians, which has been going on for 75 years.

      Every nation controls its own borders - if you're bordering a nation with a hostile regime that wants to wipe you out (not even debatable) of course you close your borders. Any nation would do that and rightfully so.
      Nobody ever complains about the Egyptian border of Gaza, it's only the Jews fault.

    • @Long-Ball-Larry
      @Long-Ball-Larry 9 месяцев назад +1

      It's not stolen land.
      Jews and Samaritans are the indigenous people of the land of Judea and Samaria/Israel.
      It's called diaspora for a reason.
      It's as much stolen as a Sioux could steal land in Dakota or Mni Sota.
      If you dig in the land you find Jewish artifacts/history - not Arab and certainly not "Palestinian".
      Colonizers don't dig up the history of their own people in the land they're colonizing - that's not how it works.
      Arabs came as imperial colonizers to the land.
      Who are the Palestinians by a Hamas leader
      ruclips.net/video/lq3Vd50SZNM/видео.html
      Tens of thousands of "Palestinians" came to the land from all over the Ottoman Empire when Zionists resettled their ancient homeland, for economic reasons, looking for jobs - people like Bosnian, Circassian, Armenian, Greek, Turk, Kurd, Iraqis, Lebanese, Syrians, Jordanians, Egyptians, Saudis, Yemenis, Algerians, Moroccan, Indians, Afghans and many more.
      Khamis= Bahrain. "Salem Hanna Khamis"
      Al-Faruqi= Mosul, Iraq
      Al-Araj = Morocco, a member of the Saadi Dynasty "Hussein al-Araj"
      Al Lubnani = the Lebanese
      Al-Mughrabi = the Moroccan (Maghreb" - meaning "West" in Arabic, and usually referring to North Africa or specifically to Morocco)
      Al-Djazair = the Algerian
      Al-Yamani = the Yemeni "Issam Al Yamani"
      Aal-Afghani = the Afghan
      Al-Hindi = the Indian "Amin al-Hindi"
      Iraqi = from Iraq.
      Halabi = from Aleppo, Syria
      El Baghdadi = from Baghdad Iraq.
      Tarabulsi= Tarabulus-Tripoli, Lebanon.
      Hourani = Houran Syria.
      Al-Husayni = Saudi Arabia.
      Saudi = Saudi Arabia.
      Metzarwah= Egypt.
      Barda---wil = "Salah Bardawil" HAMAS legislator in Gaza; Egypt, Bardawil Lake area.
      Nashashibi = Syria.
      Bushnak = Bosnia
      Zoabi= from Iraq: "Haneen Zoabi".
      Turki = Turkey "Daud Turki"

      Because (Trans-) Jordan is 75% of mandatory Palestine - which went exclusively to the Arabs (even though parts of it were part of ancient Israel, the Jews ancestral homeland) - and the majority of its population are "Palestinians".
      Arabs have 22 countries, 15 outside the Arabian peninsular, together the size of the USA - Jews have one country in their ancestral homeland, the size of New Jersey (0.5% of the Arab world) which they still share with a 20% Arab population who have all citizens right - while virtually no Jews live in Arab Muslim lands anymore.
      The Majority of Israeli Jews are descendants of the 800.000 Mizrahim/Sephardim that got kicked out of Arab Muslim lands.
      No Jews live in Gaza btw. since 2005 controlled by Hamas who wants to wipe Israel out and no Jews live in areas controlled by the PA either (who basically still want the same).

      Without them you'd not even have a bible.
      It's a book written exclusively by Jews, for Jews and about the Jews living in their homeland.
      Many native believe systems of indigenous people all over the world call themselves chosen. And I'm pretty sure they all have/had their factions as well.
      So why do you care what they call themselves? Why the obsession?
      Do you even know what chosen means? It's not a privilege but an obligation.
      Btw, Christianity in it's infancy was nothing but a Jewish faction/sect exclusively Jewish.
      Feel free to join the Jewish people - then you'll might figure what chosen actually means.
