did you end up learning it after 7 years?
This was how my mom always called me when I was far from home. Worked every single time. Now, at 37, I decided I need to finally figure it out. Thanks. I got a bit of a whistling sound out, but nothing more. Will keep practicing.

I have always said that I didn't have a talent... but when I was 8 there was a boy in my neighborhood that could whistle Extremely Loud at the time I first heard it and then I began to start practicing and I did nail it and I can tell you I have literally been at football games stadiums I've been asked not to whistle in Jim's because this enclosed but out of the thousands of people I have met by far friends and family and people at the stadiums warlight give us a warning.... perfected that Craft when I was eight and it's only gotten louder and louder and louder and longer and longer and longer... I can whistle in one breath with the highest pitch that if you're in a facility just around me outside you will see people just stop and grab their ears... now that may not be a talent to anyone but trust me it's an incredible feeling when everybody turns and looks at you and says did you just do that... hell yeah !!!!

Oh. People keep saying to press hard against the folded tongue, but my tongue is thin and long, so lightly pressing it while moving the tongue forward in back is what gave me the whistle and frequency control. I guess it really is genetics, but I think everyone can do this if they are willing to pass out a few times.

My uncles tried to teach me how and I've spent some time looking up how to do this on google. No one ever mentioned to push your tongue against your fingers and keep it flexed. I was doing everything right EXCEPT for that. THANK YOU

Thanks man, always wanted to do this. Everyone says to push the tongue upwards, and that never worked for me. After 1 hour of practicing this way, I am able to do it with all possible finger combinations. Just need to perfect using the thumb :D

These comments are the funniest EVER! I can (already) whistle "regularly" both inbound and outbound. I can also do the "warble" type whistle. The two finger or four finger or "OK" version is a little tricky. I can get a whistle - but it's not loud and I'm blowing hard. I guess I will practice more. Sincerely … LIGHT HEADED AND WET FINGERED AND WET SCREENED.

I just wanted to read a book, but instead of reading i'm watching this video. Trying, but.....................well, someone said teleporting is easier? Yes, indeed..i've been in 1821 y twice and also in 966 watching the Baptism of Poland. But i think i will come back learning how to whistle with fingers and i will use this skill in the 1345 y.

Difficult to say. I think it is between the fingers and bottom lip. If u don't tuck the bottom lip in enough it doesn't work....
Just watched a half dozen videos with no luck. I actually got some sound out after watching this. Gotta practice, but i just spit all over my laptop.

practice practice practice is the key once you follow these easy steps. I can do it extremely loud without using my fingers but find it hard to explain how

Have you learned the way to whistle by pinching your lower lip together? I can't do it they way you do, but the way I do it is very loud as well, it's ear piercing. Great video.

Don't know if this is louder but I prefer without fingers because what if they're dirty as hell?

Mark Clark well hey I got it down now and can definitely confirm whistling with fingers is definitely louder than fingerless whistle, and with fingers is MUCH easier to learn! But no fingers is so much cleaner but it's good to know both.
