The Barbarity which you mentioned in the trailer was exactly why Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and then his son whos the movie is based on Chatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj established the Maratha Empire. The Turkic Origin Islamic Sultanates in India were notorious for ruthlessly killing and torturing rhe civillian population, deliberately destroying temples, kidnapping women for selling/trading them as slaves in the middle east.
Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was know for his policies and warned his army strickly to not hurt women and children in their campaigns of resistance and even protect them in most cases, even the women belonging to the other empires. It was a remarkable noble trait that he had for a king back in the mediaeval period.

6:26 RRR's torture was at very minimal level, this king, chhatrapati sambhaji maharaj was tortured at jesus level, bro and until the last breath he didn't convert to islam, and it never happened in the whole Indian history,it happened only when mughal arrived many of sikh, rajpoots, and marathas were forced to convert and were tortured only to know that, there loyalty to the religion or country's people is more then the fear of death itself, for example a hot iron rods were plugged into the eyes of chhatrapati sambhaji maharaj,he was thrown to the lion,so he could be eaten alive, but instead he teared the mouth of lion, imagine how much strength he beared, his hands were cut,he was collected in pieces by his people, but if you go the other side no hindu leader or sikh leader followed this malpractices, they had the deep understanding of individual rights, they never forced there ideology unlike abrahmic religions,so yeah it was one sided,if you go through history, some Britishers also has written about it,that chhatrapati shivaji maharaj his father made strict rules for the soldiers to not touch the women, children and parents of the enemies, that's what made him god like😊
And also he(shivaji maharaj) was the only hindu king of his time to be rebellious against the atrocities of mughals,as he was greatly influenced by the rule of lord ram and Krishna, the ideal man,and ideal rulers,i know i might sound biased to you but its the truth,India had a history of violence, but didn't have the history of convertion or forcing some ideology, everyone had there rights, even if you call it a monarchy,it was democratic country even beofore the word democracy was invented, only until the mughal invasion, still i never saw single story of any ideal mughal ruler who lived for people.

I implore you to read the whole thing my friend.
Firstly Chartapathi Shambhaji Maharaj and his honorable father are Gods to us. If not for them I would have been a muslim by now. I'm from South of India (Bharat).
Let me tell you something my friend with no derogatory intentions I promise. I fairly know how much you know & don't know given your background also bcuz I've been following you since a year (Fairly). Indians (Bharathiyas) are not known for barbarism in war given the 1000s of years of history. It's also one of very reasons why we've been colonized by the Islamic invasions of the middle east & Europe. Yes we've lost primarily because of internal conflicts between kingdoms & empires but that happened during the chaos that already existed between the Hindu & Islamic Kingdom that the brits for example took advantage of who came later.
There was no slavery ever in India (Bharat) until the Middle Eastern Raider & Invaders spread inside this geography.
Leave the caste system aside that you keep on constantly hearing in the news. It's a lie that has been repeated a thousand times thanks to the british who gave a constitutional structure to it & classified people so that we can exploit our own & also thanks to our current political parties who are continuing it for votes. Divide & Rule Policy basically. What we had was divisions of skill sets (professions) in the form of family lineages & Guru's lineages that we carried in our surnames to identify someone. people were always allowed to switch professions & it was not birth based as the lies you hear.
Read Dhamrapal's book 'A Beautiful Tree' which has first hand British surveys that were conducted across the length & breath of Bharat's Educational Intuitions (Gurkuls) prior to the Charter Act of 1813 & later british acts which clearly shows how well everybody was educated regardless of their professional & financial backgrounds. Ppl don't read these days & scoop up propaganda that's the problem. Also Megathanese (Greek), Fahyan and Huan Tsang (Chinese) made it very clear about how well everybody was treated in their travel vlogs
Coming back to warfare in Bharat. Sure there were Dishonourable Hindu Kings in History who were dictatorial by breaking the formal rules of governance (Read Arthashatra) but slavery, graping women & children to force them into our religion was alien to us. Instead we had debates between Buddhists, Hindus, Sikhs & Jains for 1000s of years. It's called "Shastrarth".
Finally warfare. War before Arabic & Turkish Raiders & Invaders (Way before Europeans) in Bharat were civilized in the most possible sense.
    (1) Civilians cannot be attacked, women & children especially.
    (2) Wars must be fought in barren lands far away from the urban areas.
    (3) Rules of engagement existed. You can't fight after sunset
    (4) Even after losing the defeated king is either banished or made into his subordinate & made to pay a fair amount of tax to the King who won OR the winning kings appoint someone according to the people's choice from the defeated kingdom.
This is all recorded. not my words. You just need to read the right books, not the Marxist history that's full of lies whose nonsense is still taught in our mainstream school books unfortunately. Actual historians have written enough through multidimensional research. Indian & a few Foreign.
You can surely cherry pick a few Kings or Instances where they were dictatorial but the vast majority of the 1000s of years of Bharat's history is a testament for civilized & morally just Kings & Emperors who were highly educated scholars & poets at the same time.
No wonder Bharat had 24% of the world's GDP until the 17th century & more than 30% in 1st century AD (Read Angus Madison's World's Economic History In A Millennial Perspective report for data) all possible because in spite of 70 to 80 kingdoms fighting for power all over the civilization did negligible collateral damage or disturbed trade & business.
Hope you read the whole thing. Namaskaram 🙏🏾

Maddock is only producing this film. And i think you would have loved Stree 2 too if you had watched the movie with a large theatrical Audience and taken its real Experience in the theater. Its ok you found it a little less fun then Stree 1 because after coming to OTT, it got a little mediocre.❤
