For me who used to be terrified of launches, this is great for trying them out. I doesn't put a lot of emphasis on the launch like avengers flight force. The reason I was terrified of launches was the only to launches coasters I have been on were Rita at Alton towers and velocity at flimingo land, which are mainly launch focused. This how ever after the launch slows down at the top giving you a break before the main ride. It sort of feels like getting forceably shoved but natural and long. It's nothing to worry about and is a great first coaster. 100% recommend.
Rita feels a pretty rough launch compared with this! I rode Hyperspace Mountain and Avengers (re-themed Rockin Roller Coaster) at DLP last week, and, while the on-ride theming is a bit lacking, the launches of these Disney rides are terrific.
Hot take, I liked Mission 2 a lot. Mission 2 was supposed to be a continuation of from the earth to the moon. Once the Baltimore gun club had made it to the moon, they had set their sights further out to reach supernovas. That’s why you get shot from lower in the cannon. Now I don’t mind the Star Wars retheme, as an overlay. While the trains don’t have the bullet shape anymore, they certainly fit the Jules Verne theme more than the Star Wars theme. I think they should not just bring back the moon (or maybe even have both missions side by side, all it takes is a little bit of lighting trickery) but update the moon. New effects, keep the trains and the soundtrack. But I do hope they change back to something else from hyperspace mountain.
you know a supernova is when a star explode ? It doesnt make sense why would they go watch stars exploding while theres exo planets to visit.. so no mission 2's plot doesnt make any sense this building was made for 1 overlay... theres moon reference everywhere... In my opinion if they want disney fans to stop crying and resolve discoveryland issue once and for all THEY GOTTA bring back the moon and everything no new plot no new music they need to revert to the original...
@@Olschoolvidz are you telling me that Jules Verne wouldn't have been curious about supernovas? The story I was talking about is literally explained in the queue. Yeah canonically (or cannon-ically) it's a follow up mission to the first one to the moon.
@@rct3isepic but you gotta understand that supernovas are rare and it’s not everyday that you are going to see supernovas on the plot of the first version the whole space mountain is like an airport to take guest to the moon daily and that’s why the ride is open everyday and it makes sense while supernovas are like super rare the last supernova was 400 YEARS ago... to me if u wanna make a mission 2 make it make sense going to mars would’ve been more relevant and logical they just wanted a quick new attraction because the resort at the time was about to declare bankruptcy again so they didn’t Cared about logic they just wanted explosions Dramatic generic space theme to attract teenagers who loved this aesthetic and now they regret praising mission 2 and here’s my hot take I rather have hyperspace mountain few years more so they take time on working on something epic that everyone will love than going back to mission 2 with all these outdated effects and cliche space soundtrack
@@Olschoolvidz are we just gonna act like that red worm hole tunnel isn't a cool effect? Also a lot of those effects in De la Terre A La Lune are pretty outdated too. I do think the actual story is a little half assed but I still liked the concept and ultimately would be fine with either coming back updated
In Disneyland Paris, we have been great to the family roller coasters, but in Disneyverse, we're hamming to the Disney rides with inversions. Welcome to the world of Disney roller coasters with inversions, a group of the super-speed French roller coasters, which were encountered at five Disney theme parks: Disney's California Adventure, Disney Hollywood Studios, Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park, and Tokyo DisneySea. They were all together born in France. They were set out to be called out as ''Speed Coaster'' a.k.a. ''Mobile Coaster''. In Disneyverse, Disney roller coasters with inversions existed since 1993 in Disneyverse, and they were all been made as French. In the similar fashion, experience how bigger are these main coasters: ''Indiana Jones et le Temple du Péril'', ''Space Mountain: Mission 2'', ''California Screamin''', ''Incredicoaster'', ''Rock 'n' Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith'' and ''Raging Spirits''. In Disneyverse, there are other than ''Speed Coasters'' a.k.a. ''Mobile Coasters'' too, especially to be similar to about the ones beyond the ''Back to the Future'' ride at Universal Studios Robloxia and ''Xpress'' at Walibi Belgium. I really hated it when they changed the Jules Verne theme for Mission 2, but this is even worse. Why even call it Discoveryland? Might as well call it Star Wars land...then turn the Studio Park into Marvel land, eventually there won't be any Disney left.
