ariana has improved so much in her lower register over quarantine and in the save your tears remix u can really see it !
She’s always been able to do it lol. Her old songs she did it well.
Her lows are not her best register tbh, those low notes in her live performance are often times weaker than her few stronger ones, but we have not yet heard anything from her yet recently, which makes me more curious about her live low notes

She’s improved, but It’s always been good. She just didn’t record songs with it because her label wanted her to sell her strength, which is the upper register. You’re hearing good lower register now because she’s controlling everything now-from writing to production.

Yeah it wasn't lip sync, she was singing but on the little screen you could see her hand out the mic and hear the back track singing "before you speak don't move cause I don't wanna wake up". It's just the back track effect for that bit.

I really think the strain Bebe puts on her voice while singing is purely psychological. You can tell as in her candid clips when she's calm, her voice resonates beautifully but in a live, stage setting her voice gets blocked almost. Perhaps anxiety. Her technique has improved greatly over the years though.
She should learn to mix more instead of forcing her chesty belts.

It was really hard to judge, because almost every Ariana's clip was from professional concert, and Bebe's ones were form concerts and from Instagram/other lives where she was just "playing" with her voice and had fun.
