I have the Ozito brand of gardening toys. I buy the strongest batteries and have three on hand, and my mother has another three herself. Does take quite a few years but they will eventually not hold charge and will need replacing. I find the blower uses up the charge quicker than the other tools. I don’t have a chain saw or a pole saw but a pruning saw that takes care of most situations. I love these tools as they are so light and don’t upset my back (have had 3 back ops) like the heavier Petrol tools do. The lawn edger for around paths and driveways is really good too.

Those trees that you are wanting to take all of them out is called “tree of Heaven”. They are very invasive and spread like wildfire. I would certainly recommend getting them under control, but it is going to seem like a never ending job.
I love that you have kept your bedroom downstairs. It makes it so much easier for everything to be one floor for every day living. The loft can be the extra space for office, game area, etc. your home your ideas. Too bad I live in Michigan I have a leather couch I would love to sell to you. Maybe I should take a road trip.

I love the chainsaw. ❤ Those elms grow so quickly. I had a few 30 plus foot ones in my garden. A sapling grew 7ft in a few years.

I agree. Save branches for firewood. It will come in handy during the winter.
@@MadamMayorsAdventures you should leave green wood dry for at least a year though. Otherwise your chimney will clog up and potentially becomes a fire hazard 🔥! In France we have to have an insulated pipe going from the wood heater all the way up through the chimney and it needs to be cleaned by a professional every year for insurance purposes.
If you have an open fireplace, I suggest you put a wood heater in to heat the house and preferably one that you can cook on. It will save you so much electricity ! You might want to install a ventilator on that high ceiling though because heat always goes up.
I have one wood heater that heats up my whole house and I love to cook on it. It feels so natural to cook on wood! One would think the electricity bill would be higher in the winter but mine goes down in wintertime. 👍🏼🔥❤️

Enjoying watching you gardening from a very cold and wet Scotland 🏴 Lifting the tree canopy and thinning out the woodland is a good idea. Your ‘sitooterie’(covered deck platform) would look lovely with Clematis and climbing Roses growing up and over it.
yes get the limbs close to the house and the cedar trees roots will grow into the foundation. We have some bad weather usually around April so the tree or limbs can fall on the house
In Dyersburg TN, we had a radio station that would announce yard sales for you. Also had something through the Jaycees called Chimes for charity. They action stuff off to help kids get a Christmas.

Christmas at Dollywood is AWESOME! The lights and the shows. You MUST see Christmas in the Smokies! AMAZING SHOW! We see it over and over every time we visit Dollywood. We have a fifth wheel. Camping is best way to visit Pigeon Forge.

I love the new blinds you got . Blinds for the front windows are expensive they are 23 inches wide. So they have to be special order. For the 2 bedroom windows they are domed they cost $300.00 for each window.The living room cost $275 .00 each to expensive. I make the curtains for those windows I use tension rods to put them up Have fun fixing the cabin up .

Here in Australia we have OP Shops which I think would be similar to what you would know as THRIFT shops run by charity groups. They have terrific pre-loved items & sometimes brand new. Flea markets are great too for the bargains, but I’m sure the neighbours will let you know where’s the best places locally for what you need. Happy treasure hunting, take care. 😊🫶💕🇦🇺

Go to a scratch and dent place. We bought a refrigerator at such a place, and it had dent on the side that was against the wall, so no one saw it. It lasted for 25 years before we had to get a new one and we only paid $700 for it. Your place is looking great❤❤❤❤.

At 12:21 in. Those look like walnut trees. They are messy. Glad you are getting rid of them.
to me it looked like either a Walnut, Black Walnut or maybe a Butternut tree.
I foresee stained hands picking up the nuts
I've been taught to "limb up" every tree and top some new ones. I had to "limb up" my oak last year because it overhang the sidewalk on rains when in leaf. Went as far up as a pole saw would go. May have to call a professional next year unless someone gets fearless.................lol. I'd be limbing a clean path to the lake view if it were me
We're working on that. Winter time will be easier for doing it, but we've started already.
