Thank you.. I'm a 65 yr old widow and I'm learning more and more about construction etc.. I did leave messages to pay some one to do this, but no one ever calls back. No one needs work I guess.. but it's ok.. 💪😀
TIP: When I worked for U.S. Forest Service as a Fire Camp Boss we always gave the Lead Cable a stiff tug or two to set the Arrowhead before attaching the lead cable to anything. Good Video, Thanks!
I have installed 1,000's and the Arrowhead will pull straight out if you don't set them with a stout tug and no they do not rotate when drove in@@misfitty-vd6kv
I’d rather anchor it to the concrete pad with built in tie down anchor points bc in a big storm the ground is going to be soft and a big wind could slide it out of the soppy ground don’t u think?
IM GETTING OLD. WHAT YOU YOUNG GUYS DO TO BUILD OR SECURE MAKES LITTLE SENSE TO ME. I GUESS THOSE LITTLE ARROWS WILL HELP BUT MAN, I DON'T THINK A GOOD WIND WILL HAVE TROUBLE.
Thank you for a simple video ! Now if I can get it moved without paying 200 dollars. Had to get a permit and the city wants my shed anchored and moved 10 feet from the neighbors property line
Isn't that dumb? Same here. I have no idea why you can put a privacy fence on the property line but not the wall of a shed. Even if you already have the fence up. I'm going with an enclosed trailer.
Just wanted to point out that you put the collar on the wrong side. It is actually called a saddle. and a saddle always goes on the opposite side of the cable that is going to nothing, the end you are cutting off. When you install cable clamps always remember to never saddle a dead horse. Also if you live in a high wind area, from storms, you should put a second cable clamp on about 3 inches from each other.
I would also recommend wearing a nice industrial leather glove as a buffer, or just practice your hammering skills to avoid beating the heck out of your hand, prior to installing 0:49 .
@Steven Fox - Despite your comment being a year old, I hope you see this and reply! You stated that it ' is actually called a saddle. and a saddle always goes on the opposite side of the cable that is going to nothing, the end you are cutting off." Since it's just a single cable that you form a loop with, how could he have got it on any other way? NOT being snarky, I would like to know since this might be useful. Thank you, if you can let me know. :-)
Give a hard tug on the cable after it's in the ground and before you put it through the O-ring. If you attach the hardware first, you won't be able to take up that slack.
@@kittywilhite9583 seems to me you would be able to take up the slack as you hammer it down in the ground. Once you put all the hardware on, I guess you could still tamp it down
Best video I've seen on this. Very clear. Thank you!
Nice fastener ring, and good that the cable end is unfinished/adjustable

HE EXPLAINED THE ARROWHEAD ROTATES SLIGHTLY AS IT GOES INTO THE GROUND. YOUR LITTLE TUG IS NOTHING WHEN A WIND KICKS UP.

@@misfitty-vd6kv Tugging or setting the anchor gets a bit of slack out of the line before connecting it to the building. Good practice.
This short video is a great help! Thank you for sharing!

Hits hand not once but twice...
Very special.
I wanted to tell him to turn the hammer sideways lol, works better for not missing! 😂

I for one disagree.
Yeah. I said Ouch got damn it! Cut cut... 😂😂

Dont gave them idea, by theur logic you should also anchored your car@@danob653
How big of a shed would this anchor kit work for? A 10' x 12' wood shed?
What is a good solution to anchor a shed on skids to concrete? Just use extra long tapcons through the skids?
How do you propose to secure against theft?
You want to get a much longer pole and use a post hammer for fencing that way you won't hit your hand with a sledgehammer
Where can I buy the kit
Does this work on plastic or those resin? Types of sheds, or is it just wood

Never saddle a dead horse!
Website says you're out of stock.
Any idea what the wind rating is on those?
How long is the tail?
How do you get anchor into hard rocky ground???
Sharp arrow head?
The screws that go into the shed are of superior gripping power and are not the weakest link. This the cost of this being 125 dollars
That little thin metal bracket is gonna hold up to real wind?

I would suggest installing the hardware first then tap down the anchor so that it’s tight. Might be ideal.

With it being so loose, it seems like it would just bounce around in the wind
What kind of winds do you have to hold a building down??
It depends on how big the shed is and what is stored inside. Also the location; does the wind have a run at it or are there wind barriers around it.
How many to tornado proof? 😂
Where can we purchase this kit or an anchor system like this?
Tractor supply
is it supposed to be that lose?
The cable does not have to be very tight.
@0:55 Someone else finished driving that thing.
Such a silly requirement. The only thing "not going anywhere" is the floor. Which is already the most secure b/c it probably has equipment on it.
I would suspect that the shed is anchored to the floor and the floor is anchored to the ground.
I hope I can do this without hitting my ✋ though or do I have to.
Do you recommend tethering from the roof so the roof doesn’t blow off?
How much and where to buy?
What is with people like you that can watch the internet and can't take the next step and use Google for the exact name that he just told you??
😂😂😂
Lets have a better look at the arrowhead anchor.
You can view it in the link in the description. store.montanashedcenter.com/product/shed-anchor-kit/
@@MontanaShedCenter $125 for only half a kit! Enough for 2 corners not four. Crazy!!!
“Remove your nuts” sheesh bro lol
safety tip...Try some gloves while pounding your fingers with the hammer. You may have 10, but you will miss even one. Otherwise, thx for the info...👍
Yes great tip. I smashed the hell out of my thumb with a mini sledge one time and I had a blood blister for months.
Ouch...me hand broke!
"Remove your nuts" is right. This thing wouldnt hold down a doghouse in high wind! Y'all must just have gentle breezes up that way!
I know that hurt, take the pain
Ever hear of a cable thimble, ever here of letting someone else properly demonstrate. You accomplished nothing to any code. Are you the owner?
Another example of not knowing anything but still doing a youtube video. Where do they get these people
Where's your shed anchoring video then? If you're going to critique, at least educate the rest of us here to learn.
$300 :/
