Thanks! I try to make videos I would watch also. Just a note: Some oils already come with the additive. If thats the case, no need to spend the extra money 👍
I have a 1997 EZGO golf cart that is electric I want to add new fluid to the rear end but I only have one drain plug at the bottom of the pan and I do not have a vent pipe just on top of the axle to add extra fluid to make sure it's full how is there another way that I can make sure that it's full of fluid other than just the drain plug at the bottom on the pan???
@@calebblair8003 Hey Caleb thanks for watching! The older ez go axles dont have the vent as you mentioned. You’ll have to take one of the wheels off and the hub from the axle. Either side works. Just use like 3/4’s of the container and you should be good to go. Its not really like a regular vehicle so even with the vent technically you cant check how much is in there. You just have to go with how much is left in the fluid bottle honestly. I don’t really think there is any harm in using the whole bottle as the excess will just go into the axle areas and the seals that are on each end will stop it. My axle video shows you how to remove everything for the oil change technically also. It’s shouldn’t be to difficult. Let me know how it does! If you have any other questions let me know and I’ll try and help best i can 🤙
@@cjlectronics honestly, I’ve seen it but never used it but I’m sure it will probably work. Just make sure it isn’t damaged at all before you put it on. It if you test it let me know how it goes would love to know👍 also thank you for watching! Working on some more golf cart content in near future.
Hey Justin, Just found your Videos and just what I was looking for i.e.: rear axle replacement and rear end oil change. Got a problem with my 2007 Club Car Carry-all 6, 48v wet cell 6x8v that I've had since 2017. I have a significant shutter when taking off from a stop. I replaced the 48v solinoid, no change. All batteries cells tested with a hygrometer are at or above 1.275+ except 2 cells on one battery, they are 1.210 Battery Voltage on 5 batteries are all @ about 8.7 after charging except the battery with the 2 lower cells, it is at 10.5v. I thought of either replacing the one battery (all batteries are 1yr old) or diving into motor brush replacement (motor has a 2013 date code)... any advise?
@@FloridaBuyTheWeek hey there! Thanks for watching! The stutter can be a few things. I would start by looking at your throttle sensor. On the battery have you load tested it? Thats a great way to find out if there are any issues there. Places like battery plus or other auto stores are able to do it for you if you don’t have the equipment. It is possible it could be the brushes with a jumpy start but usually id check throttle sensor first.
3/4’s of the bottle i showed is what Ive seen recommended. Although the whole bottle is likely fine because as any over flow likely goes into the axle area where the seals will hold it in.
Yeah, it should. That is similar to the posi-tac additive I am using in the video. If you are hearing grinding noises, though, you may need to pull apart the diff, check the teeth on the gears, and inspect the bearings.
Hey Ron! There is no way to check unfortunately but it is t to hard to do oil change honestly and if its never been done its definitely worth it. Is it like a high pitch whine or more like a grinding type sound?
@@ronfarrugia145 yea i would try and change out the fluid for sure and see if it helps as it’s the cheapest thing to start with. If that doesn’t help it could be one of the bearings. If you can jack the back of the cart up and get someone to lightly press the throttle and see if is for sure coming from the differential area and not the wheel area. If it is from the wheel area you may just need bearings that are on end of the axles right near the wheels which is a part of the axle video i did. Let me know how it goes! Always happy to help if i can 🤙
You’ll be good! The manuals also don’t usually call for the slip gear additive either but i’ve read and have seen most guys use it to improve the oil and prevent gear slippage. 👍
GREAT VIDEO, THANK YOU SO MUCH KEEP UM COMING!!
😄
My kinda video no BS and straight to the point/job. Thanks just need to see how much oil to put in and didnt know it needed the friction additive.

Great video! Easy to follow and enjoyable to watch.
Thanks man appreciate it! 👏🙌
I second that!!! Great video and I'll say it's the best one on this subject by far.
@@scotts9898 thank you! Appreciate it! I’m working on more soon!
How did you know when you had 25 oz in when a quarter is 32 oz?? Great video

Awesome video... TY!! I see Amazon has a gasket that supposedly is a drop in replacement. Do you have any feedback on whether this is true or not?

Question is tjere a seal where the motor meets the diff? housing seems like mine is leaking from there
@@cortneybunge359 there is. That is where the input shaft is. Check my channel i do have a video about replacing that 👍
Gteat info and format.😊
Thank you 🙏 appreciate you taking the time to watch the video! More to come!
Did you fill the oil up completely or is there a recomended amount

I bought Valvoline Advanced Gear Oil synthetic 75W-90 It has Limited Slip in it. Would this be ok to use on its own without adding anything?
That will work. You don't need to add additives as it is already included in that one.
One cool thing about this oil is the packaging is in a bag like pouch. So you don't need a pump to fill , just squeeze it and it pours out the spout.
@@DougClark-on2yd Oh wow, that's awesome! I am definitely going to check that out!
Can you just add the fluid through the vent?
Sure! Just afterwards make sure you push down on the valve cap to release any air you may have pumped in just in case 👍Also, thanks for watching 🙌
would Lucas Anti Sqawk/shudder Additive work?

Is there a way to check the level?
Recently bought my 2014 model and sounds whinny so wanted to check the oil level for peace of mind
Cheers
