I do think these would have been way more fun if they were $10 not $30. The items were all cute but fairly generic and inexpensive. They are clearly charging for the ‘Friends’ name.
I also feel like both were made by the same company, the graphics were very similar between the two like the pokadot mug.
Do you really have to have a rubber on the end of every pencil in America? Quite common over here in the UK 🤔🤷🏻♀️🤪

I actually enjoyed sassy Allison haha. Everything looks like you could get them at a dollar store (in the 2000´s haha); I also think you can find a lot of friends related items on etsy with a lot more quality and originality ; while supporting other people’s creativity.
I think the Urban Outfitters one was a complete letdown. I don’t think you would’ve been so let down by the FRIENDS one if the UO one hadn’t been so bad. If you got a little 2-3 foot tree for like $20 and decorated it with all the ornaments, I think it would be so cute!
My sister got me the friends one. She was so excited to give it to me, and I was so excited to get it. I’ve been enjoying opening it everyday. I love all the stuff. It being my favorite show, and a sweet little gift from my sister, opening a little something everyday has been special. It was a super cute thoughtful treat from her, and I love it all!
Second advent was better but still not worth $30 . Don’t worry Alli we know you are a lovely upbeat positive person. Just the advents weren’t up to expectations, not your fault. Loving the advent series x

It's not an UO branded product and you can find it a lot of places, even a year later i found it on Amazon for $15, UO is just notorious for pricing their stuff super high

thank you SO much for showing us these! I wanted to buy my friend one but wasnt sure if it was worth it! The 1st one is now up to $65 on Amazon too - this made my decision a lot easier. Hope they do something better next time!!

I am a huge fan of Friends! At one point I got annoyed at how unhappy you were with the calendar and kept complaining. I would buy it, even though they are small in size, as I am not pretentious and I would be happy for anything if it belongs to Friends. :) I do not see what the problem is with a pencil without an eraser, provided that you can buy it separately or, as in your case, there is an eraser on one of the days in the calendar. But this is definitely the first and last video I watch from you. 28:41 I'm glad no one hired you to make the calendars. One аdvice from me: Next time, read first before you buy anything.
I think you are right! I’m glad you are being honest about how you feel! It’s all repetitive and not very exciting!

I know I'm late to this video, but I was looking for Friends subscription unboxings & happened upon this. This is my 1st video of yours, and honestly, I was right there with you in the disappointment. In fact, for wasting $60 on $10 (tops) worth of items, I thought you held it together pretty well! I did think it was nice that all of the items were at least *usable* (I do a lot of paper crafting & could use pretty much all of those items), but they were definitely *not* worth $60. I already loved the Friends box I subscribed to, and this video just made me appreciate it 100x more! So sorry this was such a disappointment!
It's a $20 advent calendar i don't really know what you were expecting. Advent calenders are notoriously just little novelty things for fun, if you were expecting like pins and jewelry and trivia games etc. for 24 days you could definitely get that on Etsy but it's gonna be 150-200 bucks, branded stuff, even just a sticker is super expensive so for the more high end useful stuff it's gonna be a lot more money. Even the kids chocolate advent calenders are 5-10 bucks depending on the brand of chocolate
My roommate and I really enjoyed our FRIENDS calendar with the ornaments and tags. We used the gift tags as ornaments and I’m turning some of the other scene cards as ornaments. The recipes were also a nice touch.
For future reference check the description of advent calendars because they’ll list some if not all of what comes in the calendar. The UO description listed exactly what was in the calendar. The Target one gave a good idea of what came in it without giving it all away.

You are being realistic! You spent good money for disappointing items. I laughed so much during this video! You should totally try to create an advent calendar or two! One Friends and one Disney!! 😀❤️

I am actually glad you opened these with honesty! I am broke but wanted one advent calendar. Friends is my fav and this saved me from spending my teacher $ on junk! The Target one was much better but shame on them for charging so much!

I’m actually glad you reviewed these. I was going to get my best friend one for her birthday but after seeing this, DEFINITELY not worth it..
This is why I watch advent calendar videos before I buy. I know there is a chance that it could all be a bunch of stuff not worth near what you paid. From what I noticed, the majority of advent calendars are beauty. I think it is easier to make beauty ones worth the price because I think companies sell their stuff for cheaper prices to companies that want to put their products in advent calendars. I think they do that because there might be a good chance the consumer likes the product and goes out to buy more from that brand which gives the company more revenue making selling to advent calendar company a good choice. Many beauty product companies do that. But with things like Friends, companies probably aren't selling Friend's merchandise to advent calendar companies for a cheaper price; therefore, they have to buy a bunch of super cheap things for the calendar in order to make a profit. The first one was definitely for the profit of the company and that's only what mattered and the second one was for the profit of the company, but had a little more creativity which means they cared a little more, but still a rip off. Hopefully that makes sense. I know my logic might be a little hard to follow.

The second calendar was so much more detail oriented, it was so much better than the other one.
The F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Advent calendar was on Amazon for $11. I think it’s sold out now, but I got it for $11.

I purchased a stocking size friends trivia game at dollar tree. The best item in the urban outfitters was $1 value. If all the items felt like they at least had a dollar value than it would feel like you got your money’s worth. I don’t think you were being crabby, you were just keeping it real. Love your videos !
I’m a teacher too so I totally get the frustration of spending money on something that ends up as a disappointment, and then giving the stuff away to students. At least you can give them a smile.
So glad I got to see before I bought. Love all things friends even wearing friends pajamas right now. Thank you for show us and being honest in your reactions.
Oh god I just started watching and this calendar looks like it’s gonna be crap 😂 so disappointing!! I don’t know why they sell things like this for adults. Who wants a damn pencil and a single sticker in a $30 calendar 🤦♀️
Im happy the you did this so people who are expecting more aren’t disappointed with them especially the urban one! For $30 I wouldn’t be expecting to much but also the first one just repeated everything, the target one at least got a bit more creative.

I'm not watching the second half because I have the FRIENDS one because I have it and want to be surprised. I pre-ordered it months ago, and I seem to remember the advertisement suggested it was going to have bigger, more exciting things than what I can tell are in those little envelopes. Hoping it's better that the Central Perk one that is obviously garbage!! By the way i LOVE your pup!! Totally what my animals would do-plop down right in front of the camera! You shouldn't get any dislikes. In fact people will probably thank you for letting us know what NOT to buy, or to return it now before its too late!!

I got the Kohl's and Target sock advent calenders. My Kohl's one was free with Kohl's cash. I got a total of 27 new socks for only 15 dollars YAY!! I have seen every episode at least 10 times too.

I agree with others, the honesty was great. You are totally justified with your disappointment. I considered buying one of those, but I'm glad I saw this first. If the stationary one was like 1/3 the price sure, but way over priced at $30. It's unfortunate you spent the money on it, but sassy pants Allison was still worth the view and entertaining lol

This is exactly what I keep ranting to my husband about! The people that are putting out all these Friends things are not true fans of the show and are just trying to put something Friends related to make money.
I could vent about this for at least an hour with the examples I've witnessed. So irritating.

I think the second one was pretty good taking in account how thin the calendar is I think maybe the first one kinda soured the experience cause it was bad

I think a lot of advent calendars are like this... a waste of money. I didn't think of this as so much of a negative review, but as an HONEST review. Honesty is always refreshing in a review. You didn't seem crabby. You are looking gorgeous as always.

Thanks for an honest review! I mostly watch your Disney videos, which I love. It is completely valid for you to be upset, the price is not justifiable on the calendars at all! I feel like these calendars were made for people who like Friends, but do not love Friends. All of the obvious iconic quotes are present to satisfy a different generation of viewers.

You could always get a plain phone case and stick the stickers to that or even just rest them inside a clear one :)

Thank you so much for this video. I kinda thought about getting on of these for my son who LOVES Friends but wasn't impressed with the sample pictures and went a different route for his Calendar. I was still wondering if maybe he would have liked it but I feel so much better after watching your video. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU he would have opened these and the items would have sat on his floor for a while then they would have made their way to the trash.
You are not wrong about these advent calanders at all. Still liked watching I saw a friends advent calendar that was only 12 days with beauty spa stuff. Also you should get the friends official friends cookbook and do a video making some of the recipes.

I totally agree with you Allison. I would be so disappointed too if I spent that $60 on two Advent Calendars and all I got was junk. They should have advertised it better. I would have not spent that much money if I knew that all I was going to get was Stationery and gift tags. But, you didn't know that, and hey, you live, you learn.

I will say, the second box was better (at least it had more things from the show other than "how you doin'" LOL) Also, I have to disagree with you about those stickers... I love them! hahaha I also just really love stickers, I even have my own Etsy sticker shop 😂 But I really like these videos and seeing which advent calendars are worth it or not! Keep them coming!
