Ingredients:
🍗 1 Kg Chicken
🌿 70g Ginger (50g for paste + 20g for garnish)
🧄 100g Garlic
🌶️ 10 Green Chillies
🍃 10g Mint
💧 1/2 Cup Water
🍋 2 Lemons (for squeezing)
🧂 1 Tsp Salt
🍅 4 Tomatoes (sliced)
🛢️ Oil for cooking
🌶️ 1 Tsp Chilli Powder
🌶️ 1/4 Tsp Turkish Chilli Flakes
🌶️ 1/4 Tsp Chilli Flakes
🥘 1 Tbsp Roasted Coriander and Cumin Powder
🍅 1 1/2 Cup Tomato Paste
Directions:
1. Make the Chilli Paste: In a blender, combine 50g ginger, garlic, green chillies, mint, and water. Blend until smooth.
2. Marinate the Chicken: Squeeze lemon juice over chicken in a large bowl. Add salt, prepared chilli paste, and additional ginger. Mix thoroughly and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
3. Prepare the Chicken: Heat oil in a pan, cook the marinated chicken for 10-15 minutes on medium heat. Add sliced tomatoes and cook until tender.
4. Make the Sauce: Using the same pan, add chilli powder, Turkish chilli flakes, chilli flakes, and coriander-cumin powder. Cook for 5 minutes, then stir in tomato paste and continue cooking for another 5 minutes.
5. Final Cooking: Return the chicken to the pan, combine well, and simmer for 10 minutes on low to medium heat.
6. Serve: Garnish with fresh ginger. Best served with naan and a chilled drink.
