That’s wonderful you’re able to stay home with your son. I’m a licensed home daycare provider and my families consider my quality of care for their children as a “win” :) I have a couple families that their kids actually cry on weekends cuz they aren’t coming to Jen’s house! Daycare isn’t all that bad ;)
I have been doing same routine since my kids were little. Mornings are kitchen which includes unloading dishwasher and making sure I have what I need out for dinner. Picking up house focusing on a bedrooms and bathrooms, and doing one load of laundry. Nights after dinner are kitchen including cleaning up after dinner, packing lunches for next day,, loading and starting dishwasher, cleaning counters, appliances and sink, and taking out trash. Picking up house focusing on main living areas including mudroom and going through book bags, mail and finish up by doing floors. I do one weekly chore a day since I work outside the house now that usually happens at night during the week. My kids are now in their thirtys and fourtys but I have grandchildren over after school daily especially now with bus issues and we have one grandson that lives with us. This routine has worked well for me over the years even during quarantine times. Life happens so remember to be flexible as things will pop up and you need to adjust.
One thing that helped me out after having my boys was cooking for the week. I would take one day a week to try and cook all our meals for the following week. That made our evenings run so much smoother. Btw, I think it’s great that you stay home with Oliver. Being a teacher is difficult enough, but with a child it is so much harder. I know from experience, because I was a teacher as well, and I choose to stay home with my children.
I’ve been loving all your videos, I just became a new mom 3 weeks ago and I’d love to really get back into my RUclips channel in hopes of making a living out of it. I would love to be able to stay home with my baby and not have to put him in daycare. I am also teacher and I loved it but I know it’s not my thing. I’ve always dreamt of being my own boss and working from home. You’ve definitely been giving me inspiration to do so once I get into the swing of being a mom cause it’s definitely a lot at first. Hoping to start around fall time 🤞
I have 3 kids now and with my first I was always obsessed with cleaning my whole house at once... now I have learned that you just do what you can. Lol. When I had my second baby a woman across the hall was screaming like that also and it freaked me out. They had to pull my dr out of my room because the ladies baby was coming super fast then my dr came right back to check me like nothing happened. You are doing a great job! I promise it does get easier!
You made a great decision with staying home with Oliver, it is so important that children have there parents around to talk and discuss everyday life. He will appreciate it even though at times you feel they do not. I think I will try that cereal.
I like doing the vac and dusting. I don't mind doing laundry, just hate folding and putting away, lol. Your curtains by the eating area look great! I like them up high like you have them. You are awesome and an inspiration. 🤗🥰😘😊💝💐💖. I like your house and the way you decorated with neutral tones. Very cozy and pretty. Thank you for sharing your birth experience.
Being a new mom is exhausting but you're handling it like a pro. You are doing the right thing by getting rest when you can instead of worrying about having a perfect house. Hope the three of you have a great Easter weekend. 🐰🐇🌼🌸
I just love watching your vlogs. They are super relaxing and also motivating. Your a natural at this. So glad it is working out for you, and very happy you get to be at home and enjoy your baby!
Beautiful birth story! I didn't have an epidural and he came in 30 mins, it was just 0-100 real quick lol. I really didn't feel pain either (other than the contractions before I needed to push), just pressure! I tore REALLY bad, and didn't feel okay to walk much for 2 weeks 🙃 I don't think the epidural or cut would've changed my experience too much, but wow what a memory! This was just 2 months ago and we are planning #2 for next year! Congratulations Mama!
I was the same way with "one and done" right after every birth. 😆 🤣 but then later on, when I think about it, I wanted another baby. The lady that was screaming could've been waiting on her epidural and waited too long to ask for it. I was screaming like that when I arrived at the hospital to have Arabella. I was dilated to a 6 when I got there. 🥴
Love your channel!!! You have a sweet family! I enjoy your videos!!! I started watching cleaning videos in 2020 too. I really love watching them! Thanks so much!!👍
I didn’t get my epidural with my first until I was like 5-6 I labored at home until i finally decided I better go because I didn’t want to get sent home! With my 2nd, I didn’t get it until I was 7-8 I again labored at home for same reason and when I got the hospital I was at a 7!
Your story of giving birth was so cute and funny. Its been so long a go that i had my babby boy have times changed. Happy Easter God bless you and your family.💖🤗
Great video! Oliver is so adorable! I love his name! Don’t like Ollie, oh my, reminds me of this big outlet store called Ollie’s, and this big blow up of Ollie, scary!
Number one tip!!!! REST AT NAP TIME! Or at least a portion of it. Otherwise you’ll burn out so fast. Also, living a minimal lifestyle and having less in your home makes picking up and cleaning so much quicker!
I was going to say this too! We went minimalist as well. Less stress and less to worry about. Sleep when the baby sleeps! Trust me momma it gets better..
Lauren I certainly enjoyed watching your video and hearing your birth story girl you had an easy birth except the little kinks that came about every once a while but we’ve all had those and I’m sure your mother has plenty of stories with all five of y’all! Lauren you and Will are super parents and it is so evident when you look at Oliver he is a happy content baby and if you have to leave toys in the floor, Like you said it becomes your home decor especially when you have children. Will you have a happy day
Hi Lauren I love your videos Oliver is so cute I had three sons all were different but I use to clean before they got up and during nap and after bedtime maybe about 30minutes no later then I went to bed thank you for sharing your story and thank you for what you do God bless you and your family and stay safe and Happy Easter 🐇
Happy Easter to You, Will, Oliver and your puppy. Hope your sister loved the beautiful birthday basket you made her. Have a wonderful long week-end, stay safe and healthy. With love from Canada. 🇨🇦🐇🐰🐣🐤🐥🌞🌼💐💖💝🤗🥰😘😊. Having a non fat iced chai latte watching your video. 😀
I would say that your birth story was very eventful lol! It’s pretty unusual for you to be able to walk & use the bathroom when you have an epidural, typically an epidural comes with a catheter and your legs go numb so you can’t walk or pee on your own. 😂 maybe your epidural didn’t work & you just didn’t realize it 😅
@@kirstysteele3764 hey, yes i hope she does go back, because mom's truly need an identity apart from just being mother's especially after kids are grown up.

I like waking up between 6-6:30,that way my day is starting on the right track.

Hi Lauren! I am a new subscriber! You are adorable, so glad I found you. It’s so fun to watch other down to earth momma’s!
Girl you’re lucky! I had my water break & had to be induced. 24 hours of labor! Birth is no joke but well worth it!
I’m doing laundry 🧺 right now I just put the towels and the sheets in the dryer

My legs went super numb!! I think it was shortly after I got the epidural and it hadn’t fully kicked in yet! Lol
Do you recommend your bassinet? Looks so cute and I’m looking to get one for my first baby!
I think if I had it to do over again, I would get one that swivels! Haha
But it works fine! ❤️
Good to know, thanks!💜
Great video,
It's rather unfortunate that you quit teaching but okay i respect your decision. Good luck with parenting.
Nothing to stop her going back in the future though.
