After working in the food industry for over 10 years (I got out due to a work injury, I’d say one of the highest costs in the restaurant besides rent, wages, other overhead….would be waste. There is so much that is thrown away or not used. I’ve had to throw away good burgers that were well done rather well or even medium. We aren’t allowed to eat them or we have to pay for them. The only place that was wonderful when it came to food for the workers was a Thai place. They fed me lunch or dinner depending on my shift ❤❤ and it would be family style.
I think the texture of the food changes how many you can eat, because it takes longer to chew. Fluffy waffles or soft tortillas require more chewing than crunchy chips or thin pancakes
For me the best pancakes are cooked in enough oil they have a dark brown ring around the edge with a noticeable crunch to it. The blond super fluffy pancakes just don't cut it. If I want something light fluffy and sweet, I'll get a glazed donut from Krispy Kreme. This is why waffles are preferred over most pancakes.
I grabbed this mod yesterday when I finally broke down and installed the ghost mod. I’m in the middle of a Turkey dinner run with all the sides and toppings offered but this makes me wanna do breakfast now. Thank goodness for the saves mod so I can jump around 😂
So this mod will add sugar cookies with milk and grease with plastic, as dishes I assume? 1:35 But for real now - I guess someone saw Oysters and Mandarins and decided those weren't already annoying enough, lol. 2:50 Saved by the fact that orders are random every day, so everyone picked three Pancakes from last day. 40:20 You know what would be a fun quality of life addition in base game? If a portioner could take off the multiple items off plate. So like, if you mess up Oysters - you can actually pull one off with portioner.
Poodle and CCS are Hunting Dogs, they can be problematic... but trust me... Chickens can and will try to defend themselves is given the chance. Also dont be under the wrong impression. While they do eat grass and corn they are omnivorous. They can and will eat meat for the nutrients they need for heatly eggs. Just some tips from someone on a farm^^
The cox (yes that is the proper name) doesn't shout to keep the tempo. They steer and tell the rowers what pace to go. The first rower (the one at the back of the boat) keeps the tempo and the guy behind just follows and so on
My family used to have a medium sized dog named Ranger. One time while he was running loose in our yard, he ended up cornering a chicken and pinned it to the ground with one paw. He the looked back at my mother with his super happy face like "Hey! I got one! What do I do now?!" This only happened once, dogs can get used to chickens. Oh, they might chase them now and then, but you can train the dogs to not catch them.
These butter prices are insane. The internet told me that 1 block of butter is a bit less than 1 block butter in Germany and we're paying 1 - 2 € or roundabout 2 CAD
On the difference between foods in Canada and the US: there's definitely a quality difference based on tighter regulations for most food in Canada. American milk has such a strange texture. It's more watery than Canadian milk, even if you compare 2% American milk to skim Canadian milk.
Sorry for a second comment. My husband is GOD AWFUL at cooking. One time he made me scrambled eggs as we were packing up the car to leave for Christmas vacation. Well I didn’t get the chance to eat them and they lay forgotten on the table. A week or so later when we got home…they looked exactly the same as when he made them. He also ruined canned tomato soup. It was inedible
at 33:10 gng says gordon ramsay puts cream cheese in his scrambled eggs. That is not true, he uses creme fresh, which is more like milk or heavy cream.
Raisin Toast haunts my dreams. When I worked at Waffle House, this teenager that worked 2nd shift was obsessed with the damn song. Pissed the manager and myself off
Bruh the Mod Developer totally looked at the Sell Price for an American Breakfast in his State (probably a North-Eastern State) when he made this and was like "Hmm, sounds good" and just dumped the values into the Game 😂 Edit: Waffle House Slang is different in my area by a mile. For Pancakes: • One is a flat • Two is a pound • Three is a stack • If it's a non-multiple of 3 more than 3, you add a flat or pound in front of stack (ex. "stack and a pound" for 5 Pancakes) • If it's a multiple of 3 more than 3, you add double, triple, etc. behind stack (ex. "triple stack" for 9 Pancakes) For Waffles: • A Plain Round is an Iron • A Plain Square is a Press • Two or more go by their Number (ex. "3 Iron" for 3 Round Waffles) For Sides, Dresses (Dressings) and Tops (Toppings): • Any side apart from eggs is a Winder (ex. "Stack and a Winder" for 3 Pancakes and any Side) • For Eggs, we go by how they're made (ex. "Press n' Scramble" for a Square Waffle and Scrambled Eggs) • Butter is Grease and Syrup is Wet like you mentioned (those are tabled now as of recent years) • Any other sides, dresses and tops on the menu are Crowns (we add most of them in the back around here, and sometimes we update the menus when something sticks) • Anything else is a Sally (It's customs for us to charge extra for Sallies since we don't serve them conventionally). Note: We don't write slangs on tickets because that'd be dumb and confusing
I am going to disagree with Gavin on his assessment of eggs Benedict or poached eggs being the most challenging breakfast foods. Making a proper, good, French omelette is easier to mess up/make wrong than either of the others
I worked at waffle house for 6 years. Their lingo is my favorite part. I love that you included it in a restaurant game. I can't wait to see you use it.
Waffle House is my favorite restaurant of like all time I love hearing you talk about and run one! I'm so sad there are none near me i usually get like 4 waffles cause of it
learned recently that the reason waffle house is called waffle house is because it's the most profitable item on their menu, so they want to encourage people to order it as much as possible. we don't even have waffle house in australia i just thought it was interesting
Sometimes... people open their mouths and you wish they hadn't. Itsgng is one of those people - sometimes, you should just... not talk. Because the things you say are not correct, verging on offensive. Calling original songs "parodies" is rude.
The way you two converse reminds me of a parent and their kid. Like gng is just going on random tangents and skootie is like “thats great sweetie” 😂
Soo glad this is top comment cause exact same thought I had the whole time
As a parent of a talkative 10 year old….all I get in is “uh huh?”, “really”, “ohhh” and “that’s nice”
Skootie: "You know what we should do? We should look up the lingo and do it next time" (that's parent for "we're not doing that, I'm gonna count on you to forget about it by tomorrow")

I'm so glad these two started this series because man i love having their conversations on in the background while working
44:28 my mind followed it's bold, it's brash with "it belongs in the trash"

Love that this game has such a great modding community.
Haha, the milk carton costume is cute. Looks so silly when it bends back.
that moment when you have 3 copying desks but only one blueprint cabinet 😂

Donuts are light and fluffy to you??? I like my pancakes like clouds!! (admittedly I don't eat pancakes often tho)
I love these casual PlateUp vids so much. Thanks Skoottie ❤️
I agree a stack of pancakes is 3, 2 pancakes is a sad sandwich and 1 isn't plural
I grabbed this mod yesterday when I finally broke down and installed the ghost mod. I’m in the middle of a Turkey dinner run with all the sides and toppings offered but this makes me wanna do breakfast now. Thank goodness for the saves mod so I can jump around 😂
Tbh, I reheat pizza in a panini press (waffle iron would probably work too), but just sandwich two slices and you get a pizzanini
Redoing the American breakfast mod run needs to have the guest shoving idea put in lol.
Yooooo he's using my food outfit pack wooooo glad you like it lol. Any suggestions on more hats or outfits?
Oooo Ill try to think of some, the milk is awesome!
I already have for the future, a donut, banana, and cookie
waffle batter generally has oil while pancake batter doesn't
@itsgng = Tier: 6, A/H: 1/9, Ability: Start of Day: Give friends +1/+2/+3 confusion. 💚 💙
oh lmaoooo

Ooo the portioner idea is so good!
This mod was reaaally well made; looked like part of the game! Cant wait for part 2
Oh, and still waiting on the continuation of the dumpling run :D

waffles with butter and honey. love it.
Quacks mods are SO incredible wtf
i remember getting this mod yesterday and getting to OT first try and i really loved this one
Why did itsgng sell the research desk at 16:06? I'm confusion.
The cox (yes that is the proper name) doesn't shout to keep the tempo. They steer and tell the rowers what pace to go. The first rower (the one at the back of the boat) keeps the tempo and the guy behind just follows and so on
I watched it live, hell I'm in it, yet here I am. Watching it again.
Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls in a waffle maker are amazing. I have done it. *chefs kiss
I have Amish candies in my local grocery store. They are so good.
My family used to have a medium sized dog named Ranger. One time while he was running loose in our yard, he ended up cornering a chicken and pinned it to the ground with one paw. No fried chicken and waffles????? No biscuits and gravy???? No Grits????? There needs to be a southern breakfast mod. Thanks for the video.
Gavin needs to parody Cardiac B with his Wet Ass Pancake lmao
Why did they discard the research desk before day 7?
These butter prices are insane. The internet told me that 1 block of butter is a bit less than 1 block butter in Germany and we're paying 1 - 2 € or roundabout 2 CAD
Ya not on sale cheap butter is 6.50 CAD, for 454g. On a good sale you could probably get it for 4 CAD (usual sales go to 5). It's very sad
On the difference between foods in Canada and the US: there's definitely a quality difference based on tighter regulations for most food in Canada. American milk has such a strange texture. It's more watery than Canadian milk, even if you compare 2% American milk to skim Canadian milk.
Also itsgng and Skoottie comparing dollar prices of butter, but they're not using the same dollars.
Yoooo, who made this? 😮
8:30 he asked that question and me and you said "Waffle House" at the same time 😂 They really are the best hash browns ever
i could make my own pancakes for less money but they just take so much time that i don't feel like bothering with it
is the couples’ sparkles on the player models a mod?
Loving the content buddy!!🎉
Also don’t get chickens….. we now are dealing with a bobcat or coyote problem….we also have a wooden fence that is over 6ft
27:50-28:01 is funny out of context
i got my pancake run all auto right now.
Oh to zone out a moment just to come back to hear "I need a double peepee with an s"

15:34 - The allies won because of the lack of proper codes.
Why did you throw away the research desk?
The term for 3 stack is a short stack
They should make a card where you lose money for every item you waste
at 33:10 gng says gordon ramsay puts cream cheese in his scrambled eggs. That is not true, he uses creme fresh, which is more like milk or heavy cream.
Hey, would it be possible to get a modlist with the mods u are using?

Little late to this, but hi I'm the mod developer and I just based the prices on the difficulty of making the food in-game 😆
I am going to disagree with Gavin on his assessment of eggs Benedict or poached eggs being the most challenging breakfast foods. Making a proper, good, French omelette is easier to mess up/make wrong than either of the others

I love that you included it in a restaurant game. I can't wait to see you use it.
I make incredible pancakes
As an american I can assure that we don't trust our own food either we have just reached a point of not caring.
I don’t believe all the Amish butter is made by Amish it’s called “Amish Style.”
I don’t think gng knows how old Gavin Free is… I don’t know how old gng is but they don’t sound in their mid-30s. 👀
What the heck was that beeping at the beginning of the video?
Every time I watch these plate up videos all I can think is: tell me you've never worked in a restaurant without telling me you work in a restaurant
Is it just me or is the quality poor? Can't seem to change it on RUclips
From itsgng Gavin lied people died
Waffle House is my favorite restaurant of like all time I love hearing you talk about and run one! I'm so sad there are none near me i usually get like 4 waffles cause of it

I’m sorry I tried a video again after a while but GNG just annoys me with how he talks.
Sometimes... people open their mouths and you wish they hadn't. Itsgng is one of those people - sometimes, you should just... not talk. Because the things you say are not correct, verging on offensive. Calling original songs "parodies" is rude.
Just gotta reach out to Waffle House and get them to sponsor you so that you can use their music on that video...
You MUST live down south to like wafflehouse @skoottie XD Wafflehouse anywhere else is so badddd haha
