Looked like she put the inside of the diaper down towards the liner. Wouldn't the diaper work better with the outside face down towards the liner and the absorbent part towards the soil?
Very cool side by side experiment!! I've tried the diaper method and have seen others use plastic bags inside their coco liners but never tried it myself. The diaper definitely helped retain water...I now prefer to just ditch the coco liners for EZ Swap fabric liners as you get better water retention and multiple seasons from the liners.
Were these baby diapers? I tried adult diapers a couple of years ago, wasn;t impressed. albeit, positioned them like you... north to south, not AROUND the flower pot- left to right... that would make a difference. Also... GRAVITY. Moisture will accumulate at the bottom, which eventually makes the basket look gnarly. Coconut fiber absorbs more moisture, it's eco-friendly and cheaper.
Thanks for taking the time to do the comparison :) and for sharing the results.
Thx 😊, great video , appreciate your sharing . 👍😘⚾️

I don’t think swim diapers have the same water absorbing material as regular disposable diapers, so I wonder if that would have made a difference?
This is what I want to say.
Swimming diaper doesn’t hold water.

I just literally in last video saw a lady use over night pads 🤯
diaper did not cover the same area as the plastic bag.
Plastic it is then

Try moistening the diaper first.
