Baby Reindeer is a recently released Netflix mine-series that has become the topic of intense conversation recently. One of the people portrayed in the series is a person named Martha who is accused of stalking the main character Donny (based on comedian and show-writer - Richard Gadd). The person which the role of Martha was allegedly based on has come forward to speak against the series, those who created it, and the platforms that stream it. In a recent interview with Piers Morgan, Fiona Harvey attempts to clear her name, but things don’t go how she plans. This is my body language analysis of that interview.

nah - that was Piers not understanding the Scottish education system. She was very clear and said it was not an honours degree, and that she only had an ordinary degree. This means that she took the law course but achieved a degree at a lower standard than an honours degree and didn't get enough credits to be awarded an honours degree. The ordinary degree that she claims to hold would be a pass/fail marking, without any "usual" grade attached (i.e there is no 2:1, 2:2 etc).

And she'll not sue anybody for sure because then they'll get to the bottom of things and track everything back, she doesn't want any proof to come out and said it herself. THE biggest tell (& i've worked w/law enforcement) is that when Piers offered a simple solution to prove she's telling the truth: having Gadd show the emails, voicemails etc., her immediate response is "No." And then she adds, "I just want them to leave me alone." A) if you are telling the truth you would say: YES! let's see the proof B) when you are not telling the truth the LAST thing you want is for them to show proof you are lying C) If you want them to leave you alone, you don't go on TV, talk about a lawsuit, seek out publicity. You hope & pray it all just goes away. And even though the sleuths found her, she could not engage which quickly puts out these type of fires. She WANTS and NEEDS this attention. In it, she perhaps sees the hope of re-igniting her "relationship" with Gadd.

When I was a teenager I stalked a teenage boy. I was obsessive. It started as a crush and got out of control. I later grew up and was diagnosed with borderline-personality disorder, and have spent my entire adult life trying to learn (through meds and therapy) how to emotionally regulate myself in more healthy ways. I find it interesting that as an adult (we are in our 40’s now) he Facebook requested me. I accepted but have never communicated with him. I do still get a weird fix from knowing he’s in my Facebook friends. I don’t know him, never had a conversation with him in the last 25 years, yet would feel upset if he suddenly deleted my Facebook friendship. Mental health is so complex. I believe from my experience that these two (Gadd and Harvey) are still getting supply from each other. 🤯

I think if more people were honest, they would have a similar story. A crush they chased, even stalked by today's definitions.
When I was being stalked in high school, everyone told me it was romantic.
So when I did it to a boy, constantly showing up at his job, making mix tapes for him, and even signing up for a class just to bump into him- I thought it was romantic. That someday, he'd realize the right girl(me) was there all along.
Isn't that how it goes in movies and songs?
As we age, we get some maturity and perspective. Learn to be better at boundaries. Both hearing them and setting them.

Although the show says "this is a true story" Gadd has said the show reveals an "emotional truth" that's been based on real experiences. Perhaps when the show starts with "this is a true story" they meant this emotional truth, because it was the emotional truth that was more important to the art/story overall - afterall the show is ultimately about trauma. And one important detail that everyone seems to have missed is that in the credits of episode 7 the show literally says "BASED on real events" . Gadd/Netflix never lied to us.

The psychologist mentioned neglect as the main causal factor (which is not always the case) and completely failed to account for the significant role of overevaluation as well. Also, the notion that borderline personality disorder underlies all narcissistic personality disorder is ABSURD. BPD is completely distinct from narcissistic personality disorder. They can be comorbid, but are entirely distinct. Martha is likely someone who suffers from BPD, not NPD. How can she be so bad at lying and lie this much? 😂

She did mention being a diabetic - constant thirst being a symptom of uncontrolled diabetes. So yes, a dry mouth would explain the water drinking, and shouldn’t be explained away through body language analysis. Please note that dry eyes are also a symptom, and can explain rapid blinking in some instances.

i have bpd and the part where the psychologist was explaining npd hit me really really hard, i related to every single bit, made me realise how much crossover and similarity there is between cluster bs, i'm sorry for anyone who had to grow up this way and has to deal with these disorders, it's a living hell but we can get through it

yo i have never wanted to see your video as fast as i did when i found out about this interview!
    Isn't it just so fascinating!
ps im Scottish and the Law Degree she speaks of is a simple 2/3 years at college with a certificate to say you passed. It is entry level qualification that allows you to work in the legal field...
BUT this is NOT the same as a Law Degree from University that allows you to actually practice law. If that makes sense. In other words, she definitely lied.

I mean 1. RG said it was a true depiction of his emotional experience. Not an exact play by play of events 2. He flat out stated that changes werr made to key antagonists to protect their identities. 3. He asked people not to track down the real Martha as she's unwell and he does has empathy for her. No matter what the truth - i am having trouble seeing grounds for defamation. If Fiona isn't the basis for Martha and there are no emails texts etc that link her to that character then the case can be made that shs wasn't the inspiration for Martha,, Richard never claimed she was, etc. If the emails, voicemails, and such do exist then it's the truth and therefore not defamation.

The fact that she thinks recordings of someone talking in a pub could be confused for voicemails is absolutely hilarious. A voicemail is a very, very specific context. Somebody conversing in a pub has never in this universe resembled a voicemail message.
Sounds to me like she knows those voicemail messages will be used against her in court and her defense will be "that's just a recording of me in the pub". Which will be absolutely hilarious. No jury on the planet is going to confuse voicemail messages with raw pub recordings.

Ms Harvey aka Martha already has a public restraining order against her and it dates back to abusing a female lawyer who had to get rid of her from her first ,minor position in a law firm just after she graduated in 1997 . Apparently she was impossible to work with and lasted in the jobs afew weeks, from then she started a barrage of harrassment such as abusing the lawyers family and accusing her maliciiously of punching her own child. This went on for 5 years. Although this lady's conduct is crazy what about Darrien the older scriptwriter in TV and theatre who r^ped Richard whilst he was high? No one bothered to dox and out him to the world.

    • @aquarius021489

Darrien is just smart enough to not announce that they're one of the real life villains in a show.
Fans have accused some people of being Darrien and Gadd came out and denied it was them. As long as Darrien doesn't give out interviews like Martha here, he can fly under the radar.

I noticed a few things watching yesterday-obv the contradictory nature of things she said, answers were all over the map. Her blinking I took note of, maybe it meant nothing but at times she blinked a lot & some of her answers were bizarre for no reason & just seemed SO odd but not to her. 6 emails, 4 phones which initially she says are for diff reasons- utilities, almost like bill collectors, close friends but then when he asks again why she has 4 she says 3 are broken which is a wildly different version of the answer though both are odd.
