It takes an incredible amount of courage to take the best part of your game and completely rework it, especially when it doesn't yield immediate results and at such a crucial time in his career. Respect.
He is talking about high school and shooting it from the hip, so I'm assuming he was still very small. So this is more about a must change because that shot is not gonna take you very far. I mean it's the shot most children start with but have to change eventually.
This it what makes pros pros...son of an NBA player or not he could have quit that summer or not take the coaching and been a lesser player...he didn't. Same way there are guys who think lifting weights will mess with their shot...that just means they are too lazy to keep working to get better at their craft. MJ bulked up a lot and his J got better with age. About that work.
I went through the same exactly thing. This video made me smile through every f******* second. Felt as if it was me telling this story. One day while practicing I took 47 3's and made 37. This is when I knew I found my stroke. I knew I was never looking back at that point. I even recorded myself so I couldn't forget it lol
Love your interviews Graham. They are expertly & causes more detailed info the audience wants to hea. I just ran across it. They're gr8, keep up the gr8 work! Thank u
there's a game in 1995 when charlotte played the rockets. dell and glen rice put on an absolute clinic. if you blink really fast you'd swear you were watching steph.
Thank you so much for these interviews Graham! Just wanted to ask you regarding the date this interview took place with Stephen Curry? Was it taped earlier just like the one with Kobe? Thanks
thus guy ask very good questions, dont stop doing these. the Shaq interview was one of your best. i dont know if you done one with MJ yet but if you have not...you should lol
I understand where he is coming from. I took the whole summer fixing my form for my high school basketball career and I figured it out within 2 months.
You wonder if Graham has no clue about sports Or maybe he knows but wanted him to elaborate on his worst basketball summer was when he changed his shot.
Don't you miss the good ol' days where you didn't have to use your brain to play defense. All you had to do was manhandle your guy. Why can't we all just punch each other again? These youngins nowadays actually have to strategize. What went wrong?? /s
This graham bensinger is the worst interviewer for athletes for three reasons: 1. He knows nothing about the sport, you can see it here and the interview with shaq. 2. His tone lures you to sleep and asks the same boring questions over and over again. There is nothing in depth to offer that you haven't heard elsewhere. 3. He tries to acts interested but he doesn't look like he gives a crap
+Graham Bensinger You do a great job & ask good questions. I've wanted to hear Steph Curry go into detail about the process of revamping his shot because it seems like it's key to his greatness.
A reporter that actually asks good questions.
WOW never knew it existed.
joe that’s why he gets the best people to interview, they feel like they’re being asked respectful and insightful questions

These interviews need to be seen by far more people.
+Daz555Daz thanks!
I agree this guy needs more subs
Graham Bensinger ... Please get Dwade, Tim Duncan, and Pippen on your show. Your interview are the stuff of legends.

Steph has come a long way in his career and as he continues his game he gets better as he progresses

+Betty Flanigan Appreciate that, Betty!

Man that would be so frustrating to have to have your dad make you feel like you were getting so much worse for all that time.
Thank you so much for these interviews Graham!
Just wanted to ask you regarding the date this interview took place with Stephen Curry?
Was it taped earlier just like the one with Kobe? Thanks
+Khalid K Thanks! This one was from early last year (2015)
Nice interview!
You have to wonder how Steph's career would have played out if his dad would have never had him revamp his shot??
shawn marion
@@stanleylim4458 Lol
Great videos man!
he has such a deep voice wtf how???
how does graham get these interviews? he must have a really good hostage or something

+BrotherO4 Thanks! I'd love to... He has to say "yes" first! 😀
You are a great interviewer!!! Are you on television or is this just a RUclips Channel?
+Kareem Drayton Thanks, Kareem! I have a weekly TV show. Check my website for where/when it airs in your city.
+Graham Bensinger ii wish you would have asked him how he made the change
@@luv4942 this is why you're not a reporter, Graham does't ask shitty question like you do
I understand where he is coming from. I took the whole summer fixing my form for my high school basketball career and I figured it out within 2 months.
Why does it look like curry just woke up
I’m literally watching this rn becusse I’m trying to raise my shootin pocket
Only took him a month? Sheeessh
graham did steph tell you what his dad made him do. Like what drills?
+Kabir Jalloh To be honest, I'm not sure... :( Sorry, Kabir!
+Dalexis Peguero its kinda hard for him to do form shooting cause he turns his wrist when he shoots
So I train myself in the paint, I'd money from everywhere? regardless of my from?
What kind of shoes are Steph wearing?
damn Daniels 11
+Godfrey Sakyi lmaooo
You wonder if Graham has no clue about sports Or maybe he knows but wanted him to elaborate on his worst basketball summer was when he changed his shot.
Instead of so many 2 minute segments maybe try 4 8 minute segments. Kinda annoying
I have seen there Jv record haha
good thing bigs aren't allowed to touch him or he'd be running scared
***** basketball wasn't always this soft
+colenbrak damn straight
put on a hand checking Gary Peyton on his ass he be choking like a gold fish outta water lol

Miguel Leria go back to reddit, you clearly haven't watched any games from the 80s or 90s
***** I don't know if you are paying me an actual compliment or being sarcastic here lol
This guy's face just pisses me off
Graham or steph

+Jesse Peng Well shit man, that's just mean as fuck.
