This is so therapeutic in winter. I could watch you dig, mix in compost, work the dirt all day long. I’m getting a few of the spilled wine myself.

What a great late season find! They fill that space perfectly, and will help with any erosion on the slight slope. Also the purple color is remarkable 💜

I didn’t even think about erosion when planting these, but that’s so true!

Loving your videos, especially the small to medium size evergreens content. I have finally learned, after years of trimming forsyinthias, that you should prune right after they flower in Spring. Otherwise you risk cutting off the flowers for the next year because they grow on old wood. Also wanted to say how thoughtful it is that you are planting easy to take care of plants for your mom. 😸

Hi Joshua - I stumbled onto your channel today and just love what you're doing in your garden. I'm in Boise, ID zone 6b. What caught my attention to you was when you were talking about the forsythia. Forsythia is always my Spring is here meter when i see those bright yellow flowers, they're always the first to wake up after a very long winter. I also caught an end-of-the- season sale at Lowes or maybe HomeDepot and I bought the wine and roses weigelia, I just love the beautiful wine-colored leaves. I can't wait to see it when it blooms next year. Happy holidays to you and yours!😊

Hello! 👋 It’s always beautiful seeing the forsythia open up before everything else! And I bet that wine and roses weigela will be beautiful! ☺️

I did the same thing this year! What a deal and bought the whole place out. planted 156 annuals so excited for next years growth

@Stroker69 are they hardy in your area? Annuals usually don’t come back, but I guess if you are in a warm enough climate they may. Unless you mean perennials!
