I'm American Indian/Native American. I live in California. Last year I went to the Morongo powwow and dressed up in a custom made jingle dress to wear there and dance. My godfather joined me...Even though I'm not enrolled in any tribe, however I still meet the blood quantum requirement. So I'm "enough* Indian blood. I wish enrollment policies would change. Having better health insurance from a group policy would be great...going to tribal events would be great too...instead I'm outcasted because of the LAW. Why not change the law so people like me get the funding they need as a minority for special benefits? I think tribal governments need to change enrollment policies and see if that will better the future for how we take care of people who identify themselves as American Indian/Native American like myself. Anyways back to my dress and dancing...I took baby steps but I joined the beautiful dancers there...and it was amazing.
@@AzMurphy2022if you don’t know these ladies, then yeah but for me ik them from the circle lol… so ik who placed, usually it’s always the ones that are highly known that dance in this special… finally diff this yr 🤌🏽
@@codymanson642 yeah usually they say names but not this year , I’m not as well known as my cousins in the circle , so it is what it is .. but thanks for cleaning it up 👍🏼
Look at RUclips videos and practice along if you can! There are also some tutorials for different dance styles on here. Good luck! It’s never too late to
