    Watching this on my phone and I can hear the difference between the two cars. Sounds like yours has more depth because of the position of the speakers.

    Most of your videos should complete with showing your customers feelings and thoughts when they receive their cars with the upgraded audio systems

    Sorry to keep commenting but those pioneers are putting out 2.5v pre outs to the amps. Put a line driver on them or upgrade those head units to a 5v pre out head unit. Gonna go big with great drivers, you want better source power to your amplifiers, If you’re trying to go “the best” (not gonna be the snob that says you HAVE to go dsp, but still that pre out voltage accounts for audio loss, especially to amplifiers that give you up to RMS and nothing more.

    I own a car audio store. I just bought one on a great deal (7300 for a clean 2012 with 117000 miles). Planning on doing focal flax components in the front, flax coaxials in the rear, 2 Memphis m7 12s in a custom enclosure in the trunk powered on audiocontrol 6channel for the door woofers and tweets and the lc1.1500 for the subs. I’m fucking excited. Getting full sound treatment with Metra ballistic hollow point and fast rings. Still debating if I’m going to install a second head unit as a DAC, the Sony rsx-gs9, and send that as optical out to an audiocontrol 6to8 or a focal 6to8 (I know it’s gladen, but I’d buy the box that just says focal on it because it’s the same and I’m brand loyal). This will be my personal driver, as well as a show car. So- dsp or no? Or just fuck it and do a DSP amplifier and send my audio out from the D-6.1200 to the mono block?

    Also- eww... fosgate amps. Dude give your speakers head room. Keep your gains at a tick above zero.

    I think the 4th gen sounded better on the 1st track, didn't sound much different on the 2nd track.

      The customers car sounds more "lively" theres more depth.. his car sounds a bit flat

    Hmm.... the 4th gen sounded a bit flatter in the midrange compared to yours. I can only think that's because of how you have your midranges mounted though... Other than that they both sound exactly the same to me.

    I have a Pioneer DEH-X7850BT in my 2005 single cab Mitsubishi Triton running in network mode with a set of Morel Maximus 602 2 way components and it sounds awesome, the control you have over the crossover points is great, the main reason I'm running in network mode is because there is only left and right front no rears, an I also have an Option Audio slimline 12" sub running off a Sound Magus X1502 mono amp and a Sound Magus C160 4 channel that is going to be for the speakers when I get around to running the new speaker wires.

    I like this comparison, because you can hear a slight difference.
    One question, how do you do time alignment with 3 way separates that are passive?
    I have a bad feeling about your customers front door 6&1/2 speakers might have a damaged surround from that top middle screw fastener making contact in the future.

    I think it’s because your sound stage is higher then his. You have the 3”s bouncing off the windshield and tweeter pointing at you. I also like my stage sound higher then in the doors.

    I prefer immersive sound systems too, even if it's not surround sound. And totally know what you mean about the bass that hits you and goes through you.

    I feel like your car has a warmer sound due to all the sound deadener. With both installs 100% same, same matte it would be hard to tell with just a human ear.

    the surround feeling more enjoyable for listening, if you had to do it all over again with different speakers and amplifier what kind and how much improvement could be gained?

    • @caraudioetc
      @caraudioetc  6 лет назад

      I could only improve it by spending more money on better speakers, K2 or utopia (yea right lol) and adding a subwoofer and seperate amplifier.
      And maybe going FULLY active (2 of the 4 channels, one for the mids and highs, one for the mid bass and rears + a mono block for the sub)
      With either a focal FSP-8 or a RF 3sixty.3
      Only problem with that setup which is what I am facing in the future is that both of those dips only allow for 8ch output whan I would need 10.
      Would either need some kind of work around or the new audition 10ch dsp.

    i want those speakers to my ZAPCO DSP amp....

    • @caraudioetc
      @caraudioetc  6 лет назад

      lol ZAPCO!
      Sorry not having a go, we had a really funny customer a few years ago who gave us a really weird but massive zapco job and we still laugh about it today.
      Great amps but this guy was dead set on using something called symbalink and all the adapters that the audio had to go through as well as an in dash crossover in before it got to the actual amplifiers.

      Yep...I hear you. I have the same amp but with RCA....when I get the flax and install 05 MBZ CLK Cabriolet I'll post and ask for feed back. Thanks for your reply. Keep up the good work . cali U.S.
