Who cares? This is the man who can make a shovel sing like an angel...😀😎
haha made my day man
I say that about J.J. all over RUclips. LOL.(In fact...I just said it earlier tonight. Surprisingly, in a review of the Cort CJ Retro.)
@UCk01QVYXZGZZqAM9eu-uIsg Yes, none care for your trojan software advertising
Note the guitar tone is lowered here (E to E flat etc)
I love those musical pieces and the way he plays them ...
@@BlackSun3Tube Thanks. Tuning guitars down a half step tends to make them sound better/fuller.
I love that little smile at the very end. That means "it's good!"
I'm from India and I love your videos
.......god bless you brother 😇😇😇
JJ, you're becoming an inevitable factor of acoustic instrumental blues. Thanks for this crazy show, great stuff at my dinner. Greetings from Europe!
The body looks thin but sounds THICC. Really though, it resonates well. Has almost an aged guitar sound but still sounds bright. Thats a beauty for sure.
Looks and Sounds Awesome ! I like that it's not glossy 🎸🎶
I've got a Cort 12-String Acoustic guitar, she sounds fantastic.
Such a deep depth of knowledge and a head that still fits in that hat! You’re one of the joys of my day Justin. As for your playing I can’t actually find the words that I feel appropriate to describe it. Just makes my brain buzz and body fly 😘👍
Love the sound of an all mahogany guitar. Great balance of bass and treble, but still plenty of definition in individual notes. Reminds me of my Breedlove Pursuit Concert all mahogany.
This little "cheapie" sounds like a million bucks in your hands Justin!
I'd like to hear what Justin could do with the $300 Cort CJ Retro Jumbo guitar. It's a little thin sounding unplugged (because it's an all laminated guitar) but plugged in that thing really kicks. And in Justin's hands it would sound like a million bucks.
I've had a few Cort guitars. I can't say enough good. I had an acoustic which I gave to someone that wanted to learn, and then I still own the other. It's got a Gibson SG feel to it. Double humbucker which I replaced with some Seymore Duncan's some time ago. I have it set for low fast action but I'm thinking of setting it up to be optimal for slide. You can't really ever go wrong with owning a Cort. They play nicely and they hold up in time
Mine is Twenty something and still sounds like the first play!
Love the aged look and the sound is awesome. Truly outstanding instrument in that price range (around $600/EUR500 I believe). There's hope for us ordinary folks!!
I really need to practice more, great sound and impeccable playing as always.
Wow. Very impressed. I love orchestra model more than dreadnought so this one caught my eyes immediately, but when you started strumming it blew away..
That first one looks really great, eventhough they took some of the aesthetics off, it looks so much better with that more natural wooded look. And it sounds amazing! Very beautiful.
The first acoustic guitar I bought fourteen years ago was a Cort for around 250€ and I play it since that day! Great sound for low money!
Since I need a good second guitar in the next time, I guess the Core Series will be it!
I bought a Cort OC Mahogany partially due to your review. I'm amazed at how a guitar I paid just over $600 for can sing like that guitar does. I've owned it for two weeks and I find myself grabbing it over my much more expensive guitar for just picking on the couch. It's fantastic for finger style. I definitely don't regret my purchase. This is a perfect solid wood and lightweight gigging guitar, travel guitar, or just pick on the back porch guitar.
After a year what you think about this guitar? I'm thinking to pick one
I just bought my grandson the grand auditorium model of this guitar in Blackwood. I’ve been playing guitar for over 60 years, and this one really reached out and grabbed me by my ears!
Enjoyed your playing! And that Fishman acoustic guitar amp actually makes that under-saddle PU sound good. Nice demo for sure.
I have played several Cort guitars and they all played well and sounded good. Sadly the local dealer closed before I bought one.
I have a thirty year old Earth 1000.
The sound is absolutely incredible 😎
Finally, some recognition for an underated Maker! This Brand of Guitar was my first and still sounds as good as the first day! Thanks mate. Great music!
It should get better with age because of the solid mahogany body
@@briwood6328 Mine is Spruce and not Mahogany.
@@rustypebble6196 how's the inside look and how's the build quality?
@@rustypebble6196 appreciate the answer pal thinking of buying one ?
@@briwood6328Sorry, I just noticed your comments. The build quality is good. I would definitely recommend! I have personally been looking at this model as an upgrade. I'm split between: Cort MR710FSB Sunburst Acoustic Electric Guitar and Fender CD-60SCE All Mahogany. Cole Clark FL 3 Series Fat Lady Dreadnought, Australian Blackwood Face, Back & Sides, Cutaway Acoustic/Electric Guitar (CCFL3EC-BLBL)
The above Cole Clark model is a beauty but I can't justify the price. Undeniably one of the best in terms of quality but the Cort and Fender make exceptional low cost Guitars.
I have 3 different mahogany guitars, probably all laminate not solid top, from kadence, looks like this will be the 4th now... thanks, great video
Cort guitars are really good value, my first cort acoustic was only $200 but it was so good that my fender/gibson equipped "friends" burgled it after a gig lol
My wife bought me one more then ten years ago, perfect for what I need but yours sounds way better. I think its the player, not the instrument. 😆
Great playing ! Your fingers on both hands are magic ! Yes that guitar has a beautiful balance and warm tone but still is like glass on the highs without being harsh. Marshall Tucker Band played several Cort guitars on stage at shows. ☺
After you reviewed the gold series I ended up getting the Cort gold 08 om. Best decision I made, the tone of the guitar is so beautiful and has projection for days. Thanx Justin.
Is It better than the O6? I want to pick either one of those or one of the core series
@@brunomonasterio1584 got the same quesrion. Can’t decide between Gold 06 & 08, and cannot find a comparison between both. Buying online, and never tried a Cort before, but prices are fair and seem to be good quality and great value. Decisions, decisions...
Ive had a cort clasical for a good 8 yrs now i love it ive taken it everywhere with me the neck is staeting to pull in slightly but it still sounds great
It's always a joy to listen to your great blues, Justin!
It’s just soo cool seeing you play an everyman guitar and making it sound great. It seems to make guitar playing accessible to the average person. Make no mistake, I love listening to you play high end equipment, but for some reason this is one of my fave videos - thanks for keeping it real.
Bought mine yesterday. So excited.
Music to my ears, medicine to my soul.
Might not be just the guitar.
Cort means quality in NZ , and this one certainly sounds great to me , thank you Justin .
To me, the less "adorned" they are, the better. Love that simple look. And Cort DOES have the bang-for-buck thang down!
A very pleasing sound from this Cort guitar and a rewarding joy to hear you playing it.
Love it to. I used to have a Cort, don`t remember series, at that time(millenium) I belive the cost for was around 300, it delivered a realy nice tone to. I sold it and some other guitars to get a hand on a old school Kramer. This makes me wanna get a new one, fits my low budget but quality conscious life :)
I have watched a lot of your videos for your opinion of guitars and for how they sound. This is your absolute best sounding video ever. Well done!
I love the blues playing, keep the videos rolling , your playing is a inspiration to us meer mortals.I saw one of thses guitars in murtilewood it looked absolutely beautiful a work of art.🤩👍
Your guitar playing skills are amazing man, I love the style of music you play and I could listen to you playing all day long... Brilliant... 👏👏👌
i have a cort parlor with rosewood sides and neck, maple top, 3 piece maple / rosewood back, nice herringbone inlays, and a 12th fret neck join, and, it sounds at least as good as any martin or taylor or takimine or tanglewood or maton or whatever
good that Cort finally have this shape guitar. but it probably never appear neither in my country nor in my city. like 3/4 or any small shapes. never the less i learn to play on used 810op and it's alright for 40$ (or 100$ new).
Just got a parlour Core . What a great instrument . Sweet tone but the basic construction gives it such appeal . Anyone whoo can get one of these go for it
Sounds great : somewhat warmer through the amplifier . Great presentation too . You make them all sound like heaven !!!
Thank you for the great review of that great sounding Cort! Man you can make that thing sing!
I somehow ignored the guitars of this company. My son kept asking for a good acoustic guitar and I considered many options, but with our difficult economic and financial situation, all these options were difficult to implement. And then Justin opens my eyes to these guitars. I showed my son a video, he appreciated the sound of the guitar and said; "Justin knows a lot about guitars, I want one too." So we have only one option left - the "Cort" guitar.
I love nerding out over guitars I never heard of with Justin! I learn a whole lot every time and get to listen to some gorgeous playing. Thanks, Justin and Nikki!
The wonderful music I will hear when I travel takes me to another world This is a creativity that deserves to be appreciated
I LOVE ALL YOUR MUSIC VIDEOS!!! Thank you Justin.
Man, where do I start if I want to be able to pull of what you did for about 45 seconds starting at 4:17 ?
That’s amazing, I’ve been studying all your tutorials, but I’m not even close to it.
Any hint?
Gorgeous looking guitar that is an answer for many looking for a great tone, easy playing, well crafted yet affordable instrument to play and have fun with for a long time. 👍😎👍
It sounds do amazinggg Justin! Nice video again!!
Cort has come a very long way, hasn't it? Justin, do you know offhand what the gauge of those strings are?
Tell us a little more about the frets. I also want to compliment your playing. Did you listen to a lot of Johnny Winter? Like him you have great control over your thumb and fingers on your picking hand. I never could get good at playing with my thumb and fingers. I use a pick and the other 3 fingers. It just feels more natural to me using a hybrid style of picking. Keep sending us those fantastic sounds you make
Man I love your videos, always watch it and never regret it, thanks for inspiring so many guitar players and spreading the love of blues music all around the world! 🔥👍
Oh and great guitar by the way ^^
This video reminds me of a conversation with a buddy some days ago. Neither of us know where, or even IF we can buy Cort in USA, specifically buy the electrics.
Would you happen to know?
I bought a Cort recently. It is my first guitar . It's really nice looking. Good price. Worth checking out if you find yourself in the market. Seeing JJ say good things about it makes me feel I made the right choice.
Love your guitar unboxing videos, it just makes you wanna buy them all but it's really great to learn about them and their brands. Big thumbs up!
Sounds great!! It definitely looks “old time”.
I love Cort.... been the best guitars I played with...
nice sounding cort. The resonator and ironing board guitars in the background all pay homage to the back to the roots theme.
Just bought it online. Can't wait to play on this baby
My buddy's wife ordered him one. Really cheap price. I looked it over, tuned it up. It was a fun and good sounding player.
I'd consider a Cort, but I'm currently directing my coun into a rather nasty Alvarez addiction, lol.
Nice. You just made an affordable guitar sound like a million bucks
This kinda reminds me of my Orangewood Oliver. Does Cort make the Orangewoods?
Justin, you like every new guitar you try out. I think it is coz you are music personified..... Awesome!
such an amazing guitar so good tone and clean and the prize is perfect for my budget
Sounds great!
Of course you could make boot laces strung across a #2 washtub sound good! The touch of a master’s hand👍🏼
Nice guitar!
Cort guitars make some awesome tone for the dough! Cheers Justin!!
Sounds great!!! especially with your skill on the instrument.
Looks like a very nice little guitar! I've stopped playing the Framus Dreadnought I bought in 1973 - I've found it very difficult to play due to that darned Arthur - Itus getting into my fingers. But that one looks nice to play! Perhaps I should consider buying one. Thank you for the review!!
Cort makes great guitars. I have a GA10F. It would have been nice if you could have the other 2 models from the Core series to do a sound comparison. Great playing and its nice to see Cort get some love from a great player.
9:29 ..... after an amazing riff he is jus like .... yah you know .... It has a volume and tone knob xD like that would help me play like him JJ you R my acustic guitar god
Been about 30 yrs since I've seen a Cort. Man that sounds nice
Awesome video Justin & Nikki!!
That's a guitar I could invest in!
BOOOOOM!!🔥❤🤘👍🎸🎶
This man always has the last word in every note
Spanish guitar, beautiful voice, beautiful guitar.
I love your rendition of Windy and Warm. So good!!!
Such an incredible player...
Close your eyes and listen, this is what you might would've heard on the Mississippi Delta of yesteryear or possibly on one of those River boats in the days of Mark Twain. Justin seems to have a vast interest in music of all genres and is so talented!
No because blues wasn't invented then.
Waterloo should give you a guitar they are pricey and I wonder if they are better than this or your new Martin 17 0000. I wish I could get an honest opinion. Also Eastman has a great 00 guitar and it made as good as it get. Please give me some advice.
J.Johnson has more talent in his little fingernail than I have in my entire body. I can only dream of playing like him.....
Sounds great ! Love that vintage look !
Darn Justin.. you've just added another guitar into the mix that Iam wading thru for my mix.. Must admit that theres a whole bunch that appeals to me with this guitar.
Let's DIG IN! Thanks Justin for all the awesome content and just good times and good tunes!
Well, how has it held up if you still have it? I'd really like another Taylor, but after buying 2 new electrics in the last 5 months, i want something like this.
Noticing the thumb pick. What brands/materials of picks do you prefer when you use a pick?
not as expensive as i thought .Beautiful sound .
Are there somewhere the TABS for the song at 10:10? 😁
No problem on Cort, when no problem on shovel
I'm just starting to learn guitar, and.... damn.
I have a lot of practicing to do if I want to get to that level you have.
Sounds great and awesome playing! This was a good review of this guitar.
🔮 yes, the mist is clearing I see 🎸arriving . . STRONG 🌫️ BLOCKING . . I see SHOVEL ? . . & . . 🌹 🎰 🤠 🎸
No charge No charge reading faulty
(Plan B ➡️Cort guitar) Good Luck everyone
Really enjoyed the Chet Atkins! I think it was Windy and Warm. Hell it's all good!
Thanks for your reviews Justin, you make it look so easy
Try out the new fender pick. Love you
Wanted a review, received a performance. Fingerstyle groove is outstanding.
Cort core or fender fa 345 ce.... which should I buy... please let me know if you can help 😁
love your playing man..
👍👍 No, thank you. The pleasure is all ours. Thanks for another great video! Sign me up.✌
Thinking of upgrading to GA5F and now I see this..😁 only thing no EQ..is it good enuf with that built in pickup..?
