Leuk gefilmd, mooie opnamen ondanks het weer, het geeft een goed realistisch beeld.
Altijd interessant en gezellig, de duivenmarkt in Lier. Natuurlijk zijn het niet allemaal kampioenen, dat wordt ook niet gezegd. Met enige regelmaat heb ik daar zelf een knappe duif weten aan te schaffen, tevens enkele zeer bruikbare gezonde oudere duiven. Gewoon proberen.
Grotendeels vitesse/midfond. Niet teveel kijken naar ‘kleuren’ en misschien een paar euro extra uitgeven voor een uitdaging, echt een aanrader voor 2025 👌🏼👍🏼

How much the price? And how can i buy from abroad?
Have to be very lucky to buy anything decent to race or breed from in the market . Many of the sellers do not even race pigeons they breed to sell in the market .
I cannot judge who from the sellers does race the pigeons they breed / sell, but market regulars know who are the real pigeon racing aficionados.

What month exactly and dates do they usually sell?or is it year round on weekends?
The markets run from mid Feb to end March, every Sunday morning. So 6 markets this year.

Depends on the pigeon and the seller.

Each buyer has his/her own criteria for racing pigeons. I must say: many customers leave happy, and return the next week/ year.

Prices depend on the type of pigeons and the sellers. Today, the lowest price I heard was EUR 30, but often a deal is negotiated (e.g. when buying several at the same time)

Al dat keuren op de ruggen is gewoon een kwakkel ,ik heb zeer goede duiven gehad die werden afgekeurd wegens staart omhoog . Altijd heb je wel die grote kenners maar waarom spelen die dan niet sterk?
Elke duivenmelker heeft zo zijn eigen theorieën, vaak meer gebaseerd op traditie dan wetenschap. Is ook wat de duivensport mooie folklore maakt.
