Sick. Solid brake set up. So many people want to change calipers without realizing that Harley brake calipers are actually Brembo calipers with harleys name on them. 🤙🏻 I still think you should get rid of that pipe and go with a Thrashin pipe. TBR makes good stuff but they’re new to the Harley world, they rule the sport bike world. Get yourself a Thrashin pipe and you’ll gain more TQ and HP, no doubt.
Are you sure it doesn't have something to do with the adjustable lever linkage no releasing the brake switch for the rear? Just asking, the ecu needs to know the brakes are being applied.
hi Blockhead any chance you can post the link to the deluxe manufacturing brake linkage please? I have a Lowrider S and would like to raise the brake pedal. thank you Roy
Look good and always appreciate your bluntness...May I ask why not color inside of disk and leave friction zone area black. So color wear would be such an issue. Some bike there brother. Hooah
Find a local powder coater and take a pound of Eastwood Halcyon Gold along for them to use. Most coaters will use any powder you bring from a reputable company as long as it is virgin powder. I used that powder on my 98 VFR800FI and in person, in my opinion, that powder looks almost indistinguishable from the gold on your rotors.
Brakes work by frictional Surface Area. The rotors look great but with pedal rotors less surface area. If you look at Lambo, Ferrari, and 911’s huge rotors that are cross drilled or slotted.
Blockhead could you please post another link to the brake pedal adjuster? I see you posted one in previous comment but it just says “page not found” when I clicked on it.
I'm running Lyndall brakes and Gold Rotors Bow Tie cut as well #4209-1103 Front and Rear #4202-2101 (bow tie cut gold) , with the Gold brake pads 7254-G, All Lyndall Parts on my 2016 Street Glide . One thing I noticed is when I hit the front brake I feel the brake handle lever pulse , like it pulses on/off , Throbbing , ..... Im thinking its the ABS holding and releasing the brakes ...?? Is that normal ??
Most high performance brakes are slotted. You want as much surface area for friction. More surface area less fad. Larger rotors also increase surface area
Greaaaaat now I'll have to find somewhere that does gold brakes for my old ass GSXR :D Thanks Block.....my credit card thanks you :P But yeah they're beautiful.
Hi I have a 2020FXBB and I have been looking for a mid control brake lever that has adjustable I’m 5’3” and can not use forward if there’s a company that does have what I’m looking for please drop a link it will be great appreciated
She's a monster love it blockhead! Can't wait to see her in her final form. Also I'm 6'4 would you think I would fit on that bike and not look weird lol.
It is a scary thought that front brakes from a independent supplier is that much better then the Harley originals, Just a thought..Yeah, everbody looks cool...but right now I'm focusing about what BH is telling me, not about looks...breaks is a big part of a bikes function, right??....Good video BH, thank you!!
For that (GOLDEN COLOR) on your parts, check out: (Titanium Nitrate Coating.) - used on firearms// It penetrates the metal reinforcing it and a very strong against the elements, and easy to keep clean due to their slick nature. 👍
People keep forgetting that power comes with big responsibilities. Like on a car, you need better tires, brakes, suspension and stabilizer ... on forums I see lots of sportster with 1275 hammer kit with stock tires and brakes it doesn’t make sense.
@@MrJruta watch Blockheads video when he had to change his tires on his 131 because of traction. I agree it doesn’t change the weight but you go faster quicker which gives you less reaction times
Pro tree kustoms Apopka Florida they paint cars and bikes I rebuilt my streetbob there. Ask for jon he should be able to either paint the pulley in the color your looking for or find someone in his contacts who can.
hey blockhead i really like your bike :-D it soundt sooo good :-D i just fine your channle from her two wheels :-D i really like your videos, man in my country HD is soo inspensive so i ride a older Suzuki intruder :-D keep up the good work love from Denmark :-D
As much as those new rotors looking nice, there wasn't an upgrade made though for performance. Same friction surface material, less friction surface. If anything, you're going to wear through pads faster with the harsh edges of the rotor design. All you're going to experience is "butt dyno" bias since they're fresh brakes. Nice cosmetic upgrade, poor performance upgrade. Maybe if the rotors were bigger or wider pads, but since they're stock specs, it's not a performance upgrade.
Lyndall pads are a performance upgrade because they have a higher coefficient of friction compared to stock sintered pads. Even with a fixed amount of surface area and clamping force.
A brake company a few years back stated in their ads: Go fast bikes need stop fast brakes. True words.
Those are some sharp, amazing looking rotors. That is sweet!!
Hey Block, would like a bit more info on the rear brake linkage if you have a few moments. Thanks Sir.
These looks bad ass! Can't wait to see more of the GOLDzilla transformation 🤙🏼
What was the brake pedal extension thing you where talking about I need it asap
curious too think he said it was from delux

Those are nice, but they ain't no Callahan's. Chris Farley said so.

The bike is really coming along and looks so great! Great job, Blockhead!
Definitely Different! IMO they look cool AF!! Ride Safe

Hope it’s not a dumb question, but do the rotors keep the gold finish or does the contact area get polished?
That's the most important question right here!
Goldzilla livin’ up to her name. Great video as always.
Sick bro
Your mods are Very tasteful!
Perfect video on my birthday
I’m pumped
Happy birthday! 🎉

XD
Looks good! I’ll probably upgrade mine once the stock brakes are done.
Now it's more gold yay
Very sweet, on my list for my dyna
Nice brakes. If the rear tire is locking . . You're good. Have you tried resetting the EPU?
Try GALFER sintered pads, whey more grippy.
Im about to purchase a set of breaks for my Fxdr would you recommend these breaks Block head ?
Awesome video and quality parts!
Titanium nitrite coatings in gold look pretty damn similar id check them out

What's "pedal rotors"?

Nice rotors- do you have the link of your sissy bar ? I didn't find the video about it . thanks
Is the gold holding up on the rotors?
Those rotors look great! Too bad that gold color can't be maintained. Really works with the Blockhead logo!
Howcome you didnt do ss lines and fluid when you swapped the pads and rotors?
I wonder do you hear any noise from when your rollin or when your braking?
I'd really love it if you could make a track day and see what the 131 kit runs in the quarter with a normal rider on it and not a pro.
Great upgrade and something I’m looking into for my bagger 😎
Maybe Lyndall should start making parachutes or grappling hooks. In extreme stopping situations, maybe an ejection seat.
Would you ever consider converting to forward controls?
How did you get the gold on the Rotars?? did it come from the factory?

Slotted is to dissipate heat and brake dust, actually doesn’t improve stopping outside of those issues.
Speed king chain kit comes that gold and black

Maybe someone could Cerakote the pulley in gold??? I've never used it but maybe you can look into it?
Tom Landry is now a motorcycle mechanic. By the way, the revzilla link doesn't have any lyndall products for a '20 FXLRS.
MJK outta Calgary does that gold
So what is the dimension of rear rotor did Lyndall end up sending you as replacement?
Goldzilla sounds brutal!!😧😎
She’s always so angry 😡
Quickshifter install?
Brakes looks great, but those pentagram wheels u show at 1:32 are dope. Who makes those ?
That anodized gold will wear off on brakes?
It's titanium nitrite. Not anodized like aluminum. Same they use on tool steel drill bits and carbide endmills.
Those look so damn good!
I like goldddddddddd……..nicely
Done as always man
Maybe look into having the pulley anodized gold it will hold up better than powder =)
Those look amazing. 👍
Brembo Stylema brake caliper install?
The rotors look sic👌👍
With all that power and torque, do you guys feel you should change from a belt to chain drive?
Pauls brakes dont stop very good unless you use a very hard pad. We refuse to use them anymore at my shop

I believe you are going to have to find someone who does electroplating to get the type of coating which you may be able to polish up.
Rotors more for show vs performance. Not enough surface area with all the petals
