This is one of my favorite videos you've done. I had no idea about the connection Dior has with the royal family. Amazing!
Thank you for this most informative video. Just 2 small points. As you mention Blenheim Palace several times its important to get its pronunciation right. The correct pronunciation is "Blen-nuhm" rather than the way its spelt. Also the tiara Margaret wore with the Dior dress in Nov 1951 in Paris is the Cartier Halo tiara, crafted in 1936 and purchased by the then Duke of York (who became George V1) later that year for his wife. After Margaret, the tiara was sometimes worn by Princess Anne. Catherine, then Duchess of Cambridge wore it for her wedding in 2011 and has worn it occasionally since. By the way, am so very glad Meghan is NOT a Dior Ambassador.
Excellent episode. It is interesting to note the dark realities of life among all the glamour. The fact that Christian Diors' sister was held by the Gestapo. The link between the royal family and The Red Cross. All things considered does anyone actually believe that Queen Camillas elegant Dior ensemble yesterday wasn't worn to send a message?

@@fashionandluxury101 Nothing mean about it. Dior have said they've no idea of where the notion of her being a brand ambassador came from. A polite way of them saying No Way ! Do you really think they'd risk years of association with European Royalty to be destroyed by someone who is against what royalty means, but yet craves the titles and attention they bring ? She's now on a downward spiral, all brought on by her own self importance and greed.

The only association they've shown was to say Harry was wearing Dior to the That was not a good PR move for them, given the reception he got and the time he spent in public, showing off his Dior attire. There was talk of Harry being asked to promote the brand, but not Meghan. They now see, even that would be a bad idea, following his short show at the Coronation. So where do you think the notion they'd ever want her as any advert for them came from ? The most obvious place is her PR team, trying to influence Dior to risk it. The world has seen her typical choices of fashion, usually copying other iconic royals look. The problem is that the majority of times, her choice looks as if it's an ill-fitting, off the peg look-a-like copy. She obviously takes no notice of any stylists as they would tell her so, and her damaged reputation in fashion is now too risky for such an announcement for any fashion house to make.
She would have made a stunning brand ambassador. She has a lovely sense of style
