    Nice to see the differences between these boots. It’s great that both companies offer more widths, even if they have to be special ordered. I wish that Anderson Bean offered more toe shapes and a real leather stacked heel would be a bonus. More videos comparisoning boots would be beneficial for many people. Well done.

    Definitely choose the Fenoglio. The look...is much more classic. The Anderson heel...is square and blocky. The Fenoglio heel...is sleek and angular. (Plus...it is real stacked leather). Not a fan of Anderson Bean. But the Fenoglio...is a beautiful, well made boot.

    Hello Jeremiah, I am from Sweden and got a pair of ariats today, are they supposed to be so stiff? will they loosen up over time?, Also Is it normal for them to be tight at one part and a little loose in the heel?

    • @henrychevez3829
      @henrychevez3829 Год назад +1

      That’s normal in my experience. Once you “break in” your boots they will be very comfortable and easy to wear. It also depends which Ariats. I have a pair of ariats that I use for work and getting dirty, they’re tiring to wear. Still trying to break those in. I have other ariats that I broke in and are extremely comfortable to wear.

    I’m sure they’re fine boots but I’m just not into square toes.

    Fenogilo is underrated. Don't see many people talking about them. They make great boots

    I don't think you left anything out & covered everything. I like the looks of both boots, but I'm with you on the narrower shaft opening. I'm liking that fenoglio all the way around. I think they'll get the message & add another or heavier leather heel counter. 👍

    Anderson bean boots are not really the same as fenoglio. Anderson beans make the best square toe boots in terms of durability. The olathe line owned by the same company as Anderson bean is comparable to fenoglio however. Olathe wins in every way. Rubber lined heel counter, cutter or narrow square toe, cowboy heel, and much tougher and more comfortable from my experience.

    Just took a new job right next to the Fenoglio boot factory. It's going to get ugly boys, my poor poor pay check. Oh and Jeremiah its pronounced NOcona with a long o.

    Hi Jeremiah what’s the best way to contact you? I love your vids and think you could either make a video or help me out on my boot issue. A few years ago I ruptured my Achilles’ tendon long story short one foot seems larger than the other making boots hard to size up. Examples- one boot will fit nice the other will about fall off or it’s the opposite. I live in upstate ny not far from some of the places you’ve filmed . Either way if you want leave a way to contact your or I can leave you mine just lmk if you’re interested in hearing more or possibly giving advice. Thanks, brad

    I only got the one Anderson Bean boot but I love it. I was able to get a b width. With the insole it was slightly too tight. Fit perfectly without it, which is good because i was gonna take it out regardless lol. I definitely need to try a pair of Fenoglios at some point but I got a couple of boots I already own i need to wear lol

    Hi Jeremiah ,
    I own either of these brands.
    Just one thing: my Fenoglio elephant boots have a memory form soft leather insole which is removable. I saw a film about Fenoglio these days, in which it is said that sometimes they glue this soft leather insole, and sometimes they don't.
    (this removable insole is a thin soft leather with memory form glued under.)

    Fun comparison! I have to admit Fenoglio producing in Nocona is a super cool thing for that town. It’s great to see two boots, reasonably priced, that are still made on the US. I think Enid would be proud of what Fenoglio is doing.

    I have three pairs of Anderson Bean boots and AB are my preferred brand to wear. Two of them have the hybrid outsole, one has their Vibram rubber outsole. I thought that the hybrid would forever be my preferred outsole, but once I broke in the pair with the Vibram outsole and got used to it…now I don’t know. That Vibram seems to be more durable and certainly gives better ‘grip’ on certain surfaces and in certain weather conditions. I don’t think I could choose between the two now and I’m not likely to buy another pair of boots that don’t come with one or the other as an option. And I love the cowhide lining. Soft and smooth…like butter! Very comfortable. I don’t have skinny legs. They’re not chunky, but they’re not skinny. I’ve never tried on a pair of Fenoglio boots, but I don’t think I’d want an opening more narrow than my ABs. …But now I’m curious. I’m going to have to find a pair to try on and find out.
    Nice comparison video. Thanks for doing it!

      If you did get the chance to try the Fenoglio's, are they comparable in sizing to the Anderson Bean's or do they run smaller or bigger? I have 3 pair of Bean's and wanted to order a pair of Fenoglio but would like a pointer on their fit, first. Thanks if you can reply

    I have a pair of AB elephant boots, love the look, design, and quality of the boots. The problem I find with AB, they are made on the small side of your size. I'm having problem with the Instep on my boots being too tight. The sales guy assured me when he helped find and fit these boots that area would eventually wear in to fit more comfortable.I need to go try the Fenoglio Boots and see how they compare in fit.

    Hi Jeremiah, was wondering how the sizing is in comparison? Does one boot seem bigger in the same exact size, such as both boots in 11D? Or would you say they both are roughly the same?

  • @kathyboren9834

    Why is it so hard to find men's AB or most other brands in B width? It gets harder every year to find a B at our local western stores. So far we've tried 4 western stores with 0 luck. Their reply is go to a D width in a smaller size. For the price we want about that fits.

    I have owned many pairs of Anderson Bean, sometimes my local boot store has them on sale for as LOW as $150 (not AB horsepowers) so I buy them allot. I had a pair of Bison leathers lasted 7 years of hard labor, that pair had one resole and then just kept gluing on those thin vibram temporary outsoles whenever they wore thin myself. As for the Fenoglio I handled a pair at the same store and the weak "heal counter" real turned me off, I'm not sure how they offer any heel support.

    I own 3 pair of Anderson Beans. and they are very durable, so it Beans for me out of these 2, I won't own any boot without a hard leather insole the self conforms to your foot. as soon as I seen that soft insole inside the Fenoglio that's all I needed to see that they are not for me.

    I gotta go with the beans. The hard leather liner, thicker counter, and lack of plastic just makes me think you could get more life out of them. More traditional. Also I have a few beans with different toe shapes and heels. My favorite are ivory elephants with a round toe and taller heel.

    One thing you failed to touch on and I'd like to know which is better and why. Fenoglio sole is sewed on. Anderson Bean sole is pegged or nailed.

    • @JeremiahCraig
      @JeremiahCraig  2 года назад +1

      Fenoglio pegs their leather soles too. I couldn't make that comparison here because one is rubber sole and one is leather and most companies don't peg rubber soles and if they do they do with brass nails. I'm happy to make a video on pegged vs not pegged leather soles though. That's a good idea. Thanks so much for watching!
