This is a good trade for both teams. Packers start anew, get two pretty decent draft picks. While the Jets have a Superbowl window that lasts at least 1 year, and possibly 2-3 years. Of course those draft picks could be amazing… like Sauce Gardener or Breece Hall, or Garrett Wilson. But the Jets feel as though they are basically only a QB away from competing for a Superbowl. And they feel their roster is good enough to lose 2 premium picks for that chance.
@@erichall3090 Super Bowl is hard to predict, even for the Chiefs. But if the Jets make the playoffs for the first time in 12-13 years, and win a playoff game or two, the trade will be successful for them. And if Aaron Rodgers comes back and ends up playing for 2-3 years, then a Super Bowl win will be easier to predict for them. The Packers, I don't know if they'll even make the playoffs. If Jordan Love does well, and keeps improving, then a playoff prediction in the next 2-3 years would be possible.
You can’t determine if it’s an overpay at this point because we need to see how well and how long Rodgers plays for them. But whatever happens this is going to be very entertaining both on the field and off. NY Media vs a new age Cali QB could be very spicy.
Yeah, it always goes on the head of the Quarterback, regardless of mistakes and injuries of other players. It's not really fair, Wilson had two more wins everyone would be talking how good he is regardless of his statline. I'm not a Jets fan but I feel for the kid, he's not as bad as the media wants to make him sound and still could be their QB of the future.
As a GBP 60 year fan and Owner, Rodgers had his opportunities, glad to shed the guaranteed millions off our hands. Rodgers did the Packers a huge favor, Rodgers Green and Gold forever helping the Packers out. He knows the tank has a hole in it due to age.
We only need a Tackle lol AVT is top 5 at his position, then Laken Tomlinson, Mekhi Becton, and Connor McGovern. Those are all above average pieces who just happened to get unlucky with injuries last year.
I think what’s crazy and I’m not saying it’s gonna happen but Zach Wilson could be rodgers backup for 2 years and if he learns and developes he’ll come back as the starter and still only be 25 years old
Agreed. He’s getting in year three what would have benefit him in year one. I don’t think he’s ever gonna be elite but his arm talent will keep him in the league.
Rodgers has to survive that division for 1 year first before he decides to play another . Just because his deal is 2 yrs doesn't mean he will play 2 years.
@@mzm1011 True, it won't make the playoffs any easier, but it could make getting to the playoffs easier. As far as the Jets go, I think this was their missing piece they needed, - an elite QB. It will make the AFC East a very tough division.
I remember what everyone said about Brady and his last season with the Patriots. People never learn. Brady and Rodgers can’t make any average Joe great like they used to in their primes but if you put them on a loaded team, they will show that they still got stuff in the tank.
What an awesome comeback by the ATL Hawks.. put some respect on that birds name when you mention it! Tray being Tray he will make some awesome shots then he will miss some crazy shots but we in the Atl have learned to embrace his style of ball.. the rest of the starters and bench really picked up their game and defense in the final minutes of the game.. Great job by Collins he picked up his scoring and looked good on his shots as well as Boga.
I hate when analysts say “He lost to Tampa, He lost to Seattle” etc. Football is a team gameThe Packers lost to those teams. When we played Atlanta in the NFC championship game we had like the 30th ranked defense in the league. We had no buisness being there anyways. There’s so many other factors that come into play when teams lose and win than just one player. QB’s get too much credit when their teams win and too much blame when their teams lose
he was horrible against seattle where wilson threw 4 interceptions and and got 3 points off of 4 brady interceptions. It's fair to criticize a quarterbacks poor play in big moments
@@jujubucks12 he did play poor and ur right to critique players bad moments in big games, but to say we lost that game because of his QB play is false. Our defense completely collapsed the last 5 minutes, the awful execution of the onside kick, and the conservative play calling of Mike McCarthy all played major roles to us losing that NFC game, not just because Rodgers played bad or up to his standards.
@@jujubucks12 sure, there may be some games that he didn't play his best but that is hardly indicative of him being the sole reason of their playoff losses. Let's not forget about how a terrible play call by the Packers defense allowed for a half ending TD against TB, pushing the score to 21-10 at halftime. Rodgers still threw two more TDs in that game. Let's not forget how there was only 5 minutes left in the game against Seattle when Wilson threw his 4th INT. And from there, McCarthy's ultra conservative play calling allowed for Seattle to climb back into the game. And also the infamous botch onside recovery. Even look at the most recent playoff loss to SF. Yes Rodgers played subpar, but they could have still very much won the game if special teams was even somewhat competent. The QB position will always receive far more flak than any other position and will always be judged unfairly for wins/losses and Super Bowls when the sport is always a team effort
Rodgers is the one talking about having some MVP level play left in him. He hasn't shown that at all in the playoffs or end of the year the last few years. He got chances and played poorly
What people arent considering is Aaron had trouble in the NFC. Now he is going to to a stacked AFC i feel like its gonna be way harder for him. He has to play the Bills 2x maybe meet in the playoffs. Then he has the Bengals an Chiefs. Ravons Chargers and The Jaguars are comin around to be decent
@@CesarPerez-it8xy Very True. I love The Packers. And Aaron is a mount Rushmore qb. But he does choke alot in the playoffs. I understand it's the best teams in the playoffs but. I truly believe he relied on devante so much is was a problem. Aaron could improve. Maybe he will with the jets. Time will tell
Cooper Kupp could probably play QB, thats just the type of guy he is. Always willing to step in where needed for the team, real coaches son mentality on him thats for sure.

It’s insane how the media just lets the Packers organization off the hook so much Rodgers, & Farve have gotten all the criticism while the front office just sit back & collects checks while being mediocre at their jobs
I'm 27 years old. I watched the end of Favre's career, and all of Rodgers. I will always love Rodgers for everything. It was sadly just time to move on. I'm happy with this trade. Both sides won imo. Jets got their QB, and Packers got fair compensation.
Rodgers has missed 18 games since he became the starter in 2008. Lamar has already missed 13 games in 10 less seasons and also missed a playoff game last year. Lamar is much more of an injury concern than rodgers, and Lamar is looking for how much guaranteed on his contract? I think it was a lot to give up for Rodgers but he is better than all of the QB's we've had in the last 20-30 years combined. He makes our team much better this year than we were last year. But who knows, maybe it'll be a huge flop, I hope not.

Correct on Everything.....BUT....🤔Aaron Rodgers was saying he was 90% going to retire (from a Rebuilding Green Bay Packers team). The deal the Jets did makes zero sense when you consider the asking price was very close to the price for Lamar and they are paying loads of money and sinking their cap for a few years anyway.
The Jets deal they don't have to put a ton of money in escrow right off the rip. Lamar wanting so much guaranteed money means whatever team owner signs him has to cough up like 160-180m right at the time.
@@danlorett2184 it is a valid point but we are still talking big money against the cap no matter what. Looking at it the other way around, Lamar would be guaranteed to be yours for four or five years. Right now, Rodgers is only guaranteed to be yours for one.

Jets really only gave up one premium pick. The first round pick this year is just swapping #13 for #15, so the Jets just dropped back two slots.
Yes it's a good trade and neither one will win a super bowl lol.
This is Brett farvs all over again
“D.B. Cooper” is crazy 😂
You can’t determine if it’s an overpay at this point because we need to see how well and how long Rodgers plays for them. But whatever happens this is going to be very entertaining both on the field and off. NY Media vs a new age Cali QB could be very spicy.
It's gonna be entertaining, that's for sure.😅
“Cooper Rush, Cooper Manning, D.B. Cooper ain’t none of the Coopers Cooper Kupp”
Totally balanced trade for both teams
Why is everyone saying the Jets gave up a lot. They essentially just gave them 1 first round. That first round swap is nothing
Aaron won’t change anything in NY.
Can you get immunized against choking 😂😂😂😂
Congrats to the Jets, and the Bears 😂
Agreed. Bears are now favorites over Pack. Spoiled Pack fans now mediocre as they deserve.
🤣
😊thank u
Bills will still be on top of the division. Favre and Joe Flacco couldn't turn the Jets around. Rodgers will generate a little spark but not enough.
Got Damn Shannon let Skip talk every time Skips says something Shannon cuts him off with stuff we don’t want to hear.
“All Zach Wilson had to be was competent”
He was before the injuries on the team
Yeah, it always goes on the head of the Quarterback, regardless of mistakes and injuries of other players. It's not really fair, Wilson had two more wins everyone would be talking how good he is regardless of his statline. I'm not a Jets fan but I feel for the kid, he's not as bad as the media wants to make him sound and still could be their QB of the future.
Just the Jets ruining another QB, nothing to see here...
@@danlorett2184 How is it the Jets fault, everybody was looking great except for Zach lol
@@HaydenBnice It's the Jets. He's a QB. You have a record, you know.
The fact Unc don’t like rodgers Bt will never discredit his talent is another reason I fw him so much ‼️
Unlike his partner
As a GBP 60 year fan and Owner, Rodgers had his opportunities, glad to shed the guaranteed millions off our hands. Rodgers did the Packers a huge favor, Rodgers Green and Gold forever helping the Packers out. He knows the tank has a hole in it due to age.
You don't own a thing. Great story
@Cal Watch you really wrote that much? Who is going to read that? Are you ok?
"Cooper Rush, Cooper Manning, D.B. Cooper, Cooper Kupp... none of the Cooper's!" LMFAO
I don’t agree with Shannon’s final take of its super bowl or bust for jets, id say if they make it to afc champs it’s a successful szn for them
It’s super or bust
Immunized against chocking 😂😂😂 Skip petty
Jets need a O-line too.
We only need a Tackle lol AVT is top 5 at his position, then Laken Tomlinson, Mekhi Becton, and Connor McGovern. Those are all above average pieces who just happened to get unlucky with injuries last year.
Rodgers will find out the AFC East isn’t as easy as the NFC North. Run Aaron. Run!!!!!!
I think what’s crazy and I’m not saying it’s gonna happen but Zach Wilson could be rodgers backup for 2 years and if he learns and developes he’ll come back as the starter and still only be 25 years old
That’ll be the best thing for Zach, tbh. More time to develop
@@matthewsawczyn6592 His ego is a problem.
Can you get immunized against choking?😅😂😂😅
I agree in order for this trade to work it’s either Super Bowl or bust
As a Vikes fan, this is the best news I could hope for. It could make the Vikings season much easier.
Unless it's a Jets VS Vikings SB 😅🤣
But the playoffs is where they need to really prove themselves...they still aren't anything without a sb.
Rodgers is not Brady so this is not happening.
You can't compare Arron to Tom! Arron's overrated AF!
Skip is remembering Joe like that was his first crush lmao
What an awesome comeback by the ATL Hawks.. put some respect on that birds name when you mention it! Tray being Tray he will make some awesome shots then he will miss some crazy shots but we in the Atl have learned to embrace his style of ball.. the rest of the starters and bench really picked up their game and defense in the final minutes of the game.. Great job by Collins he picked up his scoring and looked good on his shots as well as Boga.
Brady Set the bar high for AR
I think a rod gonna do well with all that talent around him
I think so, too. Super cliche sounding-- but anyone who doesn't think so are just haters.
It’s not about doing well with what you have up. It’s about going to the sb. The problem is the afc is not the nfc. It’s not going to be easy at all
And the media being biased acting like chicks screaming like he is Pat mahomes coming ain’t helping the situation
He Will Do Great During The Regular Season
😂 I love seeing Skip drag Aaron bleeping Rodgers. I know it hurts more because it's absolute facts

Funny how they don’t mention Aaron Rodgers 150 million Fully Guaranteed contract money
The real question is....
Will A ROD pull a mathew stafford???
Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic broke/are breaking the mold in tennis in terms of playing at a high level into their later 30s also.
I'm a die hard packers fan. We've always relied on him to carry the franchise with sorry after sorry Defenses and special teams play.
@@CesarPerez-it8xy Very True. I love The Packers. And Aaron is a mount Rushmore qb. But he does choke alot in the playoffs. I understand it's the best teams in the playoffs but. The amount of times The team including Aaron have choked. Aaron is a lot to blame for in the recent years. The 49ers game last year in the play offs he kept targeting Adam's and Cobb was wide open. I truly believe he relied on devante so much is was a problem. Aaron could improve. Maybe he will with the jets. Time will tell
To win the division in the NFC North you beat the Lions, Bears, and Vikings in the past 18 years those were below average teams at best.
Cooper Kupp could probably play QB, thats just the type of guy he is. Always willing to step in where needed for the team, real coaches son mentality on him thats for sure.
The Jets will regret this trade
They will , well the fans will
I disagree. They didn't really give up a hole helluva lot. It is worth the risk
@@NWI_Steel time will tell
That was one of the calmest endings to one of their debates that I’ve seen.
I wonder if he'll go to the Vikings after a year like Favre did lol. This whole thing has been like history repeating itself.
Shannon at the end 😂 that is meme quality.
Dude is a great regular season quarterback with one championship to his name he will put up great stats and that’s about it.
This is just to boost tickets sales. Aaron Rodgers is definitely not Tom Brady when Brady turned Tampa around. I see him being out with something by week 6 or 7.
TRUTH!
Skip doesn’t know his facts this is why I usually SKIP his part! Brett Farve was a Jet quarterback for one season and he has 3 MVPS, so Aaron Rodgers is not the last quarterback since Joe Namath.😂 Don’t let him lie to y’all confidently, not knowing the real facts.💯
Funny how Farve went to the Jets too
It’s insane how the media just lets the Packers organization off the hook so much Rodgers, & Farve have gotten all the criticism while the front office just sit back & collects checks while being mediocre at their jobs
Thanks for the years on our team, Arod! Lots of great games and memories at Lambeau! 💚💛🧀🏈👍🏻🍻
I'm 27 years old. I watched the end of Favre's career, and all of Rodgers. I will always love Rodgers for everything. It was sadly just time to move on. I'm happy with this trade. Both sides won imo. Jets got their QB, and Packers got fair compensation.
Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, Rodgers, Jackson, Lawrence, Herbert, Tua, Watson. Maybe Wilson? The AFC is loaded
He wont last 6 games behind the Jets O-line. Back to square 1 after this season Jets. Wish they pursued Lamar instead..
Maybe they can use the picks to strengthen the O-line
Rodgers has missed 18 games since he became the starter in 2008. Lamar has already missed 13 games in 10 less seasons and also missed a playoff game last year. Lamar is much more of an injury concern than rodgers, and Lamar is looking for how much guaranteed on his contract? I think it was a lot to give up for Rodgers but he is better than all of the QB's we've had in the last 20-30 years combined. He makes our team much better this year than we were last year. But who knows, maybe it'll be a huge flop, I hope not.
I am a jets fan and I am not happy wit this trade
@@antiwanestone not surprised lmao, you’re used to losing all the time

Correct on Everything.....BUT....🤔Aaron Rodgers was saying he was 90% going to retire (from a Rebuilding Green Bay Packers team). Rogers is smart and knew his playoff/SB window was slimming by going back with the Packers.
Thus he had the 90% retirement statement. It's all about Context and the Psychology of Aaron Rodgers.

Finally, out of NFC North. Go Bears
I can remember Skip trading Dak for Rodgers
